Images, moving images, videos and other forms of new media now permeate our everyday lives in an unprecedented way, in a way that traditional media never did. The possibility of creating an image of oneself, provided by these new means, represents a crucial point in accessing self-representation in a world increasingly governed by images. This research aims to analyze the relationship between identity, self-image and the impact of digital social networks on the lives of young university students, investigating the process of building self-image in these virtual spaces, through students entering Social Sciences and History courses. The study was carried out using a semi-structured questionnaire with open and closed questions, to explore subjective perceptions about the digital social networks covered, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter/X. The analyzes reflect on how digital practices shape new forms of subjectivity, altering the individual's relationship with time, space and other social agents. Finally, the monograph investigates the social and emotional implications of constant exposure and search for validation online, highlighting the ephemerality of digital interactions and their effects on perceptions of authenticity.Item A importância da presença digital na captação e fidelização de clientes: um estudo de caso no restaurante pernambucano Cá-Já(2024-09-26) Nascimento, Nathalya Tavares Braga do; Calabria, Ericka Maria de Melo Rocha; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3564220946174205; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5789891502342126Item Memes e o ensino de História: uma experiência pedagógica no âmbito do PIBID História - UFRPE(2024-02-21) Azevedo, Paulo Matheus Bezerra Viana de; Santos, Maria Emília Vasconcelos dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4794117737260000; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2375934324499736Over the past few years, it has been possible to observe an increase in the use of digital technologies, especially by young people around the world. At a time of high use in Digital Information and Communication Technologies (TDIC's), traditional teaching and learning methods have become outdated, making it necessary to innovate this process, taking into consideration the historical context and the transformations experienced by students. With that said, this article aims, in first place, to understand the current situation in which young people are inserted, also assimilating how they use networks; know the origin and trajectory of memes, analyzing how they are used by young people socially, culturally and politically; present the possible pedagogical uses of memes in history lessons, using the meme as a cultural product that mobilizes different skills and, finally, expose a project aligned with this theme experienced in the sphere of PIBID História - UFRPE. From the project and the research carried out with the participating students, it was possible to observe high engagement and greater interest from students when they are encouraged to work with tools that are already familiar to them, proving that the meme is an effective pedagogical resource in history classes.Item Mitada, riso e movimentação neofascista nas redes: a nova direita brasileira e a memeficação da política(2022-09-10) Borges, Carlos Eduardo Muniz; Spenillo, Giuseppa Maria Daniel; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4350911353530987; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2289929250590316The work presents the investigation of the approximation of a new so-called Brazilian right with the sectors of cyberculture, suggesting that this promotion produced a process called memefication of politics, where an advertisement of the so-called defended via memes is confused. This study aims to delve into how the phenomenon of cancellation intersects with consumer behavior and its evolution into practices associated with hate speech. To achieve this, we propose conducting a literature review, using a narrative approach, to facilitate a more comprehensive critical analysis and interpretation in knowledge construction. Additionally, we will briefly examine people's reactions to the music video "Strawberry Field" by pop singer Luísa Sonza as an illustrative example of this phenomenon's evolution. From this perspective, cancellation in consumer culture emerges as a confrontational and often violent movement intertwined with elements of hate speech. This trend tends to disproportionately affect women and other marginalized groups in online spaces. Paradoxically, it can also amplify the visibility of the content being targeted, ensuring that artists, brands, and products continue to be at the center of trending discussions, even amidst the presence of haters.Item Rivais em campo, irmãs na luta: os desafios e conquistas dos movimentos de mulheres no futebol pernambucano(2023-08-14) Sarinho, Bárbara Santos; Spenillo, Giuseppa Maria Daniel; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4350911353530987; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1272819846123550The paper presents an investigation into women's movements in Pernambuco football and their fight for gender equality in football, based on the identification of three movements in Recife: Movimento Coralinas (Santa Cruz), Elas e o Sport (Sport) and Timbuzeiras (Náutico). Through participant observation, application of a form via Google Forms and the appliance of three semi-structured interviews, between the months of November 2022 and June 2023, the work suggests that such movements are established in a hybrid space between digital social networks and the football stands, configuring communities of affection (Maffesoli, 1998; Weber, 1987; Elias, 1980) and instant communities of transformative practice (Castells, 2017). The relationships between women's movements in football and other organizations demonstrate a network action in order to face challenges to achieve their goals.Item Investigação do direcionamento do mercado por meio dos motores de busca(2023-04-28) Campelo Neto, Geraldo de Oliveira; Rocha, Maria Alice Vasconcelos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6818128111009316The purpose of this article is to investigate how companies use search engines to target the market, exploring the main strategies used and the results obtained.
