This article seeks to discuss the process of African entry into the port of Recife and its relationship with the brotherhood of the Rosário dos Homens Pretos in this same region. We will analyze the profile of enslaved people who joined the brotherhood between the years 1718-1728 with a focus on defining the question of condition of the brothers of the Rosário.
