Item Vilas operárias e as reconfigurações urbanas de Santo Amaro no século XX(2025-02-17) Souza, Carolina Rego; Albuquerque, Mariana Zerbone Alves de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8419255160811830; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7174481089042991This study aims to analyze the territorial, urban, and social transformations over time in the Santo Amaro neighborhood. It is essential to highlight that, in the early 20th century, hygienist and eugenic urban policies had a significant influence on the changes that occurred in the city of Recife. Following the intervention of the state government, led by Agamenon Magalhães, which targeted the elimination and removal of Mocambos, an intense gentrification process began, promoting a new dynamic of urban modernization and sanitization. This process led to significant alterations in the urban space, including the construction of several workers' villages in Santo Amaro, driven both by initiatives from the Liga Social Contra o Mocambo and private investments.Item “Memórias de ferro”: o ensino baseado em projeto científico realizado com turmas do ensino médio, em escola privada de Camaragibe - PE (2024)(2024-12-19) Santos, Mateus de Souza; Barbosa, Lúcia Falcão; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5667594441132627This article aims to report and reflect on the development of the scientific project " Iron Memories: repression, torture and resilience of women during the military dictatorship in Pernambuco (1964-1985)", carried out with students from the 1st grade of High School, in a private school in Camaragibe-PE, in 2024. From this experience report, we intend to analyze the application of scientific projects in the teaching of History, aiming to work with historical contents through more active and critical approaches, as defended by Demo (2003) and Dewey (1916). This project integrated theory and practice, seeking to promote the engagement and intellectual autonomy of the students involved.Item “Educar-nos a nós próprios”: a pedagogia anticolonial as Escolas-Piloto do P.A.I.G.C. (1950 -1979)(2025-01-29) Santos, Letícia Maria Torres Melo dos; Silva, Giselda Brito; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2327404253426354; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1550315608408255This article addresses the anticolonial pedagogy of the Pilot Schools, created within the scope of the African Party for the Independence of Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verde (P.A.I.G.C), during the period of the struggle for independence and afterwards. The objective of this work is to situate the profile of Amílcar Cabral, as the founder of P.A.I.G.C. We also seek to highlight the contribution of Paulo Freire and Mário de Andrade to the anticolonial education project proposed by Amílcar Cabral, indicating their places of dialogue with Amílcar Cabral and with the Pilot Schools project. The goal is to indicate how these dialogues were important for the “Pilot Schools” during the process of anticolonial struggles, identifying the pedagogical thinking of Amílcar Cabral and of those who most collaborated with his pedagogical project for the formation of a historical consciousness focused on colonial liberation. To this end, we sought to demonstrate how these Schools represented a counterpoint to the colonial educational policy implemented by the colonizers, using program documents produced by the P.A.I.G.C on educational policy during the liberation process and documents that deal with the presence of Freire's Method and the participation of Mário de Andrade in the pedagogical project of the Schools.Item A linguagem simbólica: ut pictura poesis no sermão de Nossa Senhora da Conceição pelo jesuíta Antônio de Sá (1658)(2025-01-27) Silva, Victória Lorrany Almeida; Leite, Bruno Martins Boto; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3005775363936476; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9358403978156323This article aims to reflect on literature and visual culture based on the structuring principle of the artist/writer's practice, present from Antiquity to the 18th century, called ut pictura poesis, using for this purpose the discourse of the preacher Antônio de Sá, resorting to his sermon of Our Lady of the Conception, preached in the Igreja Matriz de Recife (1658), to extract the narrated images and create a debate on the intersections with visual representations through the similar themes in both arts. With this objective, the methods used were the structural and literary analysis of the orator's sermon, in which the base sermon for the article was found, as well as bibliographical research, which collaborated in encompassing the themes of the Society of Jesus, sermonistic literature, the 17th century Baroque and theories of analysis of works of art. Therefore, it is proposed, through the extraction of its themes and narrated images, to contextualize it through the worldview of the period and visual representations that dialogue with the images uttered, with the intention of conceiving the meaning given to such representations. This connection helps to lead the pictorial and sculptural styles to be seen as styles that equally come from the intellect and ideas.Item Entre insígnias e brasões: a construção do Movimento Armorial sob a ótica do Diário de Pernambuco (1970-1974)(2024-10-04) Soares Júnior, José Benedito; Silva, Lucas Victor; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0058476610695399; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2171560150857240This research aims to analyze the dissemination of the Armorial Movement in the publications of the newspaper Diário de Pernambuco (DP), in the city of Recife, from 1970 to 1974. Using the newspaper as the source and object, the goal is to identify how the DP disseminated and represented the Movement Armorial in its editions and also address the role of the subjects involved in disseminating the Armorial Movement, their social positions and the state support given to this cultural manifestation. The data for this research was collected in the Hemeroteca Digital, on the National Library website, using the word ‘armorial’ as a filter. Data analysis showed that the discourses produced by the DP are similar to the state discourse in the cultural scope. This discourse aspires to portray the Armorial Movement, especially the Orquestra Armorial de Câmara do Recife as a manifestation that represents the roots of Brazilian culture.Item A evolução da Polícia Militar em Pernambuco: uma análise da modificação da conduta policial com a adoção do modelo democrático pós-1988(2024-10-03) Borges, Gilberto Ricardo da Costa Silva; Silva, Wellington Barbosa da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1213688229016782; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5914482782541589The Military Police of the State of Pernambuco (PMPE) emerged in the context of the unrest in the province of Pernambuco, marked by the Confederation of the Equator in 1824. This event was crucial for the establishment of a police force aimed at maintaining order and protecting the interests of Emperor D. Pedro I. Over time, the police institution has reinvented and adapted to the social and moral values of each era, operating in various ways from its inception to the present day. Until the end of the Military Dictatorship (1964-1985), police actions were often associated with a show of force, frequently related to the repression of the populace. With the return to democracy and the adoption of the democratic rule of law, police services and the military institution itself had to reformulate to meet the demands and proposals of the Citizen Constitution of 1988, which remains in effect today. Since then, the PMPE has strived to promote internal changes and improve its external performance in the defense and assurance of human dignity. However, there is still a long way to go, and this article is dedicated to exploring the history of the PMPE and analyzing the mechanisms used by the institution to ensure and adhere to the legal principles related to Human Rights.Item Extinção do Aldeamento de Cimbres: reelaboração espacial e transformações das identidades indígenas na Serra do Ororubá (Pesqueira/PE), 1850-1879(2024) Nascimento, Alice Victória do Monte; Dantas, Mariana Albuquerque; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8568216121012333; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9502249666929102In this text, we seek to present the interventions of indigenous policies in the 19th century, focusing on the Aldeamento de Cimbres, analyzing how local changes, continuously restructuring that environment, built complex relationships and caused essential changes in indigenous identities. With this purpose, based on a bibliographic review and analysis of official documents, using the concepts of territorialização and resocialization, we focus on the specificities of the process for the extinction of the Aldeamento de Cimbres in Serra do Ororubá in Pesqueira/PE. Finally, we make a brief assessment of how indigenous people remained after the extinction of the Aldeamento.Item As abordagens historiográficas recentes sobre o jesuíta Jorge Benci e os novos horizontes de pesquisa(2024-12-03) Maia, Sheyla Mafra Holanda; Leite, Bruno Martins Boto; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3005775363936476; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8345867252412083Historiographical studies on Jorge Benci are far from being abundant compared to those of Jesuits who were his contemporaries, such as Antônio Vieira. The scarcity of works is perhaps justified by the fact that they are, almost always, limited to the analysis of Benciano's work Christian Economy of Masters in the Government of Slaves (1705), limiting the debates about the Italic Jesuit and his productions only to the theme of African slavery. The objective of this study, therefore, is to analyze the historiography produced about Jorge Benci, since the 1980s, in order to point out new questions and paths of analysis for future research on the Jesuit priest.Item A canção popular como recurso didático no ensino de História: um estudo sobre concepções e práticas docentes(2019-12-13) Andrade, Lukas Alisson Gouveia de; Silva, Lucas Victor; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0058476610695399; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4795559345410177This article aims to investigate teaching conceptions about the use of popular song in History Teaching. To this end, we conducted interviews with history teachers working in basic education. Our sample considered Master students and graduates of the Professional Master in History Teaching of the Federal University of Pernambuco. The results were analyzed using a qualitative and quantitative approach and content analysis from the categories: teaching conceptions, planning, classroom procedures and assessment.
