This research aims to analyze how important it was for the municipedes with the generation of jobs and the arrival of investors in the municipality of Camaçari. The Petrochemical Complex of Camaçari where many of the residents have not lost hope that it represents an effective instrument in the promotion of economic and social development, to bring about the development and progress of the region, where it can establish the industrial connection between the southeastern and southern regions of the country and also the generation of jobs. And what are the difficulties that this great enterprise has left in the economic and social partner structure for the city of Camaçari and all its urban development after the installation and inauguration of this industrial petrochemical complex. And as this relation had positive or negative action of the Petrochemical Complex of Camaçari in the process of urbanization and some constructions of housing complexes in the direction of development and sanitize the internal agglomerations in the city with the arrival of immigrants from various parts of the state of Bahia and other regions of the country. For this we use as theoretical reference the authors; Almeida (1995), Teixeira (2000), Oliveira (2004) and Rolnink and Klink (2011). This data collection method was qualitative research where it was done through public records and data available on the IBGE website and also in the planning books of the municipal government of Camaçari, dating from 1974, 1975 and 1977. We found in these documents some divergences in urban planning from the cities that ceded geographic areas to this great industrial enterprise and were not planned together with the industrial complex of Camaçari since this was the first petrochemical complex industrialized, planned throughout the country.
