This work aims to analyze and reflect on the periodical and its discursive production, questioning what it reveals about the homosexual movement at the time of its production. From this perspective, it understands it as a collective act of "capture of speech" by Brazilian homosexuals, a concept that expresses a symbolic revolution led by a group seeking to integrate into the public and political space but lacking the necessary reflective foundations. Firstly, the work discusses the relationship between the Dictatorship and homosexuality, analyzing how the regime restricts the forms of sociability and visibility of this emerging subculture, making the dictatorial opening a favorable moment for the rise of this collective, also driven by a broader context of politicization of identity and homosexual organization. Next, it analyzes how the positive, intellectualized, and politicized perspective of the newspaper stands out in the media context of the time, marked by disqualifying discourses about homosexuality. Finally, recurring themes on the covers of "Lampião da Esquina" were selected - from editions available in the digital archive CEDOC - Centro de Documentação Prof Dr Luiz Mott - that effectively expressed the collective organization and symbolic revolution by Brazilian homosexuals. Through a textual-discursive analysis of the selected texts, it was concluded that the pages of the periodical are marked by the tensioning of conflicting perspectives, indicating its role in identity and political construction and discussion, not mere dissemination of a pre-established discourse. Thus, "Lampião da Esquina" is understood as an alternative media that sought to open a space for discussion for multiple agents and previously silenced discourses, serving as a valuable source to highlight and remember the historical struggle of dissident sexualities and their creative and revolutionary potential.Item Mulheres indígenas na ditadura militar brasileira: uma análise da representação e resistência(2024-02-27) Dutra, Letícia Gabriela da Silva; Silva, Marcília Gama da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0090863442089957; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3627397878293507This article addresses the history of indigenous women during the period of the military dictatorship in Brazil, with an emphasis on the 1970s, highlighting their representation and resistance in the midst of a moment that was strongly marked by the evidence of human rights and political oppression, seeking to outline an alternative to escape the stereotyping of indigenous women, without the intention of placing them as the protagonist of their own history in a period in which they were constantly disconnected, and presenting the different groups in which these women were inserted in an attempt to put forward their struggle, history and culture as the center of their resistance.Item A propaganda da ditadura: o futebol como propulsor do milagre econômico(2024-03-01) Cunha, João Victor Cruz; Silva, Marcília Gama da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0090863442089957The path experienced by the Civil-military Dictatorship (1964-1985) in Brazil have a lot of nuances and issues debated in historiography. On April 1, the military and civilian forces would actually carry out President João Goulart's deposing plan beginning the period known as the Brazilian dictatorial period. Upon the nation's defense aegis has sprung a whole repressive web that will make heavy efforts to maintain the regime at all costs. Through this research, we seek to demonstrate how slavery continued to occur even after almost a century of abolition. In this context, regional and social vulnerabilities contributed to making certain portions of the population more susceptible to enticement and consequent exploitation. To support the analysis, we used the perspective of the History of the Present Time insofar as both the 1964 dictatorship and contemporary slavery are historical events of the past that persist in the collective memory, politics, economy and social relations of our country. country. In addition, we seek to understand the position of the newspaper studied in a scenario of censorship and repression, in which such denunciations could harm the positive image that had been built on the economic and social policy of the Military Government.Item A pátria de chuteiras: ditadura militar e a copa do mundo de 1970 em podcast(2020-10-29) Mello Filho, André Araújo Bezerra de; Silva, Marcília Gama da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0090863442089957; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7550176653283967Item Imperialismo estadunidense e dependência latino-americana: o ciclo de ditaduras empresariais-militares a partir das experiências brasileira e chilena(2023-04-25) Ávila, João Marcelo de Farias Rocha; Marçal Filho, José Carlos Gomes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5449086191539864; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7093772919202439The present work aims to investigate the correlation between United-Statesian imperialism, latin-american dependence and the Southern Cone’s entrepreneurial-military dictatorships cycle (1954-1990). Our hypothesis is that the dictatorships cycle on the subregion of the American continent has served to deepen dependence’s conditions of implicated latin-american countries, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, and broaden imperialism’s and its greatest agent, the United States, scope of action. Thereto, we introduce the conceptual presuppositions of the dependence theory. Initially we present Latin America’s historical-estructural formation process and its establishment and consolidation as periphery of the world capitalist system. We analyze United-Statesian imperialism’s manifestation’s emergence and expansion throughout the American continent. We address, even, of international division of labour’s reconfiguration post-World War II, to ascertain dependent capitalism’s new character that it entails. Forwardly, we take as study cases two of the processes of instauration of entrepreneurial-military dictatorships of said cycle, that of Brazil, in 1964, and that of Chile, in 1973. We peer into United-Statesian imperialism’s decisive weight, through numerous factual sources, allied to the national bourgeoisies, in the fomentation and conduction of Brazilian and Chilean coups. Ultimately, we observe the political-economic effects that the Brazilian and Chilean states of exception brought about, such as denationalization of national capitals, massive penetration of foreign capitals and military-police repression. Such effects have served in favor of national dependent and central imperialist bourgeoisies’ interests, demonstratively beneficiaries of the whole process. We verify, thereby, taking by example Brazilian and Chilean experiences, that the entrepreneurial-military dictatorships cycle occurred in the Southern Cone had acquired a fascist content, in the persecution of barring popular movement’s growing strength and deepen latin-american historical dependence, at the same time enlarging United-Statesian imperialism’s margins of action over the continent.
