The objective of this work was to report the experiences of laboratory activities and assist in the execution of diagnostic procedures designated by the commercial veterinary laboratory Labpet during the period from August 12 to November 14, 2019. Through this document a literature review was prepared about Hepatozoon canis and the occurrence of infection in dogs in rural areas through bibliographic survey. Deepening and discussing various aspects such as: agent; cycle, parathenic host, cystic forms, transmission and infection. Becoming notorious the need to investigate more and more about this agent.Item Relatório do Estágio Supervisionado Obrigatório (ESO), realizado no Laboratório de Patologia Clínica da Clínica Veterinária Pet’s House e no Laboratório Veterinário Comercial Labpet, localizados no município de Recife, Pernambuco(2018-12-11) Silva, Raíssa Nunes da; Oliveira, Andrea Alice da Fonseca; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2519790342576901; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7155016914810565The Mandatory Supervised Internship consists of a course taken in the eleventh semester of the Bachelor in Veterinary Medicine course, with a total workload of 420 hours, which allows the student to develop practical skills in the area of choice. The objective of this work was to report the experiences during the mandatory supervised internship fulfilled in two different locations: the clinical pathology laboratory of Pet's House Veterinary Clinic and the commercial veterinary laboratory LabPet, during the period from September 18 to December 4, 2018. Routine laboratory activities such as sample processing, analysis of hematological and parasitological exams, processing and analysis of biochemical, serological, and urinalysis tests, as well as the preparation of reports related to the aforementioned activities were accomplished.
