    O papel do pedagogo nas casas de acolhimento institucional: um estudo de caso na cidade de Jaboatão dos Guararapes - PE

    The main goal of this research is to understand the role of a professional graduated in pedagogy in an institutional shelter for children and adolescents in the city of Jaboatão dos Guararapes – PE and, to achieve this main goal, had three specific objectives: characterize an institutional care home and how its organization is carried out, map which professionals work in this care home and what their functions are, and analyze the performance of the pedagogue in this institution. Regarding the methodology, the research is qualitative in nature and adopted a case study approach, having as instruments for data collection the total observation, the questionnaire and the semi-structured interview. We found that the institutional shelter studied is within practically all the national legal parameters required by the norms that govern the institution, which are the Technical Guidelines for the Welcoming Service for Children and Adolescents, in relation to its infrastructure and functioning of the service. However, it distances itself a little from these parameters in relation to employees, because their educators/caregivers do not have sufficient education or training. We believe that there are functions in the institution that could be better performed by a professional graduated in Pedagogy, therefore, we consider the presence of a pedagogue in the staff of the institutional shelters for children and adolescents to be essential. We also believe that in Pedagogy graduation college could have greater discussion in relation to work in non-school spaces.     Os “Meninos do Recife”: o olhar de Abelardo da Hora sobre o abandono de crianças e adolescentes (1960-1962)

    This paper aims to discuss the setbacks between the legal discourses of the Child Assistance Service (SAM) about abandoned and destitute children and the scenario of social vulnerability and violence experienced by children and adolescents, between 1960 and 1962, in the city from Recife. In a theoretical-methodological way, the work adopts the perspective of children and adolescents as historical. Therefore, in the first chapters, the work started from the historical contextualization of the creation of the Service and identified its internal problems and its goals of discipline and control, based on Foucault's studies. Then, in the third chapter, explained both the violent and repressive way that the SAM applied in Recife, using material from the Diário de Pernambuco, published throughout January 1960, which denounce the hospitalization of a teenager done in such a way. abusive and inappropriate. As well as, in the last chapter, based on the trajectory of Abelardo da Hora as an engaged artist and his artistic production as a social denunciation, he exposed the scenario of vulnerability that children and adolescents suffered from the analysis of engraving 22, from the Meninos do Recife series (1962), by the plastic artist. In this chapter, the theoretical and methodological aspects of the use of art in History, the conceptualization of intellectual being, the role of the artist in society, engaged and militant art, among others, will be deepened. In this way, the work intends to contribute to the historiography of childhoods so that children and adolescents can be considered as autonomous and protagonists of their own history. It also presents itself as relevant and innovative when identifying as setbacks between legislation and as different social realities of Recife from alternative and artistic sources, highlighting the importance of aesthetic-political education (GOMES, 2019) in the construction of historical awareness, leading to not only rationality counts, but also subjectivity, thus building a more humanized and less exclusive historiographical modus operandi.

    O projeto ações socioeducativas como estratégia de formação de valores, hábitos e atitudes de crianças e adolescentes

    This study aims to present the results of the evaluation of the activities carried out in the experience of Mandatory Supervised Internship (ESO) - lived in the period from 2015 to 2016 in the project Actions socioeducativas for children and adolescents of Elementary School of the public network of Recife-PE: in complementation of school and family action - and its impact on the integral development of children and adolescents in reducing school dropout and repetition; reduction of violence at school and in the family; formation of healthy eating habits in order to prevent obesity in childhood and adolescence. The path taken to reach these objectives associates activities of research, teaching, intervention, process monitoring and evaluation in order to evidence the impacts of the actions on the index of school performance and on the personal and social formation of the individuals involved in the action. The results show that in line with the project planning, the extension action met the proposed objectives, since it promoted the learning process in the desired aspects and the personal and social development of children and adolescents. In this perspective, the extension, articulated research and both to education, constituted a fundamental activity, not only as a principle, but also as social and educational practice, despite the limitation of financial resources, overcome with the participation of all involved, especially , with the performance of the students of the courses of Home Economics and Consumer Sciences / UFRPE. In this process, the University surpassed its walls and established the relation theory and practice, allowing the author of this study, trainee of the Project, student of the course of Home Economics, to experience the theory-practice relationship through teaching, research and extension, critical and conscious way. In addition, the action has effectively contributed to the promotion of integral development of children and adolescents, including effective impacts on school performance and behavior of the subjects involved.
