Within this theme, the military government, which lasted 21 years, experienced several protests and propaganda, favorable and unfavorable moments. We take football as a central aspect of the analysis of the military government between the years of 1968 and 1972, it is possible to perceive the sport as a fundamental element in understanding the propaganda and the ideological discourse constructed by the military around the political project, in this way the work of the Special Public Relations Advisory (SPRA), a government propaganda body, together with National Agency and de president, found in sport a possibility of spreading a good image and nationalist discourse favorable for the dictatorship.Item A professora Lúcia Emília Carvalho de Araújo e a repressão de 1964 em Pernambuco: a trajetória de uma educadora vítima da ditadura(2021-12-13) Terencio, Caio Leite Correia; Silva, Marcília Gama da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0090863442089957; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0493289041960924Even 57 years after the beginning of the Brazilian military dictatorship, the discussion on the subject generates heated and passionate debates. Human rights and individual liberties are still relativized in a contumacious way, and not much has been learned from this experience. Fiery political speeches detract from those who fell in the fight against the dictatorship in an attempt to justify the atrocities committed by the regime. One such victim was the teacher Lúcia Emília Carvalho de Araújo, who, like hundreds of other victims, lacks in-depth research about the mistreatment to which they were subjected. The documentary collection used for this research comes from the Public Archive of Pernambuco, which has vast documentation from the former Department of Political and Social Order – DOPS – (1935 – 1990).
