Bearing this new notion in mind, this work focus the discussion in the social movement called “Movimento em Defesa da Mata do Engenho Uchôa”, studying its role as a changing agent in a given local reality. This movement follows the tradition of social movements in Recife throughout the History of Brazil, being able to place itself as a representative of the desires of several communities neighboring the Engenho Uchôa woodland. However, the movement fits in the dimension regarding the socalled “New Social Movements”, because it is notorious for the defense of the environment, which ascended from a local demand, but is present in a global agenda of collective efforts.Item Ações de controle e fiscalização ambiental no município de Igarassu/PE(2022) Silva, Geisa Freitas do Monte; Beltrame, Leocádia Terezinha Cordeiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1127762636779912; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9574858428043207Item Relatório de estágio não obrigatório realizado na empresa Asa Indústria e Comércio(2021) Gomes, Evellyn da Silva; Guiselini, Cristiane; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4309083918019766; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7571064720114739Item Desenvolvimento do sistema gestão integrado da Compesa(2020) Santos, Myckaella Joice Simone dos; Silva, Vicente de Paulo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3590522665927472; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8605437664422681Item Estágio Supervisionado Obrigatório: estimativa de produção agrícola nos engenhos e atividades socioeducativas no município de Rio Formoso - PE(2021-05-14) Avelino, Karina Kelly de Albuquerque; Oliveira, Robson Jerônimo Lins de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4055829214005353; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9227023905145414Item Diagnóstico sócio-ambiental e elaboração de cartilha ambiental técnica em escola pública de ensino médio em Camaragibe - PE(2021-01-05) Melo, João Gabriel de Freitas; Santos, Alessandro Herbert de Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4144662357044277; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9014815379063183Item Valoração ambiental do parque urbano Santos Dumont - Recife/PE(2019) Lima, Wanessa Kely Mendes de; Oliveira, Isabel Cristina Pereira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4745142041015422; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7997896216838904Urbanization and agglomeration in cities have led people to seek natural spaces for recreation and leisure, which can be explained by the need for human in-teraction with the environment. On the other hand, the indiscriminate use of the natural area can cause damage to the ecosystem. The objective of this paper is to verify the environmental perception of users, in the sense of the importance of preservation and conservation that increase the level of well-being for the current and future genera-tions, Parque Santos Dumont (PSD), which is one of the green areas. Located in the metropolitan region of Recife-PEand that has many leisure and recreation activities. Thus, it intends to profile users and analyze their behaviors and attitudes regarding the use of the Park and estimate the Willingness to Pay (WTP) for its maintenance and conservation. Thus, this work makes use of the Environmental Contingent Valuation Method, from the application of questionnaires. The willingness to pay for natural re-sources can be seen as an important indicator for valuing the environment. This anal-ysis aims to identify the socioeconomic and behavioral variables that will be converted to average WTP by users. In this study, willingness to pay was calculated by the amount to be paid by users multiplied by the percentages of users who said they were willing to pay that amount. The estimate of the WTP and the results of this research may serve as a basis for further study of the Park, aiming at the socioeconomic and sustainable development at the site.
