Where 1152 hours (20%) are allocated to theoretical and/or theoretical-practical activities and 4608 hours (80%) to practical activities, distributed over 60 hours per week. 100% attendance is required for practical activities and a minimum of 85% attendance for theoretical activities. The residency completion work aims to report all activities experienced during the 2 years of the program, both in the concentration area (veterinary anesthesiology), carried out at the Veterinary University Hospital of the Department of Veterinary Medicine of the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (HVU-DMV/UFRPE), and in public health, conducted in the municipality of Exu, Pernambuco. Furthermore, it also aims to present the case report entitled: Blockade of the sciatic nerve (parasacral approach) and the femoral nerve (pre-iliac approach) in five dogs, as an alternative to epidural anesthesia, for orthopedic surgical procedures.Item Utilização do neurolocalizador em bloqueio locorregional dos nervos isquiático e femoral – Relato de caso(2019-12-11) Santos, Joana Luiza Crispiniano Cunha; Tenório, Ana Paula Monteiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1785548386077618; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6063725332167306The Compulsory Supervised Internship corresponds to a compulsory subject that belongs the curriculum of the Veterinary Medicine Course of the Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco. The internship must be carried out in up to two areas of veterinary medicine, and the student must complete a compulsory workload of 420 hours. From the completion of the supervised internship in the area in which it is intended to act, the student is allowed to experience practical experiences, in which apply the knowledge acquired during graduation. This work is a partial requirement to obtain a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine degree, and was carried out under the guidance of PhD. Ana Paula Monteiro Tenório. The first part of this work describes the activities developed in the area of Veterinary Anesthesiology of the Hospital de Medicina Veterinária da Universidade Federal da Bahia (Salvador-BA) and Hospital Veterinário Pet Dream (Recife-PE) from august to november of 2019, and in the second part a case report accompanied during the internship, referring to the use of the neurolocalizer in locoregional block of the sciatic and femoral nerves.
