Item Luxação medial de patela em cadela da raça Poodle - relato de caso(2019-01-11) Nascimento, Rummeniggue José de Oliveira; Tenório, Ana Paula Monteiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1785548386077618For the completion of the Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine course at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE) it is necessary to perform the Mandatory Supervised Internship (ESO), which has a workload of 420 hours. This ESO was carried out at the Veterinary Hospital of UFRPE in Recife / PE and at the Pet Shop Veterinary Clinic Dog Fashion in Carpina / PE, from September to December 2018. The objective was to report on the activities carried out at ESO and the daily routine of sectors, as well as to report a case experienced during the internship period. The case of a 3-year-old Poodle dog attended at the Veterinary Hospital of UFRPE presented a symptomatic picture of lameness and pain when erecting the posterior limb, which was subsequently diagnosed with grade II medial patellar dislocation . Surgical treatment was indicated to deepen the trochlear sulcus and in association with deepening, the imbrication of the joint capsule was also performed. The two techniques were performed in association with the purpose of obtaining a better surgical result. The result was satisfactory, since 15 days after the surgery the patient no longer presented claudication, nor presented dislocation during the physical evaluation, and after 72 days she continued without claudication and without claudication, normally performing her normal physical activities. We conclude that the development of adequate techniques, combined with efficient clinical follow-up, will always be of paramount importance for the healing and well-being of the patient. besides concluding that the accomplishment of the ESO is fundamental for the insertion of undergraduate students in the veterinary routine, always arousing the interest for the professional performance with ethics and acuity.
