Item “Mas que saudade da minha praça modesta [...] onde viver era bom”: os espaços públicos de lazer enquanto loci para o comum urbano(2024-10-04) Silva, Sinara Raquel Sabino Pereira da; Santos, Otávio Augusto Alves dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6806135209087830; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0022003508163309This monograph aims to highlight how the institution of the urban common relates to the appropriation of urban squares and parks as public spaces for leisure, having as guiding question: to what extent does the social appropriation of urban squares and parks as public leisure spaces enable the institution of the Common? In terms of methodology and methods, the research is considered fundamental regarding its nature, exploratory-descriptive concerning its objectives, and qualitative in relation to data tabulation and approach. It is based on a bibliographic research of the main theories of the Common, situating the theme of the urban Common within these frameworks, utilizing articles sourced at the Scielo platform and theses and dissertations from graduate programs with a qualis coefficient of 5 or higher. The research design involves a multiple case study, with the collection of twelve semi-structured interviews — six at Luiz Lopes Correia Square and six at the Bela Vista Park, both located in the city of Vitória de Santo Antão-PE. Urban commons are essential for the debate on the Common in a globalized context marked by power struggles and not only spatial fragmentation but also fragmentation of interpersonal relationships. Recreation, referring to playfulness and the process of creating experiences and new living, permeates various stages of life and denotes the possibilities for social change through the realization of either leisure or idleness. Squares and parks present the institution of network territories or discontinuous territories, which feature numerous spaces whose social appropriation comes from distinct groups with specific needs, often producing conflict situations among them. From the analysis of interviews and real-time observation, it is recognized that public squares and urban parks function as loci of routine social encounters, which help nourish leisure as a manifestation of culture, fostering urban dialogue and representing territories of human life, while requiring, in particular, the political and social organization necessary for the culture of the urban Common.Item Levantamento e classificação da toxicidade das plantas ornamentais presentes nos parques urbanos de Recife - Pernambuco(2023-05-02) Zelaquett, Danilo de Souza; Brasileiro, Hélida Maria de Lima Maranhão; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4735569144086617; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2587653841058709The presence of green areas in urban centers is essential for the well-being of the population, but many ornamental plants can be toxic. The toxic agents of plants are linked to their secondary metabolism such as oxalates, saponins, alkaloids, glycosides and terpenes. Although the number of cases of plant poisoning is small, children are the most expected. The objective of this study was to carry out a survey of toxic ornamental plants present in 07 urban parks in Recife, capital of Pernambuco, and classify them according to their degree of toxicity. For this, instruments were used to collect information and record images, taxonomic identification, classification of the degree of toxicity, description of the part of the plant related to poisoning and prevalent toxic metabolites. In the parks, 29 species of toxic ornamental plants were identified, belonging to 12 botanical families, of which species from the families Apocynaceae, Araceae and Euphorbiaceae totaled 52%. The species Mangifera indica, Sansevieria trifasciata, Plumeria rubra and Thaumatophyllum bipinnatifidum were the most common, while the plants with the highest degree of toxicity found in the parks were Duranta erecta, Lantana camara, Nerium oleander and Thevetia peruviana. In all the evaluated parks, toxic plants were found near the recreation and food areas, most of the time unidentified, and with free access to the population and animals. Thus, it is necessary that the choice of species used consider their toxic potential, that more studies are careful and that educational activities are implemented for population knowledge and the adoption of preventive measures for accidents.Item Estimativa do sequestro de carbono no Parque da Jaqueira, Recife/PE(2022-05-27) Melo, Anne Karoline Lima de; Lima Neto, Everaldo Marques de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6791561445213969; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1734941378825031Item Diagnóstico quali-quantitativo da arborização do Parque do Atalaia no município de Escada-PE(2021-12-10) Lima, Klívia Grazielly da Silva; Lima Neto, Everaldo Marques de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6791561445213969; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6878720904890921The accelerated and disorderly growth of cities, followed by irregular land occupations, caused the replacement of urban vegetation by buildings and road structures, making it difficult for cities to plan properly and causing a series of problems, such as soil sealing, temperature increase loss of biodiversity and increased noise pollution. Urban afforestation comprises the afforestation of streets and public and private green areas. The parks are inseted in public green areas and are considered public spaces for leisure and recreation for the city's population, providing many benefits, such as psychological well-being, physical contact with nature and the practice of physical activity. Thus, the research aims to evaluate the afforestation of Parque do Atalaia in Escada-PE, with the aim of creating a database that will serve as a subsidy for the management of the urban forest. The study was carried out at Parque do Atalaia, which is located in the center of the city of Escada-PE. A census inventory of all species with CBH (circumference at breast height) ≥ 15 cm was carried out. The dendrometric data were measured: total height, crown diameter, CBH, DBH (diameter at breast height), crown area and basal area. From these data, the morphometric indices were calculated: Degree of Slenderness, Salience Index, and Coverage Index. Spatial indices of shading, tree cover and tree density index were determined. The Shannon-Wiener diversity indices, the Pielou evenness index and the Simpson diversity index were analyzed. As for the phytosociological parameters, absolute density, relative density, absolute dominance, relative dominance, absolute coverage value, relative coverage value, absolute importance value and relative importance value were determined. Regarding the qualitative aspects, the plant health of individual trees, the general condition, vandalism, stem morphology (tortuosity/inclination), evaluation of the first bifurcation, root system condition, pruning condition and conflicts were evaluated. The species Inga edulis, Handroanthus sp. and Senna siamea together make up 56.78% of the Park's tree cover, where only 36.84% of the species found were classified as native to the Brazilian flora. A worrying value was observed in the spatial indices, on the other hand, most arboreal individuals are in good physical and phytosanitary conditions. Conflicts between afforestation and the electricity network were not relevant and the greatest damages observed resulted from pruning and vandalism. Essentially, the adoption of measures to introduce other species was suggested, prioritizing native species, to promote diversity and balance the frequency of species that already exist in the Park, increasing thermal comfort and contributing to aesthetic and ecological improvement, thus avoiding the loss of municipal arboreal heritage.
