It is characterized when a fragment of the tibial tuberosity detaches from the tibia, where the patellar ligament is inserted, due to the force exerted by the tendon as a result of a sudden or traumatic movement. Aseptic Necrosis of the Femoral Head (NACF) also affects young dogs, between 3 and 13 months old, mainly small breeds, such as Toys and Terriers, being defined as a debilitating condition characterized by aseptic, non-inflammatory, avascular and idiopathic condition of the femoral head, due to ischemia that can be triggered by several factors, including traumatic and hereditary. The present work aims to describe the post-surgical physiotherapeutic treatment of a dog, of the Jack Russell Terrier breed, with pain and lameness in the right pelvic limb due to FATT, which aggravated the predisposing NACF, which underwent osteosynthesis surgery and colocephalectomy later. The fracture correction was carried out on January 29, 2024 and physiotherapy began on March 5, 2024, due to complaints about the lack of weight bearing on the affected limb. At the beginning of the physiotherapeutic protocol, persistence of pain and lameness was noted, with NACF being diagnosed on March 22, 2024 and colocephalectomy performed on April 1, 2024, with a subsequent return to rehabilitation on April 9, 2024. The case was followed from the first session after colocephalectomy surgery, during the Mandatory Supervised Internship (ESO), at the Marlene Reis Rehabilitation Center, in Recife-PE.Item Ressecção de metástase em parede abdominal e ureter direito de cadela com tumor de mama - Relato de caso(2024-03-01) Mendonça, Hugo Leite Serrano de; Cavalcanti, Grazielle Anahy de Sousa Aleixo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3165940085830406; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4958811888680903“Estágio Supervisionado Obrigatório” (ESO) — “Mandatory Supervised Internship” — is the course for the of the final semester of the undergraduate Veterinary Medicine program at the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFRPE), with a total workload of 420 hours. The ESO was carried out at UFRPE's University Veterinary Hospital (HVU), in the area of Veterinary Surgical Clinic, from October 2, 2023 to January 19, 2024, with a total workload of 420 hours. The area chosen enabled me to learn about surgical techniques, preoperative assessments and care after surgery in small animals, adding to my knowledge of the broad field of Surgical Clinic. This report describes the activities carried out during the internship and the case report of a three-month-old female canine patient, who underwent surgery to section the ligamentum arteriosum and was diagnosed with Persistent Right Aortic Arch Disease (PAAD). PAAD is characterized by the position of the aorta to the right, causing the ligamentum arteriosum to cause extraluminal compression of structures such as the esophagus and trachea, thus resulting in a secondary megaesophagus, the presence of symptoms usually appears after weaning, with the introduction of solid food, there is postprandial regurgitation. From the clinical suspicion to the diagnosis, it is necessary to associate imaging tests. A contrast study of the esophagus helps with clinical confirmation, as well as other imaging tests. Corrective surgery is the most recommended treatment for persistence of the 4th right aortic arch.Item Relatório de Estágio Supervisionado Obrigatório realizado no Espaço Pet Clínica Veterinária (EPCV), João Pessoa - PB. Both partial and total biliary obstruction allow an ascending infection to occur. The obstruction can also cause ischemic stenosis in the gallbladder wall, as well as the presence of bacteria can cause increased weakness in the gallbladder wall causing necrotizing cholecystitis and result in increased organ fragility that can cause rupture. The biliary tract disease usually affects animals older than 8 years and there are no reports of sexual predilection, but small breeds tend to develop the disease more. The treatment, when there is obstruction, is surgical; when not, there is the possibility of clinical treatment, but there is the need for constant monitoring to evaluate the development of the disease. The objective of this paper was to report a case of recovery and survival of a patient with ruptured gallbladder, despite aggravating factors and other comorbidities.Item Artroscopia da articulação escápulo umeral no tratamento da osteocondrite dissecante na cabeça do úmero e cavidade glenóide em cão da raça husky siberiano: relato de caso(2022-10-10) Ribeiro, Juliana Siqueira Duarte; Araújo, Carolina Akiko Sato Cabral de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5868230858347175; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2461894100007776The mandatory supervised internship brings the undergraduate student closer to the daily activities present in the routine of a Veterinary Medicine professional. It is the opportunity to broaden knowledge, putting into practice the learning gained in between academic courses. This curriculum component consisted in 420 hours of internships carried out at the student's chosen institution.
