Through plain and contrast radiographs, it was possible to observe the esophagus quite distended by trachea gas, in addition to dorsal displacement of the trachea even as also radiographic signs suggestive of megaesophagus. Therefore, drug treatment with antacid and prokinetic substance was chosen, in addition to a change in dietary management. Through imaging tests in line with patient's clinic, the main suspicion to be investigated was idiopathic megaesophagus, confirmed later through the good response of clinical condition to the treatment.
