Civil construction companies have, for the most part, several management problems, especially those related to people management, when compared to other market segments. Such companies lack planning and monitoring processes, as a way of reversing the annual losses caused by such problems, which reach the figure of 1 trillion dollars. In view of the above, it was established as the objective of this research to evaluate the people management processes in a civil construction company, considering the influence of leadership on human capital and the results of this process for the climate and organizational culture. Therefore, this research, of a qualitative nature, used as data collection techniques for its execution the bibliographical review, the documental research and the participant observation. The results and analyzes raised suggest that people management in the company in question is incipient and that there is room for evolution in the development process of leaders and the role they aim to play on their employees. It is also concluded that the climate and culture of the organization suffer negative impacts on the leadership, considering that a volatile climate and an undefined organizational culture were found.

(2023-04-26) Farias, Micael Marques; Galvão, Simone Perruci; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1523292800241605; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1689810669790406
It is known that Brazilian civil construction industry can be slow when it comes to innovation and technology, getting singular characteristics since your firsts attempts and an old fashioned construction system that is unviable to the current times. Besides the necessity to new products and techniques to advance in this industry it also needs a large investment at planning and management in this field. Competition is increasing and the market is looking for innovation at all costs and with that, management platforms are playing an important role at big construction companies. Companies operating in the job market today are going through processes of updating their goals, seeing a building that permeates many values, where in addition to the final delivery of your product, there is a need to better analyze the work flows, the organization of the sites, the distribution of people, providing values not seen before. In order to reduce expenses and demands and improve production, the application of the Lean Construction production methodology appears and this is what will be addressed in this study, focusing on the application of its tools in a vertical building in the city of Recife. In this work, the practices adopted by the company and the future benefits of this use will be indicated. In the building in question, the application of this philosophy resulted in the reduction of inputs, higher quality of services, better monitoring of the team, reduction of waste and better productivity rates for the enterprise.

The needs of societies must be met by the evolution and innovation of new products to meet them adequately, taking into account the economic, social and environmental aspects, and should follow a continuous flow of development. In civil engineering, the search for new materials is fundamental. In this context, textile concrete arises, a material where steel rebar is replaced by a composite consisting of bidirectional continuous fibers, involved in a polymeric material, distributed in mesh shapes, of the following types: glass, carbon, and aramid. This material is an advance for the structuring of reinforced concrete, due to the total replacement of the steel reinforcement, thus not existing the probability of reinforcement corrosion - a major current problem - in addition to providing a reduction of the sessions of the concrete parts and the weight of the same, since there is no need for a cover layer. This paper is a literature review on the topic of textile concrete, where an analysis of scientific texts published as books, articles, theses, dissertations, between the years 2016-2022 was performed, aiming to characterize this new material. Although it is a new material and is under development, it has shown promise in the market, since, in addition to non-corrosive and non-magnetic components, it has shown satisfactory performance in relation to tensile strength, durability against the action of aggressive agents such as chloride ions, carbonation and resistance to high temperatures - for certain conditions of reinforcement - becoming a new alternative to problems currently faced in the reinforced concrete structure.

One of the main problems detected in the construction sector is the lack of communication, delays and lack of productivity. Obtaining positive results in your process implies, mainly, the use of an efficient management plan, making clear the search for the final quality of the product, and consequently the inclusion of new management practices, among them the agile methodology. This research seeks, from a bibliographic research, to understand the potential of the use of agile methodology in civil construction. Through hypotheses and discussions, the impacts generated in project management with the adoption of an agile methodology were analyzed. The conclusions that emerged, based on the results obtained, showed that the implementation generated great potential in development and significant contributions in the selected works regarding problem solving, production flow, as well as interpersonal relationships. In all the articles, the identification of positive impacts such as the reduction of expenses, greater agility in relation to the execution, as well as the facilitation of the interaction between those involved, became perceptible. As for the implementation phase of an agile methodology or its framework, although some authors claim that it should not be applied in all phases of the project, it can be concluded that the agile methodology can be implemented throughout its life cycle. of a construction project. Even if in the initial phases this implementation adds more value, agile approach can be easily applied in other stages, still generating positive impacts.

(2021-03-05) Carvalho, Alan de Oliveira; Véras, Juliana Claudino; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8199104094050794; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9428820693597800
The new industrial configurations in the most diverse fields of activity generate an extremely competitive environment, with difficult market scalability and increasing levels of demand from all parties involved in the execution of projects. Based on this statement, the search for new techniques to manage processes and projects gains particular relevance. The aim of the work presented here is to study the applicability of agile project management frameworks in the scope of civil construction by searching for possible increment factors agile project management in this specific branch of industry. Significant differences were identified between both industrial axes, especially in the management of the scope of the projects and in the preparation of their budgets. It was concluded that the applicability of agile management methodologies in civil engineering corporations, due to the very traits of this field of activity, is quite challenging. However, the set of values and approaches derived from such frameworks is highly recommended.

Classificação dos resíduos de construção e demolição (RCD) e potencialidades de reciclagem ou reutilização em obras de edificação na região de Ipojuca: Muro Alto
(2017-09-01) Nascimento, Lucas Costa do; Galvão, Simone Perruci; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1523292800241605; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7949189322240161
The environmental concern is recurrent in today's world, and the practices developed by both society and government aim to reduce the number of waste disposed indiscriminately in the environment are inevitable. Construction and demolition waste (RCD) discarded and exposed irregularly in the urban environment, generates the proliferation of vectors, among other negative aspects, being this over the years studied, assuming a possible material potential for reuse. With the objective of quantifying and characterizing the types of construction and demolition residues from buildings (vertical constructions) in the city of Ipojuca: Muro Alto, and later establishing a specific use for the reuse of these wastes, a field research was carried out , from questionnaires and the consultation of PGRCCs of medium and large companies, in the indicated districts. It was concluded that large construction companies that have certifications such as ISO 9001 and 14001, follow, in great part, waste management policies. Meanwhile, the medium-sized construction company analyzed, without strict control and planning, the RCD generated on site. Much of the waste generated by the companies is rubble or debris: remnants of mortars, concrete - demolition, remains of tiles, class A waste, which can be reused and recyclable.

(2017-08-08) Santana, Vitor Carneiro de; Galvão, Simone Perruci; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1523292800241605; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6721685438361084
Civil construction is one of the sectors with the largest participation in the Brazilian economy. However, the high dynamism of this activity leads to an increase in the generation of construction and demolition waste (RCD), promoting greater environmental impacts if managed improperly. For this reason, it becomes relevant to know the main measures adopted by civil construction companies and by the municipal bodies competent for the prevention and final destination of these wastes. This study presents an exposition of the main management policies of construction and demolition waste adopted by the public management of the city of Recife and in five works located in the municipality. In order to do this, we carried out on-site visits to buildings and to the Urban Maintenance and Cleaning Company (EMLURB), in order to obtain data pertinent to the research. The data were collected through interviews, using an electronic questionnaire associated to the virtual platform Google Forms as an instrument. The information acquired was verified according to the guidelines of CONAMA Resolution Nº 307/2002. Thus, it was verified the existence of municipal legislations on the adequate destination of RCD that assign responsibilities to the companies and the municipal organs of urban cleaning. Regarding waste management, it was verified that the type of disposal most adopted among the companies of this study was the collection and final disposal of private landfills, while one of the companies adopts the waste recycling service for reuse in the work.

The city of Recife, region with several natural landscapes and attractive for tourism, business and leisure, has been developing annually. In most of the neighborhoods, there are large buildings being erected, leading the academic community and the state to worry about the type of policy adopted for the disposal, reuse and recycling of solid waste generated in construction, in order to avoid the environmental impact. In the Northeast Region of Brazil alone, 24,310 t / day of construction and demolition waste (CDW) were collected. Good results have already been visualized by Brazilian researchers regarding the reuse of residues, especially those of class A, generated on site. This work has proposed to classify the different types of construction and demolition waste and to indicate different forms of reuse in construction works in the city of Recife. Five (5) works were evaluated, from four (4) companies, located in different districts of Recife. To obtain the desired data, an electronic questionnaire, google forms platform, was developed by the research group. The construction traditional system of reinforced concrete was the main visualized in the works analyzed, generating as main types of residues: ceramic bricks, mortars, plaster, concrete and wood. In this work, recycling practices were verified in one of the analyzed companies, where brick and tile residues were reprocessed and used as a small aggregate for making mortars and lean concrete. However, the vast
