Avulsion Fracture of the Tibial Tuberosity (FATT) is a relatively common condition in dogs, especially affecting young animals and large or giant breeds. It is characterized when a fragment of the tibial tuberosity detaches from the tibia, where the patellar ligament is inserted, due to the force exerted by the tendon as a result of a sudden or traumatic movement. Aseptic Necrosis of the Femoral Head (NACF) also affects young dogs, between 3 and 13 months old, mainly small breeds, such as Toys and Terriers, being defined as a debilitating condition characterized by aseptic, non-inflammatory, avascular and idiopathic condition of the femoral head, due to ischemia that can be triggered by several factors, including traumatic and hereditary. The present work aims to describe the post-surgical physiotherapeutic treatment of a dog, of the Jack Russell Terrier breed, with pain and lameness in the right pelvic limb due to FATT, which aggravated the predisposing NACF, which underwent osteosynthesis surgery and colocephalectomy later. The fracture correction was carried out on January 29, 2024 and physiotherapy began on March 5, 2024, due to complaints about the lack of weight bearing on the affected limb. At the beginning of the physiotherapeutic protocol, persistence of pain and lameness was noted, with NACF being diagnosed on March 22, 2024 and colocephalectomy performed on April 1, 2024, with a subsequent return to rehabilitation on April 9, 2024. The case was followed from the first session after colocephalectomy surgery, during the Mandatory Supervised Internship (ESO), at the Marlene Reis Rehabilitation Center, in Recife-PE.

The Multiprofessional Residency Programs and in the Health Professional Area are a teaching modality, aimed at the health professions, which seek to integrate teaching-service-community, configuring an extremely important stage in the career of health professionals, allowing a better training through in-service training, thus delivering a more qualified professional to the labor market. The activities directed to the Medical, Surgical and Reproductive Clinic Area allowed the carrying out of services directed to the equine, swine, bovine, caprine, ovine and buffalo species, contributing to the development and improvement of skills inherent to e veterinarian profession. The present work aims to describe the activities carried out at PRAPSMV, during the period from March 2021 to January 2023 and to present the case report - Coxofemoral injury resulting from trauma in two cows. The total number of consultations performed in the period between March 2021 and January 2023, indicating a sum of 373 clinical, surgical and reproductive consultations among all species of large animals, of which 194 were ruminants, 170 horses and 9 pigs. With varying levels of complexity and affecting the various organic systems, a vast and qualified training was possible, important for the professionalization of the resident. In the context of the SUS, the work carried out allowed several learnings related to Public Health, making it possible to observe the main demands of the population, the activities developed by the Environmental, Epidemiological and Sanitary Surveillance and, mainly, the importance of the role of the veterinarian as a health professional in NASF. It is concluded that the residency was of paramount importance for professional improvement, obtaining the necessary qualification and confidence to offer the labor market a specialized service, aiming at the prevention, treatment and well-being of animals and the general population.

The Multiprofessional and in the Professional Health Area Residency Programs are a teaching modality aimed at health professions, which seeks to integrate teaching-service-community, configuring an extremely important stage in the career of health professionals, allowing better capacity building through in-service training, thus delivering a more qualified professional to the job market. The Residency Program in Professional Health Area in Veterinary Medicine (PRAPSMV) was implemented in the Department of Veterinary Medicine (DMV) of the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE), Campus Recife, in 2014. Eighteen vacancies are offered annually, through public tender, being distributed among eleven areas of concentration. The minimum workload required is 5,760 hours, which are divided into practical activities, theoretical and theoretical-practical activities and activities aimed at the Unified Health System (SUS). The activities aimed at the Medical, Surgical and Reproductive Clinic area allowed for the performance of services aimed at equine, bovine, goat, sheep and buffalo species, contributing to the development and improvement of skills inherent to the veterinary profession. Within the scope of the SUS, activities were developed in the Health Surveillance of the municipality of Camaragibe - PE, which aimed to meet the main demands of the community related to One Health, as well as in the Environmental Surveillance and Zoonosis Control Unit (UVACZ), where activities were carried out with the horses collected from the streets after a complaint, in addition to participation in the Anti-rabies Vaccination Campaign, where inspection and monitoring of vaccine storage and guidance for vaccinators were carried out.. This study aims to describe the activities performed in the PRAPSMV, during the period from March 2020 to February 2022 and to present a case report of osteosynthesis with plate and screws in femur fracture in a filly.
