The use of endogenous and exogenous antioxidants such as tocopherol and melatonin has been widely studied due to the fact that it is an effective treatment that helps in combating the various harms resulting from diabetes. Melatonin during pregnancy is known to contribute to hemodynamic regulation and aid in the development of offspring organs, such as the gonads, as well as to combat hepatic oxidative stress. Thus, the aim of this paper is to test the hypothesis that melatonin administered during pregnancy in rats may prevent the deleterious effects produced by gestational diabetes on the offspring's gonads. The gonads were analyzed histologically, morphometrically and immunohistochemically at 30 and 60 postnatal. Fifteen 90-day-old virgin albino rats (Rattus norvegicus albinus), weighing approximately close of 200g, from the Wistar strain, from the Department of Animal Morphology and Physiology at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco, were divided into three groups: I - Puppies (n = 12) born from non-diabetic mothers, kept in a 12/12 hour light / dark cycle; II - Puppies (n = 12) born from diabetes-induced mothers during pregnancy, kept in a 12/12 hour light / dark cycle and III - Puppies (n = 12) born from diabetes-induced mothers during pregnancy and treated simultaneously with melatonin, kept in light / dark cycle of 12/12. Gestational diabetes was induced after mating confirmation with intraperitoneal injections of 60 mg / kg streptozotocin. Melatonin was administered in daily injections of 0.8 mg / kg throughout pregnancy. The results revealed that gestational diabetes can interfere in the development of offspring gonads by altering their histology and morphometry, delaying their maturation. This effect could be reversed by melatonin.Item Plasticidade fenotípica de Talinumtriangulare (Jacq.) Engl. e impactos sobre a regeneração natural em fragmento florestal urbano(2019-07-10) Tavares, Rita de Cássia da Silva; Silva, Ana Carolina Borges Lins e; Nascimento, Ladivânia Medeiros do; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0483385037934634; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7518216414237885; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5988869092122649Biological invasion is the process that involves the establishment and large proliferation of a species not native to the environment, leading to imbalances in the native community. Invasive alien species threaten ecosystems, habitats or species, due to their competitive advantages and facilitated by the absence of predators and the degradation of natural environments, caused mainly by anthropic actions. The biological invasions affect ecological processes and the physical environment, being one of the aggravating factors the influence on the successional processes of regeneration of the forests. Conservation Units are an active way of protecting biodiversity and natural resources. The invasive species Epipremnum aureum (L.) Engl. is possibly from the Solomon Islands and the main feature that distinguishes E. aureum from native species of the family Araceae is the membranous leaf blade, greenish discolor with yellowish macules. Its leaves when new are small, this size relative to the creeping terrestrial habit, but when adults begin to adhere in a stem gradually becoming larger. E. aureaum has a great capacity of colonization, allied to the favorable conditions of its propagation in the urban forest fragment of the JBR and from this problematic, the present study aims to check the impacts caused by this invasive species on the regeneration of this fragment, thus giving subsidy for future analyzes and prevention and control measures. Three ANI, AI1 and AI2 areas were sampled, classified in non-infested area and areas with infestation levels (predominance of invasive species), for analysis of floristic and structural described. After diagnosis, the density values showed a tendency to increase; difference in the distribution of abundance of individuals and decreasing diversity patterns throughout the infestation. There may be indications that these infested areas of the JBR fragment may be providing resources that benefit exotic species rather than native speciesItem Avaliação da produção de endotoxinas por Bacillus thuringiensis cultivado com substratos agroindustriais(2019-12-13) Freitas, Lívia Santos de; Porto, Ana Lúcia Figueiredo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4989617783837981; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3952630035656313Item Concepções de dirigentes de Cátedras Paulo Freire situadas nas regiões Nordeste, Norte e Sul sobre a educação ambiental nesses espaços formativos(2019-12-11) Melo, Rayanne Fernanda da Costa; Araújo, Monica Lopes Folena; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7902118982606429; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9482894229025547Environmental education (EE) can be used as a tool for individuals to develop sustainable skills and attitudes through critical awareness. This requires moving away from traditional banking education and moving towards emancipatory education. These precepts are part of Freire's pedagogy. In view of the approximation of EE with Freire's thoughts and methodology, it is important to understand the conceptions of the leaders of Paulo Freire Chairs on EE in these formative spaces. To achieve this general objective we resorted to the use of interviews that were transcribed and analyzed in the light of content analysis. The results allow us to infer that in the conception of the leaders, the EA is directly related to Freire's ideas, and it is not possible to dissociate the social from the environmental. EA, emphasizing its influence on the works developed in these spaces. Some of the actions developed in these training spaces with EA are: research, training of educators, in Youth and Adult Education and offer of subjects.Item Dinâmica da ocupação de Dendropsophus decipiens (Lutz, 1925) em bromélias de um fragmento de Mata Atlântica semidecidual(2019-12-13) Santos, Rebeca Vitória Inácio dos; Araújo, Alan Pedro de; Moura, Geraldo Jorge Barbosa de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1348666346504103; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7843892415680764; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7183058148320345By offer microhabitat, bromeliads are of great importance in the life of amphibians. Anuran bromeliads eventually use bromeliads, and in the rainy season they go to water bodies like temporary puddles and lakes to breed. It is not known if these adults return to the same bromelials or even if their descendants also return. Thus the following work aims to understand the dynamics of occupation of Dendropsophus decipiens (Lutz, 1925) living in bromeliads during a dry and rainy period in bromelials located in the Alto da Buchada Forest in the Tapacurá ecological reserve in the metropolitan region of Recife. The collections were performed from October 2017 to October 2018, with a sampling effort of four people where the method used was the visual active search, done at night between 18:00 and 22:00. The collected specimens were weighed, measured individually marked by the elastomer technique. The abundance of anurans was 127 individuals collected and through this study found that precipitation and temperature were important factors in the presence or absence of these animals in the bromelials.Item Análise da percepção de professores do Ensino fundamental à utilização da música como recurso pedagógico no ensino de Ciências(2019-12-13) Araújo, Misrain Rayane Nunes de; Burgos, Fábia Regina Nascimento Fernando; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3776642205741967; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4720922959621981About Science teaching, many are the encountered difficulties in the teaching learning process. For this reason, the search and implementation of new pedagogical techniques that ain to make this process easier. The music is a simple, dynamic and contextualized teaching resource wich a high potential to assist the learning process. This study aims to analyze the use of the music as a pedagogical resource in Science teaching based on school teachers’ perceptions. This survey was made with fifteen teachers using a questionnaire consisting of discursive and objective questions. This work does not intend to exclude or diminish traditional education effectveness, neither to propose the use of a unique pedagogical resource, but to show the music as am additional pedagogical resource to reach the main goal: the learning. As the society is in a constant development, a greta versatility by the teachers is required to improve t he sucess rate of their goals.Item Microplásticos do plâncton na porção norte da APA Costa dos Corais (Tamandaré, Brasil)(2019-12-13) Ferreira, Lucas Xavier; Melo Júnior, Mauro de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6735233221650148; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7507756194543034Microplastics are particles smaller than 5 mm and can be broadly classified as: filamentous, hard fragments and soft fragments. These particles are among the main current solid contaminants in the marine environment. Such fragments can be released into the environment in different ways, such as degradation itself through biotic or abiotic factors. After being degraded, these particles can be suspended in the water column, thus being able to be ingested by organisms, especially filters at the base of the food chain. The work aims to characterize the plankton microplastics in the waters that bathe the northern portion of the Costa dos Corais Environmental Protection Area, in Tamandaré (PE), aiming at the evaluation of three planktonic compartments in the area (estuarine plume, in the reefs and in the bay ). Samples from 4 campaigns carried out between Sep / 2017 and Mar / 2018 were analyzed, aiming to sample periods with different rainfall regimes, always at low water (to better establish the influence of estuarine plumes). The analyzed microplastics were quantified and classified according to type. To confirm the visually screened microplastics, tests were performed with nitric acid (HNO3). The results show that there is a higher incidence of filamentous microplastics (12 ± 13 mp / m³), compared to other types. The presence of filamentous microplastics reached an average density of 16.08 ± 16.22 mp m³ in the plume, in the dry period, and in the rainy period it had an average of 21.62 ± 20.77 mp m³ in the reefs. . The densities of filamentous microplastics were significantly different between points (plume, bay and reefs). In each period, even with this variation between the points, the data indicate that there was a variation between the points, but if compared to other studies, the variation is not significant, although the bay has shown variation in relation to the other areas. In the present study, the seasonal period did not have a significant influence on the increase in the presence of microplastics in the studied points, even though microplastics are common in estuarine systems in several parts of the world, the fact that there were no seasonal differences in the studied points ( it was expected that during the rains the occurrence of microplastics would be higher) due to the insertion of the Ilhetas and Mamucabas estuaries in a protected region (APA Guadalupe and ReBio de Saltinho).Item O impacto do Programa Residência Pedagógica na formação inicial dos licenciandos em Ciências Biológicas(2019-12-03) Oliveira, Keila Pessoa de; Silva, Flávia Carolina Lins da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7547725170997480; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4134052613145535The initial and continuing formation of teachers in basic education has been the target of political agendas in different administrative spheres throughout the country. The Pedagogical Residence (P.R.) consists in a program for teaching initiation for students of teaching degree, enabling the partnership between higher education institutions and public education networks. Its purpose is to reduce the disarticulation between theory and school practice. This study is characterized as a descriptive-exploratory research with qualitative-quantitative approach, applying the mixed method. It was performed with the teaching students of biological sciences from the P.R. of the Pernambuco Rural Federal University. The present work had as objective to analyze this program contribution in the residence student’s perspective. Analyzing if in fact in their perspectives, this strategy contributed in their formation of being a teacher.
