The Compulsory Supervised Internship of the Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Medicine at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE) is a mandatory discipline with a 420- hour workload that configures training and professional qualification activity to the student, complementing the theoretical and practical teaching. acquired at graduation. This work aims to describe the experience at ESO, carried out from June to August 2020 at the Hospital Veterinário Harmonia unit Casa Forte (Recife-PE) and to report a case of ultrasound-guided lumbar muscle block (QL-block) using the cross-sectional approach (LQL-T) to provide visceral analgesia in a feline undergoing cystotomy surgery, using 0.25% bupivacaine. No nociceptive signs were seen in the surgical procedure and postoperative pain was assessed by the multidimensional scale of UNESP-Botucatu for the assessment of acute postoperative pain in cats, and it can be concluded that the QL-block is also viable in the feline species, providing good visceral abdominal analgesia.
