    Desafios na Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) da Escola Municipal Tiradentes, na Zona Rural de São Lourenço da Mata - PE

    Esta monografia aborda a educação do campo e os desafios enfrentados pela Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) na Escola Municipal de São Lourenço da Mata, PE. O estudo traça um quadro teórico que integra aspectos do ensino no campo e da EJA, abordando suas especificidades, dificuldades e potencialidades. A mesma teve como objetivo geral analisar os desafios e as oportunidades da Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) no contexto do campo na Escola Municipal Tiradentes, em São Lourenço da Mata. Já os objetivos específicos foram: identificar os principais desafios enfrentados pelos alunos e professores da EJA na Escola Municipal Tiradentes, considerando as especificidades do contexto rural; investigar as potencialidades e saberes locais que podem ser incorporados ao currículo e às práticas pedagógicas, promovendo a valorização da cultura do campo; analisar as condições estruturais e pedagógicas da escola e seu impacto no ensino e na aprendizagem. Para isso, foram realizadas 5 entrevistas com as estudantes e aplicados 3 questionários aos professores da Escola Municipal Tiradentes, na zona rural de São Lourenço da Mata - PE, buscando compreender as experiências de todos os envolvidos no processo educativo. Os resultados apontam para a complexidade das condições de ensino e aprendizagem, ao mesmo tempo em que destacam iniciativas e práticas que podem contribuir para a melhoria da educação no campo. A pesquisa conclui que, apesar dos desafios, existem oportunidades significativas de transformação e inclusão social, que podem ser potencializadas por meio de uma abordagem pedagógica contextualizada e comprometida com as realidades locais. As entrevistas evidenciam a importância de uma educação que não apenas ofereça conhecimentos formais, mas que também promova o desenvolvimento integral dos alunos, levando em conta suas realidades e desafios, necessitando de investimentos e políticas públicas que garantam a educação de forma mais ampla.

    Violência na escola: impactos nos processos de ensino e aprendizagem

    The general objective of this study is to analyze the forms of manifestation of violence in schools and how this phenomenon impacts the teaching and learning processes in a municipal school in Recife-PE. Three specific objectives were identified, namely: to describe the different manifestations of violence that are most frequent in the school environment; to identify the interferences of the phenomenon of violence in the school institution in relation to student performance and teaching practice; and to explain the importance of public policies to combat violence as an effective right for all those involved in school education. The methodology of the study is qualitative and of the case study type. Regarding the instruments used in data collection, observation in three classrooms and interviews with three teachers and the school manager were used. The analysis of the data obtained was inspired by Discourse Analysis according to the perspective of Orlandi (2001), which made it possible to understand the discourses propagated by the research participants through the instruments used, highlighting how violence remains in the classroom, interfering considerably in the school routine, which consequently affects the teaching and learning processes, since it was found, through the research, the lack of an adequate professional training, in addition to consistent public policies that aim to stop this phenomenon in schools.

    Inclusão em perspectiva: análise das barreiras ao acesso à educação para pessoas com deficiência no Brasil

    The paper explores the barriers faced by people with disabilities (PwDs) in Brazil regarding access to education, the job market, and income, with a focus on the impact of ableism. Defined as a system of beliefs that views disability as an inferior condition, ableism directly affects the formulation and implementation of public policies, resulting in discriminatory practices that perpetuate social exclusion. The research highlights that, despite the existence of laws such as the Brazilian Inclusion Law (LBI), PwDs continue to face significant challenges in completing basic education. Recent data show that illiteracy and dropout rates among PwDs are significantly higher compared to the non-disabled population. Furthermore, while inclusive education policies have evolved numerically, they fail to provide adequate support within regular schools, often exposing students with disabilities to prejudiced environments without the necessary resources for their full development. The research criticizes public policies for their often immediate and ableist approach, which seeks short-term solutions rather than structural changes. It also addresses the social and economic implications of this exclusion, particularly the precariousness of the job market for PwDs, where many find themselves in informal and poorly paid jobs. Finally, the study suggests that overcoming these barriers requires both a cultural transformation that challenges ableism and the creation of truly inclusive public policies, capable of offering equal opportunities and ensuring the full exercise of the rights of all PwDs.

    "A mulher que fica": os desdobramentos socioeconômicos do estigma de cortesia e encarceramento na unidade familiar

    The aim of this scientific contribution is to discuss the social and economic consequences of the courtesy stigma of imprisonment on the family unit of convicts. To this end, the concept of courtesy stigma will be discussed initially, based on a bibliographical survey, with the aim of not only bringing the literature and the empirical closer together, but also amplifying the voices and experiences of those families who, like mine, have dealt with stigma and its perversity. Next, the notion of public policies will be addressed, as well as the importance of formulating social policies aimed at protecting the family of the incarcerated. In this way, a reading of these families will be glimpsed beyond the imagery of the "prisoner's family, taking into account authentic testimonies from interviewees - classified below as 'the woman who stays" - who bring to light the main implications of the socio-economic consequences of imprisonment on their lives, as well as the overload of care work and material responsibility. Interviews were therefore carried out in the Metropolitan Region of Recife, with women who are part of families in which one of the family members was imprisoned by the justice system at some point. From this survey, it was possible to identify that the stigma of courtesy functions as a hegemonic mode of individuation, constructing the social identity of the undesirable - family members of prisoners - with the main results being a reduction in family income, intensification of care work, social vulnerability, female loneliness and other prejudices relating to the unit.

    Os desafios na implementação de políticas públicas no município de Vitória de Santo Antão: experiências de discricionariedade no programa Saúde Até Mais Tarde

    This study stands out in the field of public policy by analyzing the implementation phase with a focus on the discretion exercised by street-level bureaucrats. The general objective of this research is to understand the process of implementing the 'Saúde Até Mais Tarde' program and the role played by street-level bureaucracy in the realization of this public policy in two Basic Health Units in Vitória de Santo Antão-PE. To achieve this, it was essential to have a theoretical framework that underpinned the discussion of the topics. A qualitative research approach was adopted, with a descriptive and analytical character; this approach allowed for an in-depth exploration of the experiences and perceptions of the professionals involved through semi-structured interviews, providing a descriptive analysis of how bureaucrats perceive the program in question and an interpretive analysis of their practices and adaptations made in the daily execution of the program through three analytical categories: action, reason, and form. The results demonstrate a positive outlook on the implementation of the program in the UBS while revealing the challenges of discretion in maintaining the program, adapting services to patients' needs, resource scarcity, emotional impact, the need for harmony in the work environment, among others. The experience of the BNRs in Vitória de Santo Antão shows how discretion is crucial for overcoming daily challenges by adapting health services to local realities and the needs of the population.

    “O crime compensa?”: uma análise social e econômica das políticas de segurança no estado de Pernambuco (2008-2022)

    This work investigates the relationship between Lethal and Intentional Violent Crimes (CVLI) and economic indicators such as GDP, education, housing, basic sanitation and investments in public security in Pernambuco, between 2008 and 2022, using a literature review methodology and statistical comparison analysis to demonstrate the interaction between these factors. In this way, the persistence of violence in the history of the state of Pernambuco was addressed, relating it to social inequality and economic development, in addition to the analysis of social classes to understand economic and political disparities, highlighting the importance of formulating public policies to promote social justice. Inspired by Gary Becker's Economic Theory of Crime, the study focuses on the economic determinants of criminal acts, analyzing incentives, costs and benefits, and considering marginalization, social inequality and lack of opportunities as significant contributors to crime. The update results provide insights into the possible relationship between Lethal and Intentional Violent Crimes and economic indicators, but should be interpreted with caution. As described throughout this work, there are several approaches to interpreting the motivation and causality that the individual has for committing the crime. In short, these results indicate that investments in the analyzed indicators are associated with a reduction in the rates of Intentional Lethal Violent Crimes, results obtained through the Pearson improvement. This suggests that social policies and investments in various areas can play an important role in preventing crime.

    A perspectiva freireana nas políticas públicas de educação de jovens e adultos em Pernambuco

    This article investigates the public policies that make up EJA - Youth and Adult Education in PE, relating it to Paulo Freire's perspective in relation to this teaching modality. To this end, the work describes the public policies for maintaining this Education of the Federal Government and Government of the State of Pernambuco, mainly by the Department of Education and Sports of Pernambuco, set out in the Annual Report of Indicators, RAI of 2020 and 2022. This research is justified by the need to strengthen the state's public policies for this type of teaching, hence the need for its implementation through revised bibliographic data and current legislation. These are represented in the documents that guide Pernambuco's National and State Public Policy, identifying these principles of Liberating Education, whether it is being implemented, whether a budget is available that corresponds to it, as well as a description of how it can be developed according to the sociocultural context of this audience.

    Vivências e práticas agroecológicas: juventude do movimento sindical rural, semeando resistência e cultivando um mundo novo

    This work aims to systematize my experiences and learnings in the Agroecology course at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE). Accessing the records that were made during this period; reports, maps, photos, videos, podcasts, among others. You can carry out a chronological analysis, and with the support of the Seasonal Calendar, one of the Participatory Rural Diagnosis (DRP) tools. Highlight the themes that most resonate with my training as an educator, among the different spaces in which I had the opportunity to work. The Agrarian Question caught my attention due to the struggle and resistance movements for land. The second most relevant issue that stood out during the recollection was the participation and evolution in the youth movement of the Rural Workers' Union Movement (MSTTR). Upon joining the state commission, I participated in various activities from state to national level. During my participation, I realized the need to organize in order to access existing public policies, and to build new ones that provide the permanence and succession of rural men and women. , with dignity and quality of life. Identifying this need, I sought to study existing laws, policies and programs, in order to be able to appropriate and collaborate in these subjects' access to such policies.

    A voz dos pescadores sobre políticas públicas para a pesca artesanal – Colônia Z1 em Pernambuco – séc. XXI

    The objective of this study consists of a dialogue with fishermen from the Z-1 Fisherman's Colony, in Recife, about public policies for artisanal fishing. A Case Study, in which the contributions of government public policies in the field of artisanal fishing were mapped and identified in this institution in the 21st century. Data from interviews and bibliographical research on the topic show that government dialogue with the researched community is incipient.
