Abordagem comparativa entre a aplicação da metodologia KATAM e inventário tradicional em plantios de Khaya senegalensis (Desr.) A. Juss
(2023-09-15) Silva, Kamilo Alaboodi da; Silva, Emanuel Araújo; Hakamada, Rodrigo Eiji; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4186459700983170; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2765651276275384; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5612600854790108
The forest inventory helps forest managers taking decisions. Installing, measuring and managing a network of inventory plots is a costly and time-consuming activity. The remote sensing techniques are increasingly gaining ground in the forestry sector because they have the potential to reduce costs without incurring any loss of precision, but they are not widely used due to their high cost. In this context, the Swedish company Katam Technologies has developed a solution for acquiring and analyzing forest data: KATAM Forest, which works using the KASLAM algorithm, which has not yet been widely used and tested in national forests. The goal of this study was to compare, in terms of accuracy and operational performance, the application of KASLAM artificial intelligence through the KATAM Forest application in forest inventory activities in Khaya senegalensis (Desr.) A. Juss plantations (5 years old), located in the state of Pernambuco, with the sampling techniques of a traditional forest inventory. Diameter at breast height (DBH) data was collected within 9 plots, as well as videos with artificial intelligence, recorded within the coordinates of the sampling units. Descriptive statistics were performed on the DBH data by plot, followed by the parametric Shapiro-Wilk normality test, where, if the null hypothesis was rejected, a non-parametric Mann-Whitney U test was required to understand the difference in averages. Operational performance was assessed using the time data obtained during the inventory process within the plots in both approaches. The DBH variable in the two inventory methodologies does not have a clear distribution concentrated close to the mean. The non-parametric test resulted in the averages obtained for DBH not showing statistical differences between the methodologies at the 5% significance level. The operational performance of the Katam methodology was half of the traditional inventory. The Katam technologies are very promising in terms of reducing time and costs in forest inventory operations. Therefore, further studies are recommended so that the subject can be disseminated in a practical way.

In recent decades, even with several government attempts to reduce violence against women, the statistics continue to grow. What is considered a serious violation of human rights is still a reality for many women around the world. In geographically isolated or inaccessible regions, women in addition to becoming more vulnerable to violence, become invisible in the face of statistics and public policies to combat violence against women. Using exploratory research to deepening what has been done to reduce violence against women, understand the concept of social innovation, mobile development and the creation of a minimum viable product, the Lamparina application aims to help rural women in the Pajeú hinterland in a situation of violence.

Inovação e tecnologia na indústria de beneficiamento de Denin do Agreste de Pernambuco: reuso de água para vantagem competitiva em lavanderias de jeans
(2020-10-05) Silva, Bruno Lopes; Xavier, Maria Gilca Pinto; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6470044940848558; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7974481422537087
The present work aims to analyze the technological innovation of water reuse used in the processing activities of industrial Denin laundries in Toritama, located in the dry region of Pernambuco. To this end, it sought to characterize the form of water reuse in laundries and the advantages in companies were compared through the reduction of production costs. The methodology used was the understanding of quantitative and qualitative aspects. In this context, a sampling of jeans laundries was carried out, whose characteristic is based on the reuse of water. It was observed that the industrial laundries for processing clothes in Denin use water in high quantity as the main raw material. The implementation of water treatment and reuse activities emerged as a requirement of the Public Ministry. As a consequence, the introduction of this innovation had an impact on the reduction of production costs and, consequently, brought a competitive advantage, while benefiting the environment.

Fintech: panorama do setor bancário brasileiro
(2021-07-23) Vidal, Luiz Felipe de Araújo; Gomes, Sónia Maria Fonseca Pereira Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9795791528582607; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7756851180127961
This monograph intends to present the panorama of Fintechs in the Brazilian banking sector, known as the Fintech Revolution. That is, it plans to assemble a panorama of fintechs in the Brazilian banking system, and to do so, it is necessary to present the benefits of the new resolution supporting the operation of financial startups, RCMN 4,656 of 2018 and show how this regulation affects the possible paths of digital credit and/or financing banks. In addition, it is also intended to explore the case of Banco Intermedium in its pioneering role among startups on the stock exchange and what this may represent in terms of future prospects for the sector in question, since it was a physical bank in 100% of its operations that now operates digitally in 100% of them. The methodology adopted in this monograph unfolds between the survey of bibliographic material and the analysis of secondary data in order to, more specifically, survey and describe the process of emergence of the currency, its contextualization, theoretical basis and importance to society and, thus, obtain an overview of traditional banks, aiming to draw a perspective on their problems that somehow led to the emergence and growth of financial Fintechs based on the digital medium.

FINTECHS: um novo paradigma para os serviços financeiros
(2019) Araujo, Adams Matos de; Coelho Júnior, Álvaro Furtado; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1248468009730949
Banking services have undergone profound transformations, driven by the digital inclusion of the population and by innovation in the financial market. Faced with this scenario came the Fintechs, startups that act exclusively offering financial products and services. Fintechs use digital technologies and associated tools to provide financial services to consumers and businesses. Its solutions deliver three key results: ease of use, faster service delivery, and more affordable cost. Analyzing these variations in banking services is fundamental to understanding the new market dynamics. It should be noted the recent regulation by the Brazilian authorities regarding the performance of Fintechs in Brazil and what criteria should be obeyed for action in the financial market. What we can observe with this work was the great expansion of Internet access togetherwith the growth of the digital banking market with the emergence of Fintechs.
