It is based on practical experience of 420 hours, in a specific area of veterinary medicine, whose focus is to make the student able to perform their role, connecting theoretical and practical knowledge. In this sense, the aim of this report is to describe the main activities carried out during the internship period and to describe an internal care protocol for neonates and puppies of Bradypus variegatus at the Instituto Preguiça-de-Garganta-Rom (IPGM). ESO activities were carried out in two stages: one at Dois Irmãos State Park (PEDI - Recife/PE) and another at the Center for Medicine and Research in Wild Animals (CEMPAS - Botucatu/SP), during the period from March 25 to June 12, 2024, with working hours from 8am to 5pm (with a lunch break from 12pm to 1pm), totaling 420 hours required. The internship was carried out in the area of wild animal medicine, under the supervision of veterinarians Rhaysa Allayde Silva Oliveira (PEDI-PE) and Profa. Dr. Sheila Canevese Rahal (CEMPAS-SP) with guidance from Prof. Dr. Andrea Alice da Fonseca Oliveira. The first chapter of the work reports on the activities carried out during the internship during the aforementioned period, while the second covers a case report entitled “Description of internal care protocol for neonates and puppies of Bradypus variegatus at the Instituto Preguiça-de-Garganta-Rom ”, a theme chosen based on its importance and relationship with the aforementioned internship. In view of this, it is concluded that the practical activities developed during the internship period were extremely relevant for professional qualification.
