This undergraduate thesis aims to analyze the denationalization of Brazilian telephony, based on the neoliberal political project, denominated for us for this search. This is a fully operational project. From a theoretical point of view, it began in the 40s of the last century and as a political project, it can be associated with the Thatcher and Reagan governments in the 1970s. But it was from the 1980s onwards and especially throughout the 1990s that it is possible to speak of neoliberal globalization. In Brazil, it began in the late 1990s: first as a response to the crisis of the authoritarian developmentalist project of the military period; second, as an update of dependency and the conditions of subordination to which the country finds itself linked through relations between center and periphery. The denationalization of the telephone sector is presented as a case in a broad process, which will be treated here from the perspective of accumulation through spoliation. Furthermore, the work deepens the analysis seeking to elucidate the relationships between the current neoliberal project and its implications for national sovereignty. Therefore, the methodology used was through a bibliographic study through research in books, academic articles, dissertations and theses.
