O Estágio Supervisionado Obrigatório (ESO), realizado na empresa Guarabira Aves Guaraves LTDA em Guarabira - PB proporcionou essa oportunidade, permitindo a aplicação dos conhecimentos adquiridos em sala de aula e o desenvolvimento de habilidades essenciais para o exercício da profissão e sendo possível acompanhar o processo produtivo integrativo entre granjas de matrizes pesadas, incubatório, granjas de frango de corte, centro de processamento de ovos (CPO) e abatedouro. Durante o período de estágio, foram realizadas atividades como acompanhamento de reuniões gerenciais, manejo sanitário e nutricional das aves, monitoramento de parâmetros ambientais, avaliação da qualidade de pintos, controle de processos de incubação e supervisão da biosseguridade. Além disso, foi desenvolvida uma pesquisa comparativa sobre métodos de desinfecção de ovos embrionados e avaliados como férteis e seus efeitos na incubação, contribuindo para a otimização dos processos produtivos. Objetivou-se com esse relatório apresentar as atividades desenvolvidas durante as 420 horas do estágio no período de 01 de abril a 14 de junho de 2024, destacando a importância da vivência prática na formação do médico veterinário, a relevância da avicultura para a cadeia produtiva brasileira e os resultados da pesquisa realizada.Item Medidas de biosseguridade na indústria avícola de frango de corte e sua importância: revisão de literatura(2024-07-12) Silva, José Henrique Alves Nascimento e; Cavalcanti, Erika Fernanda Torres Samico Fernandes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5256493441853885; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9152875359968388The purpose of this work is to describe the activities carried out during the mandatory supervised internship (ESO), a required course for the completion of the Veterinary Medicine degree at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco. The internship was conducted in the sectors of Mauricéa Alimentos LTDA, Estrada de Limeira Grande, S/N – km 02 Rural Zone, Carpina-PE, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Érika Fernanda Torres Samico Fernandes Cavalcanti, from April 3, 2024, to July 14, 2024. During the internship, it was possible to participate in the routine of 5 different sectors of the company: the Feed Factory, the Breeding Unit, the Hatchery, the Integrated Farms, and the Slaughterhouse. This allowed for a comprehensive view of broiler chicken production, from feed to slaughter, observing all stages and the veterinarian's role in each. In all sectors, the necessity and effectiveness of biosecurity measures promoted by the company's employees were notable, demonstrating how crucial this factor is for poultry farming, animal production, and biosecurity. The objective of the internship was to monitor the activities of the broiler production chain through practical management activities in heavy breeder farms in the production of fertile eggs, in the hatchery the incubation process of fertile eggs and the birth and dispatch of chicks, in the broiler farms with poultry breeding and in the feed factory and laboratory for bromatological analysis in the production of feed used in poultry breeding. Elisa Alves Vilar, with a total workload of 420 hours, in the period from 08/30/2021 to 11/16/2021. Zootechnical Monitoring and Control of the Goats and Sheep Production System were carried out, involving management of facilities; food management; reproductive management; productive management; sanitary management and disposal management. This work aimed to report the main activities related to the experiences developed during the referred internship, in the goat and sheep production nucleus of CODAI-UFRPE, in the routine of raising goats and sheep. The production nucleus, mentioned above, has a fixed squad of 22 animals; being 10 goats and 10 sheep (parents); 01 goat and 01 ram (breeders), in addition to the offspring, calving, which occur during the breeding routine. The goats are predominantly of the Anglo-Nubiana breed, while the sheep come from the Santa Ines breed. The intensive production system, with an emphasis on animal welfare, is the method adopted by the production nucleus. The installations consist of suspended bays with slatted floors. Nutritional and food management is carried out in a balanced way with elephant grass pasture (Pennisetum purpureum) and supplemented with protein and mineral concentrate. The main diseases observed and treated during this period were some bacterial diseases such as caseous lymphadenitis, food poisoning, epidermatitis and parasitic diseases such as worms. Discards are carried out following the guidelines for the genetic and productive improvement of the herd. During this period the animals showed an average weekly weight gain ranging from 250g to 350g per animal (50g/day).
