The internship was initially carried out at the Pernambuco Equine Center, located in the city of Gravatá - PE, and later at the Clinical Pathology Laboratory of the Bixo's Veterinary Clinic, in the city of Jaboatão dos Guararapes - PE, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Gustavo Ferrer Carneiro, during the period from November 1, 2024 to January 21, 2025.During the internship, carried out at the Pernambuco Equine Center, it was possible to actively participate in the laboratory routine, monitoring and assisting in the performance of tests for the diagnosis of Equine Infectious Anemia and Equine Glanders. In addition, at the Clinical Pathology Laboratory, I had the opportunity to participate in several laboratory analyses, including hematological and biochemical tests, urinalysis, parasitological fecal examinations, immunochromatographic tests and dermatological cytology. In addition, I collaborated in the preparation of the respective reports at the end of the analyses, contributing to the interpretation of the results. This report also includes the presentation of an article that addresses platelet activation of platelet-rich plasma obtained and subjected to cryopreservation and lyophilization. The study was carried out at the Andrology Laboratory (ANDROLAB) of the Department of Veterinary Medicine at UFRPE, and was partially developed in collaboration with the Clinical Pathology Laboratory of Clínica Bixo’s.
