    A arte de uma margem distante: O “Festival de Artes Pão e Tinta” na favela do Pina (2015 – 2022)

    The International Bread and Paint Arts Festival has been held annually since 2012 in the Pina Favela, in Recife, Pernambuco. The event opens a public selection every year to welcome graffiti artists, musicians, and volunteers who typically engage for five days in a kind of "arts carnival," featuring street graffiti, concerts, and social actions such as hairdressing, braiding, and turban tying, among others. As an independent cultural production, it was conceived as an alternative for the youth of Pina, working on the revitalization of public spaces in the community, thus becoming our main tool in defense of our territory, threatened by real estate speculation. Art emerges from one of Recife's most neglected areas by the government and breaks through the statistics as an alternative for young people to envision a future away from violence, drugs, and crime. With this article, we aim to construct an experiential narrative that problematizes and questions the importance of this activity within a reality of exclusive public institutionalization of artistic/cultural spaces only in the elitized areas of Recife City, demonstrating that peripheral organizations already fulfill this role, addressing this deficit with little or no resources.

    Religião e religiosidade da juventude universitária da UFRPE, Campus Dois Irmãos, Recife/PE, em tempos pandêmicos

    This research aims to understand how the university youth of the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco / Campus Dois Irmãos, experienced religion and religiosity as a support, to face the pandemic crisis. The theoretical references used are based on research by Regina Novaes, Jorge Cláudio Ribeiro, Camurça, Groppo, Silva and others, who have contributed to reflections and analyzes about youth, its relationships with religion. The field research was carried out at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco / Campus SEDE, with young people of different ages, genders and undergraduate courses and different semesters. To carry out this study, a qualitative approach was used, the ethnographic method, in addition to participant observation techniques and semi-structured interviews. Through field research, it was possible to verify that religion and religiosity were used as support by these young people, to face the pandemic crisis.

    Rede Saúde na Escola: tecendo as teias dos saberes na promoção da qualidade de vida

    O projeto de extensão busca incorporar a discussão de saúde na escola, através da exposição de filmes do Cine Debate , visando articular e construir conhecimentos, saberes e orientações na perspectiva de formação de redes entre professores/as, estudantes e profissionais de saúde, de diversas Instituições/Organizações referentes à área e temática apresentada, promover a melhoria da qualidade de vida dos/as adolescentes-estudantes de escolas públicas de Recife. Podemos dizer que algumas questões norteiam e sustentam a necessidade de discutir essa temática nas escolas, tais como: a) o próprio alargamento e resultado positivo que a promoção desses debates sobre Políticas Públicas de Saúde, Sexualidade e Gênero proporciona aos/as estudantes; b) a importância da prevenção como um fator fundamental no processo saúde-doença desses/as jovens e c) o aumento do número de jovens que iniciam a vida sexual muito mais precocemente na contemporaneidade e que por isso necessitam de orientações sobre a saúde reprodutiva. Sendo assim, esse tipo de proposta de “rede de saberes sobre saúde na escola” pode aproximar a juventude de diversas faixas etárias e diferentes condições sociais, através da orientação, levando-os/as a reflexão sobre suas práticas, na medida em que se identificam nas realidades expostas nos filmes apresentados e debatidos no projeto.

    O protagonismo juvenil da AIESEC: uma experiência internacional no chão do Nordeste

    This thesis deals with young people and their relationship with society as protagonists who assume the roles of social actors. For this we take as reference the experience of a youth organization called Aiesec. In the theoretical field the work is based on the "Sociology of the Youth", as formulated by Karl Mannheim and later researchers. The main objective of the research is to demonstrate how and if Aiesec contributes to the practice of youthful protagonism through its discourse and actions. In order to understand and reflect on this matter, authors such as Antonio Carlos Gomes da Costa and Regina Magalhães Souza contributed to the debate of youth protagonism in contemporary times. The method adopted in this research was qualitative methodology, using semi-structured interviews and participant observation. As for the hypothesis, it was confirmed by the analysis of the data collected, so it was possible to find evidence that Aiesec provides and stimulates environments where youths can exercise their protagonist capacity, occupy spaces of decision and act as transforming agents in diverse spheres of society.
