Item Entre insígnias e brasões: a construção do Movimento Armorial sob a ótica do Diário de Pernambuco (1970-1974)(2024-10-04) Soares Júnior, José Benedito; Silva, Lucas Victor; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0058476610695399; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2171560150857240This research aims to analyze the dissemination of the Armorial Movement in the publications of the newspaper Diário de Pernambuco (DP), in the city of Recife, from 1970 to 1974. Using the newspaper as the source and object, the goal is to identify how the DP disseminated and represented the Movement Armorial in its editions and also address the role of the subjects involved in disseminating the Armorial Movement, their social positions and the state support given to this cultural manifestation. The data for this research was collected in the Hemeroteca Digital, on the National Library website, using the word ‘armorial’ as a filter. Data analysis showed that the discourses produced by the DP are similar to the state discourse in the cultural scope. This discourse aspires to portray the Armorial Movement, especially the Orquestra Armorial de Câmara do Recife as a manifestation that represents the roots of Brazilian culture.Item O Plano Collor I nas páginas do Jornal do Commercio e do Diário de Pernambuco(2022-05-18) Morais, Murilo Veloso de; Silva, Marcília Gama da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0090863442089957The present study seeks to identify the economic columnists of Diário de Pernambuco (DP) and Jornal do Commercio (JC), in the period between March 16, 1990 and January 31, 1991; as well as to analyze the expressions of the columnists and of the printed communication vehicles themselves in relation to the Collor Plan, in the established time-frame. For this purpose, this research is methodologically supported by the procedures for analyzing journals, presented by the authors Maria Helena Capelato and Tânia de Luca. The research was carried out through a bibliographic survey on the theme "Government and Collor Plan" - and its set of Provisional Order, which aimed to liquidate inflation, as well as modernize the country and provide it with fiscal balance -, on the Scielo.br, Google Scholar and Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations databases; and carried out in the Public Archive of the State of Pernambuco, where we physically access the newspapers, given that the Digital Newspaper Library of the National Library does not have the editions of these newspapers from the 1990s digitized. The research shows that the Diário de Pernambuco opts for a line of total alignment with the Fernando Collor government, including adopting the policy of building a heroic image of the elected President, attributing to him the actions they considered positive with the general public, while Jornal do Commercio, despite initial support in its editorial, adopts, through its columnists, a more critical stance towards governmental acts and actions. Throughout the researched period the newspaper became as critical as its columnists
