The main objective of this study is report the rare occurrence of metastasis of the transmissible venereal tumor (TVT) to the bladder and urethra of a mix-breed female dog, treated at the UFRPE Veterinary Hospital, through the cytological description of the lesions and the ultrasonographic aspects. Metastatic lesions were discovered due to ultrasound examination performed for patient cancer staging, in which neoplastic masses involving the urethra, bladder’s neck and body were observed, presenting heterogeneous echotexture, irregular borders and internal vascularization by color Doppler. The definitive diagnosis came through aspiration cytology, characterizing TVT with plasmacytoid pattern. The rare occurrence of metastasis in these locations is noteworthy.

Due to environmental impacts, a lot of species are suffering from loss habitat, loss of populations and genetic diversity. One alternative to minimize loss of population and genetic diversity it is by using Reproductive Biotechniques. These techniques allow new individuals to be generated and also several samples of different genetic sources be stored for future use. The internship accomplished at The Center for Conservation and Research of Endangered Wildlife and at Mata Ciliar Association looked for improve skills in the area of assisted reproduction in felines, with focus on neotropical felines. Using the domestic cat (Felis catus) as a model, it was possible to perform several evaluations and methodologies linked to Reproductive Biotechnics such as morphological evaluation, conventional slow freeze, ultra rapid freeze, oocyte maturation, in vitro fertilization and embryo production. After learning those methodologies, it was possible to develop a seminary related, being possible to collect two individuals of cougar using the techniques of urethral catheterization and Electroejaculation and freeze the ejaculate of one specimen. Other activities could also be done, such as surgery and laparoscopy, clinical attendance of rescued wildlife, conditioning, maintenance of enclosures and educational activities. The experiences during the internship period allowed the acquisition of new skills and also the improvement of others, being really important for the professional career of the intern.

This report was prepared at the end of the Supervised Probationary (ESO) to obtain the partial grade, prerequisites for the graduation of Veterinary Medicine. The ESO happened in two different campus of UNESP, in the area of Large Animals Surgery at the Botucatu campus and at the Veterinary Ophthalmology service at the Jaboticabal campus. Finally, the literature review on Enteral Fluid Therapy in Equines, developed after observation during the interniship. Enteral Fluid Therapy consists the administration of electrolytic solutions in the gastrointestinal tract in order to correct local and systemic imbalances. This technique proves to be an inexpensive and physiologically safe alternative, with few clinical limitations for its application. The accomplishment of this stage allowed me to experience new techniques and behaviors, enriching the knowledge acquired in the undergraduate course.
