Item Comunidade Quilombola Onze Negras: identidade e reconhecimento em questão(2017) Silva, Jairo Hely; Barros, Marcos André de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3743403239578149; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2547694049874830The recognition of quilombolas communities is a very important problem for the Social Sciences. In the last periods, studies that analyze the nuances of this problem, address the issues inherent to it, as well as the implications that are present in the long paths taken by the quilombola communities, which aim at their struggle for recognition, in a social process that also materializes in the Legal plan. However, this recognition of quilombola communities can only be achieved, of course, through uninterrupted conflicts. In this sense, we intuit that the dialogical reality that involves the recognition of a certain quilombola community can be understood from the analysis of the contexts of a struggle for recognition, which is undertaken by each community, in a complex relation of historical construction of its Identity, mediated By interaction with the social whole. In order to understand how the factors that imply the construction of the identity of the quilombola communities and that operate from their recognition, the present work seeks, in a case study, to analyze the issues of this important social process. The research presented here was carried out in the community Quilombola Onze Negras, located in the municipality of Cabo de Santo Agostinho, metropolitan region of Recife, capital of the state of Pernambuco. With participant observation sessions and semistructured interviews; Dialoging with the theories of identity and the historical analysis of the quilombola question in Brazil; Using the approaches of the theory of recognition, we intend to contribute to the discussion about the recognition and construction of the quilombola identity, in approximation with the reality of this community, contributing to the debate that involves the themes of recognition and identity of quilombola communities. The description of results is a case study on fish farming and its relation to income in settlements of family farmers. The activity of fish farming has been relatively successful in Northeast agriculture, especially evidencing an improvement in family income and also in the nutritional status of these families. In order to do so, we describe the public policies coming from the federal and state spheres that provided or encouraged this new complementary activity, such as financial incentive policies for fishings. This last one concerns a policy destined to populate rivers, dams and masonry tanks with fry of the most commercialized species on the market, are: Tilapia, Carp and Tambaqui. As a case study, the concordia / santa cruz and old engenho I settlements were selected, in the city of São Lourenço da Mata, in the Zona da Mata area of Pernambuco, where interviews were made with the settlers who worked with fish farming, in 2018. Based on the information collected, it was found that the state and federal public policies were not determinant factors for settlers to introduce pisciculture as an activity complementary to income, since the absence of the same at the place searched was verified. Moreover, it was possible to verify that this activity became the main source of their income and no longer to complement. It was also concluded that the dynamics in the settlements consisted of three important points: a) The concession of lots for the families; b) The implementation of fish farming autonomously by the settlers and finally c) It was evident the profitability of fish farming for family income.Item Hip hop: a contribuição dos rappers evangélicos da cidade de Recife-PE na ressignificação do sagrado e do profano(2018) Bezerra, Erasmo Ribeiro; Silva, Maria Auxiliadora Gonçalves da; Aquino, Rosa Maria de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7663893470581900; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1540473468896261; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0344988958733571The evangelical religious field has been presenting significant changes in this postmodern world and with this the understanding about the sacred and the profane adapts according to the religious demand of the different evangelical trends. Within this context, evangelical music underwent several transformations so that, as time passed, it became increasingly heterogeneous. This work sought to understand how and when hip-hop culture was assimilated by the evangelical field in the city of Recife - PE, breaking with the borders between the sacred and the profane, in order to convert young people. The subjects of the research were three rappers from Recife. The qualitative methodology was applied with recorded interviews and non-participant observation of the artistic performances by the three artists. After analyzing the history and characteristics of the re-signified hip-hop, that was renamed as gospel hip-hop, as well as after studying its relationship with the sacred and the secular spaces, we concluded that the sacralization of this musical genre was more successful among the young audiences of less conservative churches and it was made possible by the role of some evangelical churches and the religious consumer market that sought to legitimize hip-hop for religious purposes. Yet, this process has faced resistance and is still being resisted by many of the more conservative evangelicals.Item Cabelo crespo e mulher negra: a relação entre cabelo e a construção da identidade negra(2018) Freitas, Geisiane Cristina de Souza; Silva, Maria Auxiliadora Gonçalves da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1540473468896261; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0789389803649488It is the main objective of this research to verify the impact of structural racism in the construction of the black woman's identity with respect to curly hair. The object of study was black women who are students of the UFRPE courses in social sciences, history and physical education, the research was approached through the qualitative method with the use of interviews to investigate the relationship of curly hair to the construction of black identity. From the notes made by them the concepts of race, racism, identity, aesthetics and black aesthetics were discussed and how this hiatus impacts on their subjectivity and perception of their respective identities. It was reached the understanding that as a result of the structural racism that inferiorizes the black beauty, the women did not recognize themselves as black before going through the hair transition and the resignification of their curly hair.Item Dos limites da habitação à liberdade do habitar: uma análise de gênero da provisão habitacional do Programa PAC-Beberibe(2018) Mendonça, Maria Carolina Lins; Arrais, Leonardo Antonio Cisneiros; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6303281122303996; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1989682684892833The present study aims to analyze the implementation process of the Beberibe Basin Integrated Sanitation Program (PAC-Beberibe), considering the housing provision built within this program (The Residential Complex Miguel Arraes), based on the social gender relations. Therefore, we aim to (1) understand the elements that influence the relation between women and habitat, (2) analyze the context in which occurs the dwelling realization of the dwellers in the residential complex and, finally, (3) to verify if the implemented housing policy contributes to the reduction of gender inequalities. Thereunto, the study involves the adoption of the qualitative and theoretical approach of gender to the understanding of its object. In order to achieve the proposed objectives and to guarantee greater reliability of our research, through the data triangulation and results, the instruments of participant observation, documentary and bibliographic analysis were used, as well as semi-structured interviews with six beneficiaries of the Program. These data were treated through the concepts of gender (SCOTT, 1989) and dwell (HEIDEGGER, 2008) as well as based on the monitoring indicators developed by the UN Human Rights Council Rapporteur on the Right to Adequate Housing. Our analyzes pointed out, among other results, that in the beneficiaries of the program perspective the PAC-Beberibe action strategies do nothing to reduce, in the field of territorial development, the social inequalities faced by women. The results of this research may therefore contribute to the construction of more in-depth reflections about the complexity of the relation between gender and public policies, as well as provisioning a relevant scientific contribution to the formulation of housing policies that consider the inseparability among to build, to dwell and to think, considering gender relations.Item Os jogos na Sociologia: uma leitura a partir de Roger Caillois (1913-1978)(2018) Oliveira, Hacsa Priscila Soares de; Paula Junior, Josias Vicente de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8013351027708968; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8010815032232304This monograph proposes to present the essay "Man, Play and Games" (1990), of the French sociologist Roger Caillois (1913-1978). Its main objective is to investigate the reception of the Caillois game theory in the area of Social Sciences in Brazil, making a synthesis of the theory and contextualizing the essay with the other productions of the author. Through the bibliographical research and the documentary analysis, it was possible to verify that the theory of the games of Roger Caillois is not discussed in the country, in the scope of the Social Sciences. It was also possible to verify the applications or resignifications of the theory from the analysis of theoretical and empirical researches produced contemporaneously in Brazil in other areas of knowledge.Item O protagonismo juvenil da AIESEC: uma experiência internacional no chão do Nordeste(2018) Conceição, Carolina Gomes da; Brito, Paulo Afonso Barbosa de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0891943804378064; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8590335938652477This thesis deals with young people and their relationship with society as protagonists who assume the roles of social actors. For this we take as reference the experience of a youth organization called Aiesec. In the theoretical field the work is based on the "Sociology of the Youth", as formulated by Karl Mannheim and later researchers. The main objective of the research is to demonstrate how and if Aiesec contributes to the practice of youthful protagonism through its discourse and actions. In order to understand and reflect on this matter, authors such as Antonio Carlos Gomes da Costa and Regina Magalhães Souza contributed to the debate of youth protagonism in contemporary times. The method adopted in this research was qualitative methodology, using semi-structured interviews and participant observation. As for the hypothesis, it was confirmed by the analysis of the data collected, so it was possible to find evidence that Aiesec provides and stimulates environments where youths can exercise their protagonist capacity, occupy spaces of decision and act as transforming agents in diverse spheres of society.Item "A volta dos que não foram": uma avaliação da política de atendimento aos egressos da FUNASE(2018) Silva, Elãine dos Santos Dias da; Andrade, Fábio Bezerra de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9407924493644881; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8933211613975738The main objective of this work is the evaluation of the policy of attending the former inmates of FUNASE - Projeto Novas Oportunidades (New Opportunities Project). To this end, it will be presented the course of legislation aimed at young people in conflict with the law, until the creation of the ECA and the Public Policies focused on the Socio-educational System and Youth. In order to base the evaluation of public policies, we will demonstrate the theories that deal with this subject, and the methods used in it. Through the theoretical revision, a survey will be presented on the policies of attendance to the graduates of the socio-educational system in the country. In order to reach the objective of this study, a qualitative and quantitative perspective was taken, based on interviews with the team of the New Opportunities Project and with some young participants, in addition to ex post evaluation, through demonstration of goals and results of the Project, between its first three years of operation (2014 - 2017). At the end of the research, it will be possible to reach to a point of understanding of the scarcity of the implementation of social policies aimedat young people in conflict with the law upon their return to freedom, as well as elucidate the specific reality of the policy of attention to the former inmates of the socio-educational system in Pernambuco, the results achieved, as well as the lack of investment and its notorious need for expansion.Item O trabalho docente no Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e tecnologia de Pernambuco – IFPE: intensificação e a precarização(2018) Souza Júnior, Gilberto Romeiro de; Silva, Tarcísio Augusto Alves da; Gomes, Darcilene Cláudio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9776555032114922; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0520773156070065; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1321243725942713The main objective of this research was to analyze the increasingly precarious conditions for teaching at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Pernambuco (IFPE). For this, the following methodological procedures were used: The first one was a detailed review of extant scholarship in the area of Sociology of Work and Education, in order to contextualize the research and to elaborate its theoretical orientations. Secondly, primary data was carried out to analyze online questionnaires completed by teachers. Data were collected under the auspices of a research project entitled, "The expansion of the Federal Institutes of Education: The political-ideological profile and working conditions of the teachers of basic, technical and technological education," developed at the Joaquim Nabuco Foundation. Changes in the field of vocational and technological education, as well as the restructuring and expansion of the federal network, impacted the work of teachers at federal institutions, considering that the creation of new legal and normative regiments and the configuration of a new institutional culture provoked new rhythms and meanings for teaching, characterized by involvement in different forms of teaching, research, extension and management activities. This process has required teachers to live with an intensification of work that extends beyond the workplace to the times and spaces of private life.Item Movimentos sociais entre continuidades e inovações: a experiência do Movimento em Defesa da Mata do Engenho Uchôa(2018-08-30) Holanda, Wilson Caio Constantino de; Brito, Paulo Afonso Barbosa de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0891943804378064; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9326998146193411The social movements burst with spectacular mobilizing and formulating power in the May 1968, profoundly changing agenda, characters and methods involving the social popular struggle so far; from the working class, the working world, the factories sites, to the plurality of subjects, diversity of mottos, occupation of streets, squares, universities, incorporating questions such as peace, race, gender, identity, among others. Bearing this new notion in mind, this work focus the discussion in the social movement called “Movimento em Defesa da Mata do Engenho Uchôa”, studying its role as a changing agent in a given local reality. This movement follows the tradition of social movements in Recife throughout the History of Brazil, being able to place itself as a representative of the desires of several communities neighboring the Engenho Uchôa woodland. However, the movement fits in the dimension regarding the socalled “New Social Movements”, because it is notorious for the defense of the environment, which ascended from a local demand, but is present in a global agenda of collective efforts. However, there are different conceptions about it. In this sense, this research aimed to identify which concept of extension permeated the process that culminated with the construction of the Agrarian Reform Fair at UNICAP. To this end, the qualitative methodology was adopted, using at first the collection of information by documentary analysis in the final report of the 1st Forum of Local Development of Agreste de Pernambuco, in the Extension Project of the Agrarian Reform Fair and the Fruit of the Earth Consumption Group in related photographs. Subsequently, semi-structured interviews and simple simultaneous observations were conducted in order to obtain more in-depth information on the topic. The analysis of this information took place in the light of the conceptual work developed by teacher José Francisco de Melo Neto, especially with the concept of useful social work. The hypothesis initially raised and later confirmed rested on the idea that the process for the construction of the Fair valued horizontal relations between the participating subjects, as they contained aspects of intentionality, knowledge exchange, started from concrete realities and sought social transformations together with the communities.Item Informalidade nos trilhos: jovens trabalhadores no metrô do Recife(2019) Carneiro Junior, Risael Sybalde; Brito, Paulo Afonso Barbosa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0891943804378064This monograph starts from the observation that the world of work is structuring of social relations in human societies, therefore, the category of work is important for sociology in its effort to explain social phenomena. During the twentieth century profound changes marked the world of work, we deal specifically with informal work among young people, highlighting the reasons that lead young people to this type of work and raising the hypothesis that they belong to low income, needing complementary sources for family support, while seeking a professional qualification for a more stable job. As a central objective, we define by investigating the causes that lead young people to submit to informal work, which is highly precarious in the Recife subway. The methodological approach was based on qualitative research, through individual semi-structured interviews and field observations, as theoretical references from the founders of sociology to the contemporary authors of the sociology of work, with emphasis on Brazilians Ricardo Antunes and Giovanni Alves, and for youth studies, we focus on Helena Abramo. In conclusion, we demonstrate how the hypothesis was confirmed, however, that the concept and condition of "low income" is insufficient to characterize the daily dynamics and life expectancy of young informal workers.Item Rumo à Ilha Esmeralda: a nova onda migratória do Brasil(2019) Mello, Gabriel Benício de; Brito, Paulo Afonso Barbosa de; Corrêa, Maria Iraê de Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9339401156849765; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0891943804378064; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0311152735924304The current state of the economy, politics and moralsin Brazil isworrying. Currently we live in lands bathed by crises that affect the lives of thousands of brazilians, both in the issue of unemployment and the decline in quality of life, causing a group of individuals to seek solutions to these problems beyond the national territory. The main objective of the research wasto analyze in detail what qualified migrant subjects seek when performing the migratory act outside Brazilian lands. In this work we studied a profile of flow of individuals who have the desire to cross borders in search of emancipation and decent living conditions, because for these people, staying in Brazil means living within a hegemonic thinking focused on supremacy with colonial, capitalist and patriarchal elements. The situation was studied based on the theories of post-abyssal thinking of the sociologist Boaventura de Sousa Santos to identifythe motives behind the subject’s choice of migration. The case of the individual’s mobility during the migratory act was studied on the basis of the network capital theory of sociologist John Urry and Anthony Elliot associating it with the concept of motility written by sociologist Vincent Kaufmann. In the methodological framework, a single case study of a migrant subject who left Brazil with the purpose of seeking quality of life overseas was carried out. As a result of research, we realize that the subject's life situation when crossing the borders has been enriched in the face of an increase in social relations and the conquest of a social emancipation that is currently ona state of ascension. This work does not seek a solution to the problem described, but rather a reflection of the current situation in which Brazil finds itself, a country that before was the stage of immigration and today finds itself as a country of expulsion.Item Música canavial entre a indústria cultural e a cultura popular: Estudo sobre um fenômeno híbrido da zona da mata norte de PE(2019) Silva, Lucas Elias Arcelino; Souza, Cláudio Morais de; Oliveira, Daniel Figueiredo de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7616338547377380; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9245887717292317; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7687052596132322This study aims to analyze a cultural phenomenon that has been developing inthe North Woods Zone, it is named as canavial music. Paraphrasing Canclini (2015), it is possible to say that today all cultures are from border. Nevertheless, a border presupposes at least two boundary territories; in this sense the theoretical limits that we set out to analyze were those ofthe Cultural Industry and Popular Culture. The methodology followed a qualitative way of ethnographic inspiration and it consisted of discreet observations of the spaces provided by the cultural scene in question, interviews with the artists that compose it and documentary analysis of sites and lyrics from the songs related to the theme. As a final result, it was concluded that the canavial music is hybrid expression which, in addition to being simply a musical rhythm, it provides socializing environments with greatcreative effervescence, and it carries itself the coexistence of contradictory elements that are capable of generating images that promote the limits of several pairs of opposition: rural x urban, massive x popular, merchandise x art, subaltern x hegemonic etc...Item "Não tenho religião, sou discípulo de Jesus": uma análise antropológica sobre o "Movimento Caminho da Graça -Estação Casa Forte"(2019) Silva, Lucas Luiz Rocha Ferreira da; Silva, Maria Auxiliadora Gonçalves da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1540473468896261; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3163172105436424This monograph aims to analyze the motivations of the subjects who broke with traditional religiosities by seeking the ―Movimento Caminho da Graça (CDG)‖ -Movement Way of Grace -as a new religious experience. Religion has alwaysbeen present in people’s lives, as well as it has always been a category present in social studies. In the contemporary world, the relationship with the divine is still in evidence in people's lives. We start from the premise that some people no longer connect with the religious discourse and practices of some traditional religions since they believe that those practices block some lifestyles and do not match with Christ's postulates. This study is a result of an ethnographic research realised in an agencyfrom the CDG, known as Estação Casa Forte -Casa Forte's Station -, located in the city of Recife, during the months of August and November of 2019. To analyze this case, we worked with the concept of religious belonging and disaffection, as well as the comprehension of a religious non-determination, along with the presence of a religiosity in the people's experiences who frequent the Casa Forte's Station. Based on this, this study indicates that the CDG it's a religious phenomenon insurgent of the existing complexity in the contemporary world.Item Religião, procedimentos disciplinares e terapêuticos no tratamento de dependentes químicos na Casa de Recuperação Cristo Liberta, Igarassu, PE(2019) Pinto, Marcio Correia de Oliveira; Aquino, Rosa Maria de; Silva, Maria Auxiliadora Gonçalves da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1540473468896261; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7663893470581900; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8429808621344469With the problem of drugs in Brazil, whether legal or illegal, one can see the increase in consumption and dependence, which has become one of the biggest scourges of modern society, affecting thousands of people. In this context the Therapeutic Communities appear as an important treatment option for chemical dependents. And there is a wide presence of religious institutions that have the Therapeutic Communities as a proposal of care, reception and treatment of drug addiction, having as main forms of action, rehabilitation, evangelism and religious conversion. The Confessional Therapeutic Communities conceive a model of treatment centered on abstinence, reading, prayer and discipline. The present work has as general objective, the observation of the therapeutic and disciplinary procedures of the House of Recovery Christ Liberta, a Therapeutic Community of religious character, in the locality of Cuieiras, rural zone of the municipality of Igarassu, and that concentrates its activities in the service to users , especially of illicit drugs, with the identification of these procedures, verifying the influence of Pentecostalism in this treatment and drawing a socioeconomic profile of the students of the House. The data presented here were collected between August and December 2018, being used to achieve the objective of this work, field research in loco, observation not participant, semi structured interviews and bibliographic survey. The themes of drugs and their developments were explored with a description of the Therapeutic Communities, the laws and decrees that regulate them, as well as an approach to Religion emphasizing Pentecostalism, with a brief history of its origins and its progress in view of a relevant branch of Protestantism; besides the concepts of sacred, profane and sects, which converge around the religious practices of the House. As theorists were chosen Robert King Merton and his concept of "manifest and latent functions," "The role performance theory"; the concept of "Religion" by Max Weber, Émile Durkheim, Rubem Alves, and the concepts of "Discipline" and "Power" by Michel Foucault and Peter Berger, as data analysis and interpretation tools of the research object. And despite the controversies surrounding what would be the ideal type of treatment, the relevance of the role played by the Casa de Recuperação Cristo Liberta was identified, helping the public power to solve a serious social problem such as chemical dependence and its effects, with results that were the inspiration for this workItem Monogatari virtual: cultura otaku, narrativas e discursos online(2019) Lopes, Lucas Rodrigo Belo; Assis, Rodrigo Vieira de; Oliveira, Daniel Figueiredo de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7616338547377380; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8735573786326770; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6813678713628873This work aimed to analyze the relationships between fictional narratives and the discourses of the individuals involved with the otaku culture in Brazilian cyberspace. In order to carry out this task, it was discussed about the otaku culture, showingits origin, the context that allowed its emergence, the processes involved with this phenomenon and its characteristics when establishing itself in Brazil. In sequence, the narrative was treated as its social function and decline, also treating aboutthe fictional narratives that are part of the otaku medium. Finally, we report the empirical experience that has taken place through the Video Quest channel on the Youtube video platform, concluding by describing the existence of three distinct models of interaction between fictional narratives and discourses emitted within this cyberspace.Item Quilombolas, representações sociais: um estudo sobre a cultura e história afrodescendentes(2019) Marçal, Regina Pontes; Silva, João Gilberto de Farias; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8962702831748942; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0612841048168913Brazil was the country that most incorporated the form of slave production in the world with the largest slave colony in the world.
