Item Pesquisa de Salmonella spp. em queijos de coalho comercializados em feiras livres de Garanhuns - PE(2018-02-23) Claudino, Aline Raaby Ferreira; Mendonça, Marcelo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6861139703424532The “coalho” cheese is a handmade cheese highly produced and consumed in the northeastern region of Brazil. Although the production and selling of this product is regulated by state and federal regulations, informal manufacturing and sale are quite common. Among the pathogenic microorganisms, Salmonella spp. is one of the main agents of foodborne diseases and should be absent in products of animal origin. The objective of the present work was to perform the detection of Salmonella spp. in “coalho” cheeses from street fairs the Garanhuns – PE. Twelve samples of “coalho” cheese, marketed in open fairs in six districts of the city, were evaluated during the months of November and December 2017. The samples were transported in isothermal boxes with recyclable ice to the food microbiology laboratory of CENLAG at UAG-UFRPE. The detection of Salmonella spp. was performed using the standard isolation method, along with the immunochromatographic Singlepath Salmonella rapid test (Merck-Millipore), according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Initially, 25g of each sample was added in 225mL of Buffered Peptone Water (APT), and incubated for 24h at 37 °C. After, 0.1mL of APT broth was added in 10mL Rappaport-Vassiliadis broth (RV) and then incubated for approximately 18h at 42 °C. At the end of this period, RV broths showing turbidity were used to perform the Singlepath Salmonella rapid test. In parallel, RV broth samples were plated on Xylose Lysine Deoxycholate (XLD) and Hektoen Enteric (HE) agar plates, the characteristic colonies being submitted to biochemical tests of Triple Iron Sugar (TSI), Iron Lysine (LIA) and Urease. Finally, the isolates colonies were submitted to the serology test for confirmation. The presence of Salmonella spp. was confirmed in 66.7% (8/12) of the rennet cheese samples analyzed using conventional analysis, according to the Singlepath Salmonella (Merck-millipore) test 83.33% (10/12) of the samples were positive for Salmonella spp.. The high occurrence of Salmonella spp. in cheeses marketed at the Garanhuns fairs, shows a great concern for public health. As well as, it shows the lack of adoption of good manufacturing practices in the preparation of the product, which together with the precarious conditions of hygiene, storage and lack of refrigeration in the commercialization thereof, culminate in the compromise of its microbiological quality.Item Ixodidofauna e pesquisa de Babesia spp. em carrapatos coletados em eqüídeos provenientes do Agreste Meridional de Pernambuco(2018-07-11) Santos, Marcos Antônio Bezerra; Carvalho, Gílcia Aparecida de; Ramos, Rafael Antonio do Nascimento; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2384915943197683; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0551309365838136; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1969054260766795Item Avaliação radiográfica e ultrassonografia intervencionista no paciente com trauma por arma de fogo: relato de caso(2018-07-12) Oliveira Neta, Iraci Cordeiro de; Oliveira, Daniela; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3131239010322400Item Perdas econômicas por abscessos sugestivos de reação à vacina contra febre aftosa em bovinos abatidos no Mato Grosso do Sul, Brasil(2018-07-16) Silva, Tâmara Vitória Claudiano; Franque, Marcos Pinheiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1695836763549468; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8750644247954968Item Cistolitíase canina: relato de caso(2018-07-23) Macario, Ícaro Luan Gomes; Oliveira, Daniela; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5449502308737669Item Efeito do extrato de Abarema cochliacarpos na criopreservação de sêmen ovino(2018-08-02) Costa, Maria Clécia Machado; Carneiro, Gustavo Ferrer; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0903050581306709; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1491102753637689Item Principais parasitoses zoonóticas associadas ao consumo de salmonídeos no Brasil(2018-08-03) Oliveira, Géssica Bezerra de; Franque, Marcos Pinheiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1695836763549468; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2190113596747832Item Anestesia para procedimento odontológico em coelho doméstico (Oryctolagus cuniculus): relato de caso(2018-08-03) Rocha, Karen Barros da; Lorena, Sílvia Elaine Rodolfo de Sá; Menezes, Flávia Ferreira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8659871145469177; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4757148486343231Rabbits were classified as rodents until 1912, when the Lagomorpha order was recognized, since the lagomorphs can be distinguish from the rodents by having a second rudimentary pair of upper incisor teeth (peg teeth). Brazil has the second largest pet market in the world, behind only the United States. In the UK and other countries, it is the third most common pet. Dental diseases constitute 60% of the clinical conditions of rodents and lagomorphs, requiring the intervention of veterinarians. Despite the tame temperament, rabbits are easily stressful animals, which requires greater care by the veterinarian with physical restraint. The animal's own physical examination and imaging and treatment procedures require not only physical but chemical restraint, and even general anesthesia. Despite this, lagomorph anesthesia is relatively simple, since these animals are sensitive to most of the known drugs, presenting a rapid dose-response, although few studies report and discuss anesthetic protocols in this species, mainly in Brazil. However, the greatest challenge encountered by veterinary anesthetists is still the orotracheal intubation, due to their anatomical peculiarities, such as oropharynx, tongue and long and narrow incisor teeth and limited mobility of the temporomandibular joint, reasons for which several techniques have been developed over the years to subserve the procedure. Therefore, the aim of this study is to present a case report in which it was necessary to anesthetize a 6-year-old male pet rabbit with no defined breed to continue with overgrowth and malocclusion dental treatment, attended at the Veterinary Hospital UNESP-Botucatu Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science College.Item Fotossensibilização primária em ovino lacaune no Semiárido do Brasil: relato de caso(2018-08-10) Nazareno, José Lima; Dill, Matheus Dhein; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8267180115036305; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7002208963048863Item Cisto subcondral em côndilo medial do fêmur equino: relato de caso(2018-08-10) Lima, Gustavo Simões; Lucena, Jorge Eduardo Cavalcante; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5117398890386927; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3719013034230840The subchondral cysts of the medial condyle of the equine femur have a multifactorial etiology, most frequently affecting foals at the age of onset, but can be diagnosed in adult horses. This lesion is characterized by intermittent claudication, according to the level of exercise that the animal is undergoing, if it increases the effort and the frequency, surely the horse will manifest clinical sign. Radiography and ultrasonography are the complementary exams of greater application in the diagnosis of cystic lesions. There are two main therapeutic approaches, the conservative one, which consists of joint infiltration using corticosteroids associated with joint and invasive lubricants, which may be corticosteroid intralesional injection, arthroscopy debridement and transcondylar screw placement. The present study describes the occurrence of a subchondral cystic lesion in the medial condyle of the femur of a 9-year-old equine, who was treated through joint infiltration and showed clinical improvement, returning to sports successfully after 90 days of treatment.Item Persistência do ducto arterioso em um cão idoso da raça Poodle: relato de caso(2018-08-16) Medeiros, Hian Raphael Rodrigues de; Cardoso, Rita de Cássia Soares; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1676694610799764; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8507658180302786Item Uso de células tronco mesenquimais autólogas no tratamento de desmite do ligamento suspensor do boleto: relato de caso(2018-08-16) Borges, Paulo Henrique Alexandre; Carneiro, Gustavo Ferrer; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0903050581306709Item Insuficiência pancreática exócrina em cão: relato de caso(2018-08-17) Oliveira, Natalia da Silva; Coutinho, Tania Alen; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1916619528141219; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0927564014749778Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency is a syndrome caused by the deficiency on pancreatic enzymes’ synthesis and secretion. Clinical signs of this condition in dogs include polyphagia, increased fecal volume, yellowish stools, steatorrhea, weight loss, borborygmo and flatulence. Though there are several laboratory tests for the diagnosis of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, the gold standard diagnostic test is the trypsin-like immunoreactivity. Whereas therapeutic control of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency is fundamentally accomplished by the replacement of pancreatic enzymes associated to an easily digestible diet. Front of the incidence of this pathological condition at the dogs’ medical clinic, it is necessary to constantly update this subject by students and professional of veterinary area. Therefore, the aim of this monograph was to report a case of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency in a seven-year-old canine patient with a history of progressive weight loss, steatorrhea, and polyphagia. The diagnosis of the said case was established after trypsin-like immunoreactivity test submission, and the therapeutic control, instituted from enzymatic supplementation and dietary modification of the patient, resulted on the physiological formation of the feces and weight gain.Item Transfusão sanguínea em felinos domésticos: revisão de literatura(2018-08-17) Dutra, Fernando Odilon; Coutinho, Tania Alen; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1916619528141219; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0331705340183907Blood transfusion or hemotherapy is a formo f transplantation, which allows a donor to provide whole blood or blood components to a sick receiver, whose needs and disfunctions may be supplied or corrected. The main indications for hemotherapy in a feline patient are blood losses from trauma, anemia and coagulopathies. For the success of hemotherapy the donor selection according to its temperamento, health profile, updated immunization and body weight should be strictly followed, as well as, blood compatibility tests and/ or blood typing should be carried out before the blood transfusion, aiming to assure the health integrity of animals involved on hemotherapeutic process treatment. The monitoring of the recipient cat during and after the transfusion procedure is essential, since early intervention on eventual transfusion reactions may optimized the re-establishment of paciente health integrity. Given the importance of transfusion medicine in the clinical and surgical feline practice, it was aimed to review the presente theme.Item Doença degenerativa valvar mitral e de tricúspide com hipertensão pulmonar e disfunção sistólica secundária em cão: relato de caso(2018-08-20) Paz, Anderson Valdecy Sales da; Lorena, Sílvia Elaine Rodolfo de Sá; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8659871145469177; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0129089662400896Item Esporotricose em cão da raça cocker spaniel: relato de de caso(2018-08-22) Leal, Stphanie Larissa Ramos de Santana; Lorena, Sílvia Elaine Rodolfo de Sá; Araújo, Larissa de Carvalho; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8682095858385151; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8659871145469177; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9837796881056524Item Doença renal crônica em felino: relato de caso(2018-08-23) Silva, Lucelia Sant’ana; Souza, Rute Chamié Alves de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9397352788082287; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8022384878432889Item Urolitíase mista de fosfato de cálcio e urato de amônio em cadela Bassethound(2018-08-23) Gonçalves, Cristiane dos Santos; Souza, Rute Chamié Alves de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9397352788082287; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7196742558273851Item Mastite bovina: principais etiologias infecciosas e estratégica de controle(2018-08-27) Silva, Marcílio Jair Araujo; Coutinho, Tania Alen; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1916619528141219Mastitis in an inflammatory process of the mammary gland, the causes of which may include physical etiologies (mechanical traumas of the mammary structure or chemical injury from contact with corrosive substances), hormonal etiologies (pituitary disorders, for example) and infectious diseases (bacterial, yeast, viral infections). This condition in cattle causes great harm to dairy farmers, which corresponds to the reduction in the total milk production of the affected animal, milk discarding due to the use of antibiotics, expenses with medicines and veterinary fees, reduction of milk quality and, consequently, the reduction of the price paid by the dairy industries. Front of the problems caused by bovine mastitis, there is a need to combat it, and its prevention at critical points in pre-gate milk production is the best alternative to optimize the health and well-being of cows, as well as the costs and production profits. Therefore, it was the aim of this monograph to review the theme.
