The study of the PNLD collections are essential to understand the pedagogical paths taken by the school culture and the teaching-learning relationships. The goal of the present research was to analyze the use of film productions by the didactic book, bringing reflections referring to the teaching of history. For this, we consider the two collections most distributed nationally by the PNLD in the year of 2015, referring to the High school stage. In addition, a thematic clipping was necessary within the collections, being chosen as object of study the history of Colonial Portuguese America. The analysis produced reflections on representations of history teachings today and contributed on rethinking the limits and possibilities of the filmic use of textbooks.Item O espelho do Brasil : uma reflexão sobre a origem de uma nação pelo cinema comercial(2018) Lima Neto, Ivônio Burégio de; Silva, Fabiana de Fátima Bruce da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1540421518242292; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5817087408195733Cinema is still oneofthemost popular waysofentertainingpeople. A period that has as a characteristic a posture focused on the process of political and social control. We analyze the emergence of repressive thinking in the early 1930s, which settled in Brazil through a revolution aimed at ending the values of the old republic, which extended in the country from 1889 to 1930. We will see how Getúlio Vargas made use of the propaganda to control the mass and achieve through alienation, driven by the media, popular support. We will understand how suppressed was the forces that opposed this authoritarian form of government. And finally we will analyze the view taken on women in this period, a very patriarchal and subordinate view. We will see how women who did not submit and fight against this regime were reprimanded and persecuted.Item Trens de subúrbio nas rotas de exportação: uma dinâmica urbana para as ferrovias pernambucanas de longa distância (1858 – 1900)(2018-02-21) Cardoso, André Luiz Rocha; Albuquerque, Mariana Zerbone Alves de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8419255160811830; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1911220277826255From the second half of the nineteenth century, Pernambuco experienced the so-called "transportation revolution". This moment is characterized by the appearance of the first railroads in the province, linking the producing centers of the interior to the capital Recife. This, in turn, experiences a moment of population growth and given its strategic location is consolidated as one of the main economic centers of Brazil. This relevance is evidenced by the urban density and the improvements in means of transport needed at the time. Given this context, as long-distance railroads, with a main characteristic of export routes and transportation of people to areas further away from the coast, they also provide support for demand in Recife and its suburbs. From this context, the objective of this work is to identify the causes and consequences of the flows and uses of the railroads that depart from Recife towards the interior and cut their surroundings at the end of the 19th century. The importance of conducting this study is based on the identification of another dynamics of displacement in the railways of Recife and its surroundings during this period, increasing passenger transportation, which contributes to the understanding of urban space production through the rails in Recife and its surroundings from the 1850s.Item A educação primária e média no Recife em tempos de ditadura civil-militar: reforma educacional e controle político (1968-1971)(2018-08-16) Silva, Adriano Ricardo Ferreira da; Miranda, Humberto da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1254987493556824; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7168486752661621This work aims to analyze how the local political class undertook the Reform of the 1st and 2nd Cranes Education of 1971 as a Primary and Medium Education project in Recife. For this, we read the scenario in which Law 5.692 / 71, which established the 1971 Reform in Brazil, was implemented. Later, we verify, from the political perspective, how the Reformation of 1971 was received in the local context of the city of Recife. Finally, we sought to identify, from the inaugural speeches of the heads of executive power of the federal, Pernambuco, and Recife states, how the local political ruling class interacted with the central power of the Regime of the Civil-Military Dictatorship, in the context of the implementation of the 1971 Reform. This Reformation was an important element, not only of the materialization of the political project of the State, but also as an instrument of control of the Regime on the federal states and their capitals through Education. In this sense, we asked: how did the local political class undertake the 1st and 2nd Grade Reform of 1971 as a Primary and Middle Education Project in Recife? Methodologically, we developed a research of qualitative approach, using as research source, documents such as: Official Gazettes of the state government of Pernambuco, speeches held by heads of the executive branches of the three administrative spheres, as well as local periodicals. The survey results show that the 1971 Reform was adopted on the national scene without any resistance. In Pernambuco, especially in its capital, there was a great articulation between the local political class and the central power of the Regime. This provided a reformulation in the structure, creating bases for a "reformation" before the creation of the Law that established it.Item Trajetória do Movimento Nacional de Meninos e Meninas de Rua no Recife na década de 1980(2018-08-16) Clemente, Heliwelton do Amaral; Miranda, Humberto da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1254987493556824; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6751714693764451The National Movement of Boys and Girls of the Street (Movimento Nacional de Meninos e Meninas de Rua - MNMMR) is a non-governmental organization founded in 1985, made up of militants and social educators who articulate themselves politically in defense of the rights of children and adolescents who experience different forms of abandonment. The proposal of the movement consisted of a society based on the integral State. The group had as its goal the conception that the State should not be only the Government, the Administration of a country, but, above all, a people united by the language and religion, so the nation and the State must integrate for the same intent, characterizing a nationalist movement, typical of the first half of the twentieth century. This paper aims to highlight the role of women in the movement, in the State of Pernambuco, between the years 1932 to 1937, and their assistentialists actions and on the education at Pernambuco. In our perspective, we pursed to show that integralist women had a kind of political and social action, within the objectives of the family and traditional movement. As a conservative and traditional movement, we understand that Integralism opened some space for women to act in the political life of the country, considering that in the 1930s women were still struggling for political participation. Thus, we can say that Plínio Salgado was ahead of its time, though these women went to the political life to defend the conservative ideals of their time. The Integralism enabled women to educate for political participation, when they acted in literacy for the people, obviously in defense of Plinio Salgado. Here we are not questioning their ideologies, but the space that the AIB opened for women in the political life of the 1930s, when they still could not vote.Item Os (des) caminhos da justiça no regimento dos ouvidores da capitania de Pernambuco (Séculos XVII - XVIII)(2018-08-22) Lira, Iviana Izabel Bezerra de; Menezes, Jeannie da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0863557395682263; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7065888158763208The magistrates were the ministers pointed to administrate the justice in the name of the King. In order to understand this enigmatic figure, as well as the other personages who also are part of the Rural Maracatu, I took as reference the Maracatu de Baque Solto Cruzeiro do Forte. The objective of this work is to verify if the Maracatu de Baque Solto Cruzeiro do Forte follows the mystic religious line, what it is common in Rural Maracatu, or is only one merrymaking. The theoretical-methodological approach was qualitative, based in theorists Assunção (2010), Burke (1992), Eliade (2008), Frazer (1982), Guinzburg (2006) e Oliveira (1982). To collect the data I did use of participant observation, semi-structured interviews, literature, photographic resources and filming to better capture the narration of the interviewee. The result of the study allowed settle any doubts, break some myths and negative and discriminatory interpretations, mainly by the location of the maracatus rurais in periphery areas. The study focuses on the area chosen to host the local government of the West Indies Company, where problems related to environmental degradation, potentiators of diseases among the inhabitants, hinder to maintain the population’s healthy. This state of affairs was influenced by the choice for the estuarine zone, where commercial operations were already carried out and the main infrastructures for this purpose were already in place (seaport and warehouses). The negative factors which the elected area offered the population, such as the maintenance of salubrious conditions to the detriment of the military defense, stood out especially after the end of the administration of Count Johan Maurits van Nassau-Siegen in 1644. The analysis tries to relate occurrences of diseases, epidemic or non-epidemic, in the invading population already deprived of food and other supplies during the long insurrectionary period. In the last eight years of Dutch occupation, the reductions of the occupied territories and the concentration of population in the urban area of the Company's local headquarters, caused a loss of salubrious conditions for the resident population, and the casualties ended up potentializing the loss of resistance capacity by the occupants.Item Prostituta, mulher da vida (não tão) fácil: controle e opressão à prostituição na cidade do Recife (1965- 1970)(2019) Silva, Driele Claudio Moura da; Silva, Marcília Gama da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0090863442089957; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2031631982268955work aims to analyze prostitution in the city of Recife during the years 1965 to 1970, in order to investigate This how this city lived with the "prostitution market" in the years that marked the beginning of the CivilMilitary Dictatorship in Brazil. Thereby, we seek to know, analyze and historicize the Home of the Students of the Empire, as well as the profile of its members, identifying in the literary productions contained in the collection the main criticisms to colonial actions, discussions about an identity, revaluation of cultural aspects of possessions and notes related to the desire to disengage from the Portuguese domain. Thus, the study was done through the reading and analysis of documents produced within the institution, available in the digital collection of Mário Soares Foundation (FMS), Union of Capital Cities of Portuguese Language (UCCLA) and bibliographical references, among theses, dissertations, articles and books that contribute to the discussion of the importance of Portuguese-language African literary productions as a space to generate new visions about the internal conflicts and subsequently the history of these countries during the second half of the 20th century. Therefore, the present study seeks to contribute to the elaboration of a contrasting mosaic to the discourses disseminated by the colonizer, which are still present in a certain way in many spheres of knowledge related to the African continent.Item Morte, rituais fúnebres e epidemias: as implicações na criação do Cemitério Público do Recife (1850-1860)(2019-01-29) Melo, Igor Cordeiro de; Bandeira, Élcia de Torres; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4669638328828195; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9537347880328155This paper aims to assess historically the attitudes of several western societies on facing death and epidemics, in order to present the changes and continuities of these attitudes on the conception of the off-wall cemetery in Recife city. It relates the conception of this space to the European influence in taking prophylactic measures on the social sphere as well as measures of urban reorganization, changing the relationship of the social actors and religiosity in their practices and funeral rituals in the second half of the nineteenth-century. In the 1800’s, the funeral practices in Recife and their relation to life’s finitude are influenced by different societies in different historical periods. The purpose of this work is to present a historiographical review of the theme, following, from the Middle Ages to the nineteenth-century, the approaches to death, funeral rituals and epidemics along with the suggested debates about these issues, trying to present fears and problems induced by them in to the societies, the transformations and resistances to changes and the solutions pointed, with in a hygienist model in the nineteenth-century Recife. It is based on the theoretical support offered by Phillipe Arriès and Jacques Le Goff, renowned writers of this subject. Socially, death presents itself strangely and inconveniently. In the various historical periods the finitude of life has been questioned, but this unknown did not prevent individuals from presenting the most varied array of explanations, according to their historical age, using their socio-cultural interactions and the perception of the world around them. The daily presence of death reveals its importance so that we can live with it without so many fears, being aware of the measures able to delay it that exist in societies excelling on the concerns and actions of hygienic matters that guarantee the improvement of the population’s quality of life. These measures reshaped the death rites in Recife in the eighteen-hundreds, shifting the burials to the public cemetery of Recife, pointing out the relevance of this work.Item Memórias de Tatuoca – uma história familiar(2019-01-31) Silva, Jaqueline Soares da; Silva, Joanna Lessa Fontes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3516424517958161; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1261704089125574In this article we present the process that recorded the way of life and the impacts caused by the process of forced change of the inhabitants of Tatuoca Island to Vila Nova Tatuoca, based on the genealogy and memory of its older inhabitants. This forced change was caused by the expansion works of the Suape Port Industrial Complex. Through the memories of the ancient inhabitants of the Island, we show another version of the facts about the impacts generated from the arrival of the Suape complex in the region. Methodologically, we used some techniques to sensitize memory, we interviewed five elderly women considered leaders of the main families of the area and, from these, we created the genealogy of some of the families that lived in Tatuoca Island, as well as presenting part of the reported memory by the ancient residents. During the work we could observe that the concept of family is an important element for the strengthening of the identity of the community and for the construction of a collective and unique identity of the last inhabitants of Tatuoca Island. In this sense, the concepts established by the ancient Greeks like mythos and logos are fundamental stones to better understand the fascination for fantasy, for fiction. After all, what the retake of the medieval universe can tell about the formation of subjectivity on the Late Modernity? This new reading of the fantastic and mythologic enables this fragmented Self another relation on humanity-nature, the experience of belonging and identity, in communion with archetypes most commons throughout the human history like being tied with the divine, the magic, the heroism without putting your own flesh and bones in risk. World of Warcraft is a game played by millions around the world, and, to the analysis here proposed, methodologically, the History blends together with Antropology, especially the Structural of Lévi-Strauss, and with the Psychology, heavily shouldered on Jung’s writings, to observe the Homo Sapiens in a macro and broad way, pointing towards directly to the individual insert on Azeroth’s universe and the resignifications built by this new digital world and new shocks of experiences with others individuals from different cultures and societies around the globe. Lastly, the result of this scientific quest was to open new methodology ways to use electronic games as historical sources, the understanding of how players redesigns their way of thinking using fantasy while it invents itself from reality, especially, the romantic imagination of the Medieval Age, and links Azeroth’s universe and its referential archetypes.
