(2024-03-06) Barros, Tarciane Thaisa dos Santos; Pirauá, Natália Barros Beltrão; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1778511907021100
Gender issues permeate our society in several instances, and are also found in the educational sphere, where they are more noticeable in physical education classes. The fact that Rhythmic Gymnastics is a practice aimed exclusively for female athletes made this practice the focus of this research, where the aim was to understand “How gender issues related to rhythmic gymnastics have been discussed in Physical Education classes in high school?”. Eight teachers participated in the research voluntarily, four female and four male, employees of private and public institutions who responded to a digital questionnaire related to their understanding of gender issues and the treatment of this issue in their classroom. The results of the study showed that only a portion of the interviewers discussed gender issues through physical education classes with the theme of Rhythmic Gymnastics, in addition, the researchers found inconsistencies regarding their understanding of the topic, showing that it's necessary to have a deeper knowledge about the concept of gender.

“A mulher no século XX”: Plínio Salgado e a idealização feminina na ação integralista brasileira
(2024-02-28) Silva, Maria Eduarda Nascimento da; Silva, Giselda Brito; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2327404253426354; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1418185806600516
This historiographical work searches to understand the vision of the Integralist leader Plínio Salgado on the issue of women within the context of AIB based on the book “A Mulher no Século XX” (published in 1949) taking into account the female role in society in the 1930s, marked by the idea of women as mothers and wives, under the methodology of Discourse Analysis. Furthermore, we will seek to compare the idealization made in the 1949 book with the female presence in the founding document of the movement (Manifesto de Outubro de 1932) and the role of women in the Brazilian Integralist Action based on the journalistic analysis of the newspaper A Offensiva. We hope, from this research, to confirm the influence of the Catholic and conservative ideals, both in the precepts that Plínio Salgado uses as a basis when founding the Brazilian Integralist Movement, and in the actions of integralist women, also known as green blouses or “plinianas”.

This paper investigates through iconographic and bibliographic studies how two main characters from children's movies can act in the formation of women. School is seen as a place that can deconstruct limited views about gender issues. We observe the profile of the first and last Disney princesses, respectively, Snow White (1937) and Moana (2016) . The general objective of this paper is to analyze the representation of women in fairy tales. And our specific objectives are: Analyze two Disney princesses and their representations in the films and understand how these representations can influence the formation of the girl. The methodology developed was designed to understand the different roles that these princesses play in the productions. The results of the analysis point to the confirmation that these representations act directly on the formation of children's identity. And consequently, in the female identity.

We portrayed female personalities who were pioneers in the field and overcame obstacles, paving the way for others. We presented important awards received by female mathematicians, highlighting the little recognition they received when compared to that received by men. We demonstrated achievements that were made through collective mobilization and struggle and observed that we still have many challenges to face and overcome. With this research, the objective provoking a reflection on the need for recognition and appreciation of women mathematicians, as well as offer examples of initiatives aimed at overcoming the difficulties they face within a predominantly male universe.

The present work aims to reflect on gender representations in the fairy tale "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" in different versions and historical contexts based on gender studies. We conceptualize fairy tales, presenting their historical trajectory according to Santos et al. (2017) and Coelho (2000) and we point out aspects of their importance for the cognitive and socio-affective development of children through the contributions of the authors Coutinho and Rodrigues (2021) and Nogueira (2016), in addition to pointing out aspects of the stories from the perspective of Cultural Studies conceptualized by Santos (2015). Through the discussion of authors who bring a feminist perspective to research, such as Louro (1997), Scott (1995) Bento (2011), we establish the concept of gender used in research and how it is evidenced in popular fairy tales worldwide. The methodology used consisted of a qualitative content analysis approach, and, after contextualizing the works under analysis, we determined three categories: patterns of subjectivation of femininities, patterns of subjectivation of masculinities and gender relations. Two files were analyzed textually and iconographically, the first being the traditional version of the story and the second a contemporary version in audiobook format. We seek to point out characteristics in the works that reinforce stereotypes of genders and the relationships between them, also pointing out new networks of meanings for the production of femininities and masculinities that escape hegemonic standards in the most current work of short stories. We also highlight the importance of this study in teacher training, leading them to understand the complexities of gender identities and choose materials that promote diversity and inclusion. This allows educators to sensitize students to gender issues, challenge stereotypes, and create safe and respectful school environments.

(2022-02-17) Amorim, Anna Beatriz Borges de; Souza, Poema Isis Andrade de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2017359154121135; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1955792793217694
This monograph has as its object of study the labor market, which, historically, is marked by gender inequality in labor relations. Associated with this is the territorial extension and cultural diversity of Brazil, which results in different scenarios of gender inequality in the labor market of the same country. Through an exploratory analysis of secondary data from the Quarterly Continuous PNAD, we sought to analyze what the possible effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on women in the labor market, from 2020 to 2022, in order to understand the pre- and post-pandemic scenarios. For this, some variables were used: the unemployment rate, the reason why individuals did not look for work, the amount of hours actually worked, the individual's position in the occupation, among others. The results show that women were more vulnerable to the pandemic as they had a greater participation in the unemployment rate during this period. The relevance of this monograph is in showing the fragility of the Brazilian labor market by region and by gender, and how periods of crisis can demonstrate this volatility by increasing social differences.

In the Brazilian educational context, despite the legal advances regarding the discussions on gender, many have been the obstacles to the realization of this theme in schools. This work was thought from the need to understand how the teaching pedagogical practices in the scope of Early Childhood Education, reinforce gender stereotypes or combat sexism through their performance in educational processes and in the formation of gender identity. Understanding that the school as a socializing space for concepts, concepts and practices, contributes to this construction, since it is in it that situations of inequality between men and women, boys and girls materialize, and these, in turn, materialize in the relationship with the teachers through the practices and are naturalized by the speeches and influenced by didactic materials, media etc. In terms of methodology, for data collection, systematic observation and direct interviews with the subjects were used, whose contents were analysed qualitatively and complemented with the Theory of Social Representations (TRS). The results demonstrate that teachers find it difficult to approach gender in the classroom and that there is a process of perpetuation of stereotypes of what it is to be a man and what it is to be a woman, in addition to the resistance in talking about other identities, although there are ruptures in sporadic activities, there was a need for training that instigates, problematize, and sensitizes teachers to systematically address gender issues in their pedagogical practices.

João e as imposições de gênero em como se estivéssemos em um palimpsesto de putas (2016), de Elvira Vigna
(2019-01-30) Barreto, Jéssica Jordanny Rosa; Teixeira, Renata Pimentel; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1789141041884024; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1109264212618027
