    Atresia anal associada à fístula retovaginal em felino - Relato de caso

    This report presents the activities carried out during the Mandatory Supervised Internship (ESO), carried out in the Small Animal Medical Clinic area, at the Veterinary Clinic, located in Recife, from June 27 to September 16, 2022, totaling load total hours of 472 hours. The objective was to train the student in the areas of veterinary medicine through the theoretical-practical association of the knowledge obtained during training as a practice. Thus, the report aims to demonstrate the main activities developed in this period under the guidance of Professor Dr. Lílian Sabrina Silvestre de Andrade and Supervision of Veterinary Doctor Luana Mirela de Sales Pontes. This work was firstly divided in case of adjustment into two chapters defined during the period, while no chapter was defined as reporting a report related to feline fistula. Such experience brings knowledge to the most intimate contact with the exercise of the profession, in addition to the acquisition of knowledge.

    Relato caso: anestesia neonatal em felino com atresia anal

    The mandatory supervised internship demonstrates to be a fundamental moment in a student's life. In this sense, the full performance of the professional is experienced in order to prepare the newcomer for the job market. The present work describes the activities carried out during the Mandatory Supervised Internship - ESO, anesthesiology sector carried out at the Veterinary Hospital of UFRPE (HOVET) and at the Chatterie Veterinary Clinic, under the supervision of veterinarians Rômulo Nunes and Thaygo Marçal, respectively. The total workload was 420 hours, divided into 210 hours for each location, from February 14 to May 5, 2022. A case report was made on neonatal anesthesia in a patient with anal atresia, an uncommon pathology in dogs and cats whose anesthesia has implications related to the unique physiology and the particular needs of neonates. A quick and effective intervention taking into account all the peculiarities, is essential, since this pathology is incompatible with life and the anesthetic procedure is essential for the surgical treatment.
