Item Análise da eficiência do mercado futuro e spot de milho no contexto regional dos anos de 2018 a 2022: os casos de São Paulo, Pernambuco e Bahia(2024-02-20) Silva, Marcos Vinicius Neri da; Melo, André de Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8808755622712441; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6505040676007325This study analyzed the efficiency of the corn futures market in the states of Bahia, Pernambuco, and São Paulo from 2018 to 2022, highlighting the significance of corn in the national economy, both in the domestic market and in exports. Employing the Engle-Granger cointegration test and the ECM model, the research focused on the time series of future contracts and spot prices in Bahia, Pernambuco, and São Paulo. The aim was to ascertain whether the futures market reflects reality and accurately predicts prices in these regions, in accordance with Eugene Fama's Efficient Market Hypothesis (1970). The findings indicated that future prices are effective in predicting spot prices, demonstrating that, despite some short-term adherence limitations, the futures market serves as a reliable predictor in the context of corn trading in these locations.Item Desindustrialização brasileira entre 1998 a 2018: uma análise empírica(2021-12-17) Souza, Rafael Lima de; Oliveira, Isabel Cristina Pereira de; Souto, Keynis Cândido de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0393274407907348; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4745142041015422Deindustrialization is one of the stages of a nation’s economic development progress, that is, by reaching a specific level of per capita income and economic maturity that includes good productivity and reasonable infrastructure, the deindustrialization has positive aspects. However, when deindustrialization occurs before these events, it will have negative effects on the country’s economy. Deindustrialization has an assertive effect on the industrial sector, with industrial employment, industrial product and the income-elasticity of demand for industrial products being elements that can demonstrate such a process, in addition to the income-elasticity of demand for services. The research seeks to analyze factors that may evidence a deindustrialization process in Brazil from 1998 to 2018. In this research, evidences of deindustrialization were analyzed through econometric models, observing industrial employment, industrial product and income-elasticity of demand for industrial products and services. The conclusion is that even with shocks in the analyzed time series, there is no evidence of deindustrialization between 1998 and 2018.Item Delegacias especializadas e a redução da violência contra a mulher: uma análise a partir da teoria econômica do crime(2021-02-18) Silva, Denise Honorato Lopes da; Silva, Diego Firmino Costa da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8895265465747877; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8424428403375211This work sought to analyze the effect of the Specialized Police Station for Assistance to Women (DEAM) on the Rate of Intentional Lethal Violent Crimes in Female Victims (TXFCVLI) in Brazilian municipalities from 2004 to 2016.
