Item Um estudo de caso para previsão de partidas de futebol utilizando o ChatGPT(2024-10-01) Silva, Thiago Luiz Barbosa da; Nascimento, Leandro Marques do; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9163931285515006The present study aims to develop and test a tool for predicting football match outcomes using the ChatGPT language model. The research explores the potential of this technology to process match data and generate predictions, comparing its performance with the probabilities offered by betting houses. The method includes data collection through web scraping from sources such as Placar de Futebol and FBref, which allowed the creation of a rich database with detailed information about teams, championships and statistics. From this database, the tool was developed within the Arena Sport Club project, which includes features for visualizing results and football-related information. Different prompt-generation strategies were implemented in the tool to determine the best way to instruct the model to provide accurate predictions. The results showed that the model has the potential to make effective football match predictions, approaching the accuracy rates of betting houses. However, the study identified challenges such as high financial costs and the need for continuous adjustments to address the complexity of the matches and the variables involved. The conclusion suggests that while ChatGPT offers a promising tool for sports predictions, its use in real-world contexts needs to be optimized. Future research can enhance the application of this technology, reducing costs and improving accuracy over time.Item A propaganda da ditadura: o futebol como propulsor do milagre econômico(2024-03-01) Cunha, João Victor Cruz; Silva, Marcília Gama da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0090863442089957The path experienced by the Civil-military Dictatorship (1964-1985) in Brazil have a lot of nuances and issues debated in historiography. Within this theme, the military government, which lasted 21 years, experienced several protests and propaganda, favorable and unfavorable moments. We take football as a central aspect of the analysis of the military government between the years of 1968 and 1972, it is possible to perceive the sport as a fundamental element in understanding the propaganda and the ideological discourse constructed by the military around the political project, in this way the work of the Special Public Relations Advisory (SPRA), a government propaganda body, together with National Agency and de president, found in sport a possibility of spreading a good image and nationalist discourse favorable for the dictatorship.Item Rivais em campo, irmãs na luta: os desafios e conquistas dos movimentos de mulheres no futebol pernambucano(2023-08-14) Sarinho, Bárbara Santos; Spenillo, Giuseppa Maria Daniel; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4350911353530987; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1272819846123550The paper presents an investigation into women's movements in Pernambuco football and their fight for gender equality in football, based on the identification of three movements in Recife: Movimento Coralinas (Santa Cruz), Elas e o Sport (Sport) and Timbuzeiras (Náutico). Through participant observation, application of a form via Google Forms and the appliance of three semi-structured interviews, between the months of November 2022 and June 2023, the work suggests that such movements are established in a hybrid space between digital social networks and the football stands, configuring communities of affection (Maffesoli, 1998; Weber, 1987; Elias, 1980) and instant communities of transformative practice (Castells, 2017). The relationships between women's movements in football and other organizations demonstrate a network action in order to face challenges to achieve their goals.Item A relação de variáveis socioeconômicas com a demanda por futebol: o caso do Campeonato Brasileiro de 2022(2023-09-05) Santana, José Kawan dos Santos; Coelho Júnior, Álvaro Furtado; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1248468009730949; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5758713399863525This study aims to analyze the relationship of socioeconomic variables and sports performance in the paying public of the 2022 Brazilian Championship, that is, the relationship of these variables with the demand for championship matches. The Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) method was used to estimate the relationships between the dependent variable, the paying public, and the explanatory variations, which were selected according to the literature on demand for sports and, more specifically, from previous work on Brazilian football. The results of the chosen model, by selection criteria based on the literature, indicate a negative relationship between the demand for soccer with income, with games played in the middle of the week and with a bad performance of the home team. On the other hand, it is directly proportional to the population of the host city, the capacity of the stadium and in games in which the visiting club is based in Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo.Item O perfil de gestão de diretores dos clubes de futebol da série A1 do Campeonato Pernambucano de 2022(2022-10-07) Leandro, Marcus Oliveira Martins; Costa, Marcos André Nunes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2739394540779281; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1787961233939804This research sought to investigate the academic training of directors of Pernambuco football clubs who competed in the A1 series of the Pernambuco football championship of the year 2022, in order to highlight the flaws that exist in these formations. The study intends to present corporate governance practices within the club, centered on the areas of economic-administrative management, human resources management, maintenance and marketing and promotion. The study was characterized as an exploratory descriptive research, considering that it is a topic that has been little researched so far within these clubs, involving the areas addressed. In addition, it comprises an applied investigation that used a qualitative approach to the data (DELGADO; MARÍN; SANCHEZ, 2011). Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire sent to the clubs, and applied so that football directors could answer questions about their personal profile and academic background, encompassing questions about four areas of sports management: economic-administrative management, human resources, maintenance and marketing and promotion. The instrument, adapted from Beaton, et al. (2000), has six questions about each area and were answered on a scale of 1 to 5, where 1 means “Much less often than necessary” and 5 “Much more often than necessary.Item O uso de Auto ML nas apostas esportivas(2022-06-02) Oliveira, José Matheus Souza de; Monteiro, Cleviton Vinicius Fonsêca; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9362573782715504The sports betting market has been growing effectively, and of the 40 teams that compete in the A and B series of the Brazilian Championship, 35 are sponsored by bookmakers. Observing the number of gamblers that are profitable, it was found that there is a great need for solutions that help these people to become profitable. In order to achieve this goal in the long term, the first step of this project is to evaluate the use of Auto Machine Learning (AutoML) solutions in two betting scenarios: both teams score, and the match has more or less than 2 goals. For this work, data from the 2017 Serie A Brazilian Football Championship were used. The championship has 38 rounds in total and 10 matches in each round, totaling 380 matches. To calculate the profit scenarios, two forms of evaluation were established: without restriction and with probability restriction. Comparing the results obtained in these two scenarios, scenario 2 in all results presented a profit, unlike what was achieved in scenario 1, in addition, we have the assertiveness rate that was much more positive in scenario 2, reaching a value of 73.68% while the maximum rate obtained in scenario 1 was 63.88%.Item Uso de business intelligence como ferramenta de apoio em previsões de apostas de jogos de futebol(2021-12-16) Domingues, Marcela Soares; Albuquerque Júnior, Gabriel Alves de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1399502815770584; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6238090449898774The number of Brazilians that currently make investments on online sports betting, mainly related to football teams, are huge. This practice is allowed in Brazil since 2018, according to the law 3.756/18. With this permission granted, added to the Brazilian passion for football games, this is an investment area that has been growing fast since then, reaching high levels of financial movements, making people to call on this practice as guaranty of extra or main source of incomes. To make an investment in an specific bet, the ideal is that you have some idea of the risks you are taking. Betting involves losses and sometimes the investments are worthless. To know that, is necessary to take into account some variables as historical data from football teams and players. The use of Business Intelligence, that is already used for some teams to study the behaviour of others, is also of great value when it comes to analyze which bets are worth to make an invesment. Through BI concepts, this paper presents the development of a dashboard containing graphs and reports with the intention to help on the bet analysis. En vista de esta premisa, se investiga la novela Desporto-Rei (1955), en búsqueda de desvelar cómo su autor, el escritor Romeu Correia, abordó una cuestión clave de su mundo: el abandono de la practica -dicha sana -del fútbol como deporte aficionado, en benefíciode se convertir en un instrumento de crescimiento financero; y en que nivel intereses políticos comandados por António Oliveira Salazar, que ha governado Portugal entre 1932 y 1968, influenciarón en el desarrollo del deporte. Recuriendose a estudios de António Candido (2005) sobre la relación de la literatura con la sociedad y sobre el personaje en la ficción; de la estruturas de la narrativa por la narratologista Mieke Bal (1998); bien como sobre la situación histórica de Portugal y, especificamente, del fútbol y su relación con los extranjeros -de Neil Lochery (2012) y Ricardo Serrado (2009) -, es analisada la narrativa en su inserción histórica.
