The main objective of this study is to understand the current model of cultural industry that influences young and adult consumers to consume certain products derived from Marvel cinematic productions (2008 - 2019), taking into consideration how this model impacts the consumption of licensable digital games as a multimedia model. By understanding what drives consumers to seek out certain games using transmedia narrative and Henry Jenkins' concept of convergence culture as theoretical and methodological frameworks, the study utilized bibliographic reviews of topics intersecting with the work. The initial basis was the concept of cultural industry, developed by Adorno and Horkheimer in 1944, referring to the idea of mass production, common in factories and industries, which has been adapted to artistic production. Initially, it will be demonstrated through websites regarding the sale and consumption of relevant games correlated with the release time of films concurrently, such as IGN, KOTAKU, and ADRENALINE, as well as the official Marvel Studios forum on REDDIT. Academic content sites were also utilized, including SciELO, CAPES, Scopus, and Google Scholar. The study resulted in demonstrating the importance and influence of media channels and cultural industry on the consumption model of X and Y generations.

(2023-09-22) Brito, Raul Júlio Ribeiro de; Leão, Éder Lira de Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4434499456331867; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9542706552979460
Cinema is one of the most popular forms of entertainment today, and it continues to grow. Since its popularization at the beginning of the 20th century, cinema has proved to be a cultural activity of great commercial value. Since its popularization in the early 20th century, cinema has proved to be a cultural activity of great commercial value, due, among other factors, to its easy reproduction, a convenience that has only increased with the digital age. But due to processes that began in Brazil in the 1960s, there was a concentration of cinemas in shopping malls, which can bring a certain convenience by combining spaces for socializing, leisure and consumption, but it also imposes limitations and acts as a segregating agent. This study aims to understand what leads consumers in Recife to choose which movie theater to go to, using questionnaires applied online via google forms and interviews applied in person at movie theaters in Recife, as a way of collecting data, and carrying out a bibliographic survey based on online repositories and personal collections.

(Trans) Formação no cinema: imagens do universo transexual segundo o público e os realizadores do 6º Recifest
(2021-07-22) Araujo, Janderlan Alexandre de; Sousa, João Morais de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9057718684364301; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6796170010488852
The main objective of this work was to discuss which images the audience and the directors of the 6th Recifest interviewed made of the transsexual universe shown in the movies and how they discussed about the importance of festivals and audiovisual shows for the strengthening of cultural diversity and the deconstruction of prejudices regarding the trans population. The relevance of the study is in contributing to the awakening of a critical sense in confronting discrimination and stereotypes towards minorities, specifically the trans public. The research was qualitative in nature, exploratory, descriptive, and had seven subjects interviewed. For the development of the research, an approach was made about the transsexual universe, pointing out the challenges for speaking spaces and visibility in the cinema. Then a quick description was made, presenting the city of Recife as a space of different cinemas and festivals, such as Recifest. Then came the results: first, a detailed account of trans visibility in a dialogue circle. Second, the perception of the public and directors of the 6th Recifest about the images of the trans universe shown in the movies was shown. Thus, the perception described was that of a prejudiced and distorted vision concerning the characters and the trans universe portrayed in the movies and on TV. However, they pointed out that this reality has been changing as from the context of struggles for respect and for rights, following the example of movements such as the LGBTQIAP+. According to the people interviewed, positive results are appearing and recent productions about the trans universe are being more careful. As overcoming this context, they affirmed the need for struggle, resistance, training, study, experience, and respect for freedoms and democracy. Also the need to fight for citizenship and social inclusion, making the coexistence with the transsexual population part of the everyday life of people in a plural and respectful way.
