Item Ética na gestão de conflitos em serviços de alimentação(2024-02-21) Souza, Ynglides Natasha Feliciano de; Shinohara, Neide Kazue Sakugawa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7105928729564845Ethics in the workplace, especially in the food service sector, is fundamental to the success of companies. Food safety, product quality and customer satisfaction depend on a positive and productive environment where conflicts are managed effectively. This case study examines the importance of ethics in conflict management and how it can improve corporate environments, strengthen relationships between employees and boost the growth of companies in the food service sector. Ethics in conflict management is essential to the success of companies in the food service sector. By investing in ethical practices, companies can build healthier work environments, strengthen employee relationships and drive sustainable growth. This study aimed to understand how ethics is understood by employees/managers, whether it is practiced between employees and companies and how conflict management can influence these actions. In the survey, 57.5% of respondents believe that their colleagues do not act ethically in the workplace. With regard to frequent experiences with unethical situations, a considerable proportion of respondents (85%) had experienced situations they considered unethical at work, such as bullying (30%), discrimination (22.5%), gossip (17.5%) and gender prejudice (5%). Concern was expressed about the lack of effective and safe reporting channels, which is why only 7.5% of employees reported the conflict(s) to their superiors, demonstrating the concern of fear and fear of punishment and embarrassment in the workplace. In view of these findings, it is necessary to implement training, awareness campaigns and codes of conduct that reinforce the importance of ethics; create safe and effective reporting channels; investigate and punish cases of unethical behavior, demonstrating that the company does not tolerate inappropriate behavior.Item Como a (in)felicidade impacta nos engenheiros de software em ambientes ágeis?(2019-12-04) Amorim, Luís Felipe Cavalcanti de; Marinho, Marcelo Luiz Monteiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3362360567612060; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6498416955849459Given a scenario where IT organizations are increasing the use of agile practices, which is based on a people-centered culture along software development process, it is important to understand the social and human factors linked to those individuals, such as happiness and unhappiness and how these factors impact on this kind of environment. Therefore, 5 case-studies were developed inside agile projects, in a company that values innovation, aiming to identify how (un)happiness impacts on software engineers in agile environments. According to the answers gathered from 67 participants through a survey and using a cross-analysis, (un)happiness characteristics were identified as anxiety and frustration on younger respondents and unhappy ones, and high satisfaction and collaboration on happier ones.Item Coworkings sociais como apoio ao empreendedorismo: proposição de definição do construto e abordagem de investigação(2023) Silva, Jadson Freire da; Oliveira, Brigitte Renata Bezerra de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4363373068676222; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1773238385935204The changes that have occurred in recent years have impacted various spheres of society and this includes work formats: the home office, telecommuting, intermittent work and Coworking can be taken as examples. Coworkings, shared work environments, are being introduced in Brazil through economically favored regions. Thus, mechanisms that manage to adhere to the existing gaps that support the underprivileged social strata and enter into unconquered spaces can open alternative conditions for entrepreneurship. In light of this, the objective of this paper is to specify the domain of the construct Social Coworking (CW Social) and its support for entrepreneurship, as well as to present an appropriate research approach. Through the foundation in concepts of Collaborative Economy, Networks, Entrepreneurship and geoprocessing techniques it was possible to present ten propositions that help in the development of a definition of Social Coworkings that dialogue with the traditional literature and interconnect to directions that solve the challenges encountered, especially in Brazil.Item Diversidade de gênero no setor de tecnologia: barreiras encontradas e percepção de sucesso das mulheres do Porto Digital(2021-12-09) Silva, Lizandra Lígia Soares Bezerra; Sampaio, Suzana Cândido de Barros; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0066131495297081; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6600757641977555Over the years, it is remarkable that women have been increasingly conquering their space in society, acquiring rights and acting in the labor market. However, gender inequality and the absence of women in certain roles is still a problem that persists, especially when it comes to women working in the field of technology. In this context, the objective of this work is to analyze the reason for the low number of women working in the area of software development, and if the identified barriers can be overcome based on the perception of success. Based on a literature review, an online questionnaire was developed, which was applied to women from the Porto Digital ecosystem in Recife, obtaining a total of 83 responses. To support the analysis of the results, in addition to the literature review, the PSPP tool was used to perform statistical calculations. It was possible to identify which personal and organizational barriers were found, such as self-demanding, leadership problems and harassment. A positive work environment was indicated as an aspect of success in projects, and could also be a solution to overcome problems.
