Item Vidas financeiras: a influência das heurísticas e vieses no comportamento para o superendividamento(2021-02-22) Silva, Genilda Karla Nobre da; Albuquerque, Hortência Cruz de; Melo, Jaqueline Ferreira Holanda de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0639256942534141; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4316127961561473; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7054065410080769Among the consequences of certain consumption behaviors, over-indebtedness has been presented as one of the main dilemmas for Brazilians in these first two decades of the 21st century. Therefore, the general objective of this work was to understand the financial lives of consumers who are or have been in over-indebtedness. Regarding the methodological procedures, the present work has an exploratory-descriptive character of a qualitative nature. For the collection of primary data, on-site observation was carried out and a form was made available on the Google Forms platform. Based on what was observed, we can consider that schooling is not synonymous with financial education, income, its source and amount, together with the number of people who live together, despite not being determining factors in over-indebtedness, can help to worsen both default and quality of life. We hope that this work will contribute to the creation of effective programs to prevent over-indebtedness, protection and consumer education, with a view to influencing financial health and, consequently, improving the quality of life of citizens.Item Relato de experiência de estágio no Procon Estadual de Pernambuco: a vulnerabilidade dos consumidores endividados através do uso do cartão de crédito(2020-11-09) Silva, Deiseane Ferreira da; Albuquerque, Hortência Cruz de; Melo, Juliana Cristina das Chagas de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2650006090499628; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4316127961561473; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7601308386277941Item Endividamento entre jovens universitários: insights sobre educação financeira na Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco (UFRPE)(2020-10-20) Silva, Otoniel Galdino da; Albuquerque, Hortência Cruz de; Silva, Laurileide Barbosa da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7869325906861017; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4316127961561473; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4888246035519447With increasing globalization, the significance of consumption has even greater proportions, reaching all social groups. The most vulnerable to the appeal of advertising are children and young people, many of them in school and others entering higher education, but not always financially educated. This research aimed to investigate the indebtedness among young university students at UFRPE and the ways of accessing Financial Education. The work was developed by a methodology conducted through a qualitative and quantitative research through a survey carried out among young people from different courses of the Higher Education Institution during the month of August 2020, where the data were collected through an electronic questionnaire. applied to a sample composed of 81 enrolled students. To meet the general objective, several variables were used for the analysis, such as the socioeconomic profile, the experiences with Financial Education before and after entering higher education, the consumption profile, the behaviors in relation to finance, among others. As a result, the research identified that despite the pandemic of COVID-19, it appears that young university students at UFRPE are not very prone to debt, or at least in their perception, most do not consider themselves indebted. Of those who consider themselves indebted and also over-indebted (27.2% and 11.1%, respectively), the most common type of debt is the credit card (51.9%). It was generally perceived that students consider it important for UFRPE to have courses and lectures on financial education, as forms of access to knowledge.Item Consumidores/as endividados/as e a cidadania financeira: os dilemas consumeristas dos/as usuários/as do Proendividados(2020-10-10) Barros, Naylline Hills de Albuquerque; Albuquerque, Hortência Cruz de; Silva, Laurileide Barbosa da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7869325906861017; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4316127961561473; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1375627667531678The supply of credit to the Brazilian population has grown significantly in recent years. However, the context in which this inclusion in the financial market took place brought alarming rates of family indebtedness. This problem aroused interest in promoting actions aimed at its prevention, as well as improving the relationship between individuals and finances. One of the institutions that comprised the proposal was the Central Bank of Brazil, aiming to spread financial citizenship, a concept recently discussed, which refers to the exercise of the rights and duties of individuals with regard to financial life. Financial citizenship is supported by a context of financial inclusion and education, consumer protection, and participation in the dialogue with the National Financial System. In this sense, the experience lived as a volunteer student, in the Program for the Treatment of Super-indebted Consumers (PROENDIVIDADOS) guided the accomplishment of this work, which had as its proposed objectives: to analyze financial citizenship in the daily life of indebted consumers and, specifically, to characterize the profile of users of PROENDIVIDADOS, identifying the main problems presented by consumers and assessing the exercise of financial citizenship based on the experiences of users of PROENDIVIDADOS. The methodological path adopted was based on the qualitative approach, with participant observation as an instrument of data collection. The results show that the consumers served by PROENDIVIDADOS, most of them are retired and that they have been exercising financial citizenship in a precarious way, mainly due to the way in which they are financially included, without access due to financial education and weakened in your protection. However, these factors show the urgency of actions that expand access to financial citizenship, in its broadest sense, a job to be carried out continuously and systematically, through the cooperation of different bodies, whether public or private, with the due responsibility of the State.
