Item Hidroginástica e qualidade de vida em busca do envelhecimento saudável com foco em pessoas idosas(2024-09-30) Santos, Jéssica Tamara de Sena; Lindoso, Rosângela Cely Branco; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3076590717855221; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9636472847494731The present research aims to analyze how water aerobics influences the quality of life of elderly people during the process of healthy aging. Given the high growth of this population group in Brazil, concerns about the health of the elderly arise. The theoretical references addressed significant approaches related to the topic, including authors such as Bonachela (1994), Nahas (2017), and Meneses (2021), who have published books in this area, demonstrating broad knowledge and contribution to the construction of important points discussed. The methodology used was through a bibliographic review, with a qualitative approach and an exploratory social research aspect. We used scientific articles to complement the understanding of the relevant dimensions demanded by water aerobics, with in-depth and enriching clarifications. The research of scientific articles was conducted on the SciELO, CAPES, and LILACS platforms, using the search descriptors: "Water aerobics" and "quality of life," from which several articles were obtained, and only those that belonged to the thematic area addressed were selected. Therefore, after the analyses carried out in this study, we can conclude that water aerobics plays a fundamental role in addressing physiological, psychological, and social issues, as it involves lifestyle changes for the elderly, correlating with benefits that help combat chronic diseases, cardiovascular, postural, respiratory, and psychological problems. Water aerobics has become synonymous with quality of life, making aging a less difficult and more enjoyable phase of life.Item A hidroginástica e os impactos na melhoria da saúde e qualidade de vida dos idosos(2023-09-06) Lopes, Guilherme Soares; Lindoso, Rosângela Cely Branco; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3076590717855221; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6898690352812735Water aerobics offers a gentle environment for exercising, minimizing the impact on joints and allowing older people to perform movements comfortably. Furthermore, physical exercise in water defines an intervention strategy for health promotion with positive repercussions in the area of public health. The research seeks to answer the following question: “What are the impacts of water aerobics on the health and quality of life of the elderly?” To this end, we set the objective of analyzing the contributions of water aerobics to improving the health and quality of life of the elderly. The research is a literature review with a qualitative approach. A digital platform used by Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo) as a reference source. The descriptors used were the following: Water aerobics; Elderly; Health. The Booleans AND and OR were used to create the descriptor indices. The results found are four articles that addressed the review topic. Through an in-depth analysis of the articles, it was possible to gain a greater understanding of the importance of water aerobics in the lives of elderly people. We conclude that fit elderly people, guided by health professionals and after evaluating their individual requirements, should adopt water aerobics as a valuable means of improving their quality of life.Item Benefícios e contribuições da prática da hidroginástica para a saúde e qualidade de vida da pessoa idosa: um estudo de produções científicas brasileiras(2023-04-28) Soares, Larissa Kênia Alves Pessoa; Lindoso, Rosângela Cely Branco; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3076590717855221With the constant growth of the elderly population in Brazil and the search for hydrogymnastics as a physical activity, the question arises about the benefits and contributions that the practice of hydrogymnastics brings to the lives of the elderly. The objective of this research is to analyze the most recent Brazilian scientific production about the practice of hydrogymnastics as a physical activity for the elderly, seeking to understand the contributions of hydrogymnastics in the lives of the elderly, as well as the possible benefits of the practice of hydrogymnastics in relation to flexibility, autonomy, prevention of joint pain, socialization, and quality of life . The method used in this study was an exploratory research on the subject of hydrogymnastics and the elderly, in SciELO, LILACS, Google Scholar, and in the following journals: Revista Brasileira de Educação Física e Esporte, Da Teoria à Prática - Saúde, Educação e Movimento, Revista Brasileira de Ciências dos Esportes, and Revista Brasileira de qualidade de vida. The descriptors used were "Hydrogymnastics", "Elderly", and "quality of life". These search terms were also combined to obtain more precise results: "hydrogymnastics + elderly", "hydrogymnastics + motivation", "elderly + hydrogymnastics + quality of life". The search filter used was articles published within the last 10 years. Thus, we conclude that the practice of hydrogymnastics has proven effective for the elderly, bringing various benefits to the aging process, providing improvements in physiological aspects such as the relief of pain and symptoms of joint diseases, in cardiovascular adaptation and improvement of the respiratory system, as well as improving the quality of life of the elderly practitioner due to the increase in their physical capacity and the gain of autonomy in performing their daily activities.Item Implicações da pandemia COVID-19 na prática de atividades físicas em idosos do Programa de Atenção Integral à Saúde do Idoso (PAISI)(2021-12-07) Amaral, Geane Conceição do; Tavares, Nayana Pinheiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0916330104621989; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4814709011824058The year 2020 was marked by the COVID-19 pandemic, and the virus detected in China in 2019 was called SARS-CoV-2. From the measures of social distancing to contain the virus, there was a tendency for physical activity practices to be changed. With the change in everyone's routine, due to social distance, there was a change in physical activities that cannot be practiced in public and private spaces. This social distancing can favor the appearance of psychosocial illnesses, in addition to aggravating physical problems due to lack of physical activities. After the measures of social distancing, there was a reduction in the practice of physical activities, which was even greater for people from risk groups. Human aging is faced in different ways, depending on the societies and culture of each people. The human aging process cannot be changed, but this is influenced by physical inactivity. The practice of physical activity in old age is a determining factor for the maintenance of health and functional independence. Through quantitative research of descriptive statistical nature through the application of an online questionnaire, prepared on the Google Forms platform containing 10 questions that sought to identify how the COVID-19 pandemic impacted the physical activity practices of the elderly in the comprehensive care program for the health of the elderly, as well as the impact caused by the social distancing caused by the new coronavirus pandemic caused in the performance of these activities during the period of social isolation, required by the COVID-19 pandemic. We contacted the elderly via WhatsApp, explained the research objectives, where 10 of them agreed to answer the questionnaire. As a result, we found that the pandemic had an impact on the physical activity practices of the elderly in the Comprehensive Elderly Health Care Program and that the participants changed their habits considerably during this period. We must reflect on the possibilities of seeking new strategies and reorganizing physical activities. Technologies can be great allies in providing social support networks.Item Vivências da prática de hidroginástica no Compaz Ariano Suassuna: uma experiência com idosos(2018-08-15) Silva, Maria Marluce Sousa Gomes da; Lindoso, Rosângela Cely Branco; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3076590717855221; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2581762854102319This research aims to analyze the experience of water aerobics practiced by seniors enrolled in COMPAZ Ariano Suassuna. We start from the following question: What are the motives, benefits and degree of satisfaction of older water aerobics practitioners at COMPAZ Ariano Suassuna? In this sense, we start with the following objectives: General objective To analyze the experience of elderly water aerobics practitioners in COMPAZ Ariano Suassuna and specific objectives, to analyze how this knowledge has been produced through the bibliographical review on the practice of water aerobics by the elderly; to identify the motives, benefits and degree of satisfaction of the water aerobics practice performed at COMPAZ Ariano Suassuna; to compare the empirical field data collected in COMPAZ Ariano Suassuna with the literature review. In the development of the research we used the case study methodology, with descriptive method, with 11 elderly people investigated about the reasons, the benefits, the degree of satisfaction and the evaluation of the practice of water aerobics in the COMPAZ Ariano Suassuna. With the bibliographical review, we present three categories of analysis on the practice of water aerobics by the elderly, being: improvement in health, well-being, medical treatment. Comparing the data of the review with those collected in the field, we noticed that the categories resemble each other. Thus, the practice of water aerobics is sought by the majority of the elderly due to improvements in physical, psychological and social health; while in terms of benefits more than 50% consider to have improvements in health due to pain and self esteem, mainly; when asked by the degree of satisfaction almost all the elderly consider the classes of aqua gymnastics very satisfactory for their life; and when they evaluate these classes offered by Recife's City Sports and Leisure Program (PELC), they consider the great majority to be excellent and good. Thus, we realized that the practice of water aerobics by the elderly is of paramount importance to improve their health, to provide their well-being and to obtain medical treatment, as well as the aqua aerobics classes offered by the PELC social program in the COMPAZ Ariano Suassuna were well evaluated.
