The research is qualitative in nature, and it s descriptive characteris tic partially followed the recommendations of the Standards for Reporting Qualitative Research: A Synthesis of Recommendations. The study was carried out at the PSTP nucleus, at the Department of Physical Education (DEFIS), at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE). From February 2019 to March 2020. The sampling strategy was a convenience sampling; the data collection methods were based on the phenomenon observed during the program's activities. Each conflict situation, as well as the strategies used for mediation, was analyzed by the researcher. The researcher's notes and memories were considered. As a result, the main most evident conflicts occurred in the intrapersonal sphere: the crisis of the disability itself, which caused a change in mood and stereotyped behavior. This fact interfered directly in the engagement of the participants; the interpersonal: due to the different types of disabilities, they present different behaviors that interfered in relationships; and th e group: they happened du ring manipulative activities. Conflicts arose in this context when there were material disputes, or for some undesirable attitudes. The initial strategies focused on preventive mediation, they had positive effects, other strategies were to engage them in t he organization of activities, transfer of simple responsibilities, thus distracting them from possible conflicts. Promoting feelings of joy, self confidence, and development of autonomy. With these strategies it was possible to ob serve a substantial impro vement in behavior. It is concluded that the interventions aimed to make the participants confident to carry out the activities, and at the same time bring benefits to their motor, cognitive and social development.
