    Ensino de História & história local: a constituição de um jornal digital na Escola de Referência Estadual Mardônio Coelho, Bomba do Hemetério, Recife - PE

    This study explores the potential of integrating Local History into History education through a pedagogical proposal for the creation of a digital newspaper in the neighborhood of Bomba do Hemetério, in Recife, Pernambuco. The main objective is to analyze how the appreciation of Local History can enhance teaching and connect students with their community. Using a qualitative approach and the action research method, the study is based on the interpretation of primary and secondary sources to examine the impact of collaboration between the school and the community. The focus is on the Mardônio Coelho State School of Reference, the only public high school in the neighborhood, and the impact of introducing the digital newspaper "Bomba Cultural" as a pedagogical tool. The results show that the integration of local history into the school curriculum, through the newspaper, promotes greater student engagement and a deeper understanding of their cultural and historical identity. The study highlights the importance of collaboration between the school and the community for a more contextualized and meaningful education.

    Práticas de educação integral na perspectiva da interação entre a escola e a comunidade no município de Jaboatão dos Guararapes - PE

    This research work sought to investigate the perceptions of teachers of a municipal school in the Comportas neighborhood in Jaboatão dos Guararapes-PE, which offers Comprehensive Education, About the impacts that this causes on the local development of their community. This being the general objective. To this end, a qualitative research was carried out, using the Case Study as a methodology and as an instrument for the collection of semi-structured highlighted data with some teachers who work on the projects that the school offers to students and the community. The data were trained to highlight the different impacts that the school has in its community; characterize how this relationship happens and discuss how Integral Education, both as a policy and as a concept of education, can affect these issues. The differences also revealed different perspectives of the teachers about the social character of the school and and the concept of Integral Education.

    Educação e comunidade: análise das trajetórias escolares exitosas de duas alunas egressas de uma escola municipal da comunidade Entra Apulso

    The objective of this work was to analyze the influence of the “Entra apulso” community municipal school in the school trajectory of two female students, and as specific objectives to describe the life histories of two female students of the institution and their school development and to understand the influence of school agents in the academic formation of egressed students. In this sense, we sought to examine the influence of education on the successful personal and professional experiences of two egressed students, in unfavorable social contexts, of a public school located in a low-income community, where they reside. The research sought to highlight the magnitude of education for the formation of the subject and their preparation for citizenship, their professional qualification, and especially for overcoming social inequalities, constitution of their identity, and participation in the construction and modification of society. For this, it was based on the following authors: Fonseca (2011), Brandão (2001), Silva (2010), Freire (2000), Santiago (2006), Meirieu (2005), among others. The methodology used in the research was the oral history, of qualitative character and used as the main instrument of data collection the partially structured interview. Two egressed students were interviewed, using the technique of oral history, in order to understand through their eyes what is the performance of education and school in their personal and professional lives. In the life story of the egress student Daniela, we noticed the remarkable influence of the Municipal school throughout its school trajectory, not only while she was studying at school in the early years, but also by the relationship that she maintained over the years resulting from the Institution. Maria's life story, on the other hand, points to a strong connection with the Entra Apulso community and also with the municipal school.

    Gestão democrática e conselho escolar: a participação da comunidade nos processos de decisão numa escola municipal de Olinda – PE

    This research is the result of an investigative process carried out on a Olinda’s (PE) municipal school. The purpose of this research was to analyze the community participation in the School Council (SC), identifying its influence on the processes of decision of the current school management. Based on the assumptions of the Case Study of descriptive and interpretive aim, the study was carried out by way of a systematic observation of the SC’s meetings and of the semi-structured interviews with the representatives of each active segment. It was sought to comprehend the meanings and the importance that the counselors attribute to the SC’s role as a space for the effective participation in the configuration of the processes of democratization of the management and of the school. To analyze the data, it was chosen the methodology of Content Analysis, that made it possible to identify the conceptions of management and participation, as well as the spaces and the forms of participation and decision of the interviewed representatives, contributions and influences on decisions in the school management. The results indicate that the conceptions of management and participation present among the members of the observed SC are close to the socio-critical perspective of school management, wich foresees the participation of all involved in the formal and non-formal spaces of the SC. It was possible to verify the knowledge level of the educative community about the function, limits and possibilities of the counselors proceeding in this decision-making instance. However, despite the legal advances and the participatory practices in management decentralization processes, there was a need for training of the counselors to better understand the effective political participation among representatives and the SC’s strengthening.
