This study was developed with data from a collection carried out in 2009. Sixteen lactating Girolando cows were selected. The animals were divided into four treatments of 0, 10, 20 and 30 minutes on a cooling system. The statistical analysis used was the multivariate, using the technique of Principal Component Analysis on the environmental, physiological and behavioral parameters have influence on milk production and quality. The rumination was opposite to the production, indicating that it was smaller, because it presents a condition of possible stress. The CCS was strongly influenced by the TR and in turn the FR. Both TR and FR presented the highest values in time of 0 minutes indicating a condition of thermal stress, which reflected in accentuated values of CCS, reducing milk quality. The use of 10,20 and 30 min cow exposure times to the evaporative adiabatic cooling system provided significant changes in somatic cell counts.Item Assistência técnica x qualidade do leite: importância das boas práticas de produção na fazenda paras as indústrias de laticínios(2019) Vieira, Mary Adriélle Cristianny Gregório; Silva, Fabiana Maria da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3782949109950763; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4732082364248892Item Avaliação da plasticidade fenotípica para produção leiteira em um rebanho holandês na região de São Bento do Una (PE)(2019-12-13) Vilar, Claudianny Souto Maior de Moraes; Santoro, Kleber Régis; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1655315613903732; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4897576252185445The climate acts directly on animals, which when exposed to bad weather for several hours of the day, become extremely susceptible to a permanent state of stress, which trigger physiological changes in adaptation, compromising the productive performance of the animal. Most animals raised for milk production are sensitive to the high temperatures found in tropical areas, and the climate elements are often so intense that they cause an imbalance between the animal and the environment. The present study evaluated the phenotypic plasticity for dairy production in a Holstein herd in the region of São Bento do Una (PE), as well as evaluated the different genotypic composition of the animals for the HSP-70 gene, influences their climate adaptation and consequently milk production. With the help of the Pernambuco Agronomic Institute (PAI) - São Bento do Una Experimental Station it was possible to acquire 117,323 daily milk production data from 271 animals from 2008 to 2018. Information on daily rainfall from 2008 to 2014 were obtained on the website of the Pernambuco Water and Climate Agency (PWCA), the materials of solar radiation, relative humidity, average, maximum and minimum temperature, referring to the years 2008 to mid 2012, were purchased from Integrated Data Center (IDC) from the National Institute for Space Research (NISR) and climate data from the end of the year 2012 to 2014 were received by IPA Experimental Station of São Bento do Una. Molecular genetics analyzes were obtained from Maria das Dores Silva Araújo's master's thesis, entitled “Genetic diversity and association of the heat shock gene (HSP-70) with the productive performance in dairy cows in the semiarid”. The study was conducted on the basis of ITU, as they better indicate the quality of the animals' thermal comfort than simply the climatic variables alone. After the acquisition and correction of data related to milk production, climatic variables, HSP-70 gene polymorphisms and ITU was created a single database with 24,196 observations of six polymorphisms. Correlation, variance, regression and descriptive analyzes, performed with the information present in the database, were performed with the aid of SAS version 9.4 software. By evaluating the HSP-70 gene, the phenotypic plasticity for milk production in the Dutch herd was confirmed, and the influence of different animal genotypic compositions for the same gene. Through the collected data, the G polymorphism was the one with the highest productive average and the lowest average productivity loss under thermal stress conditions, and can be used as a basis for the improvement of animals for tropical region.Item Caracterização da caprinocultura leiteira no município de Alagoinha, Pernambuco(2018-07-26) Galindo, Gislane Mendes; Magalhães, André Luiz Rodrigues; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2621131411062422; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1597057408531764Alagoinha is located in the agreste Pernambucano which has been staanding out in last years for the production goat milk on the community Lage do Carrapicho. Actually in the community, thirty families commercialize goat's milk for the industrialization and distribution of milk, through social programs of the state and federal governments. The activity has come progress and growth socioeconomic in the state, but, there isn’t a scientific study about the activity on the region which shows its positives and negatives and yours opportunities, as well as their threats. The objective of this study was to study the sale of goat milk in the last five years, to characterize the properties, the goat herd and its structure, and to outline the current profile of goat milk producers in the municipality of Alagoinha-PE-Brazil. To do so, initially the number of active producers was surveyed, and 30 producers were identified, to whom structured questionnaires were applied, face-to-face, the survey also counts on pre-existing data obtained from access to the producers register, minutes of meetings and control books for the sale of goat milk in the municipality. The results show that the sale of milk presents an important source of income for families and high success rates in the last five years. The production of derivatives is an important opportunity to reduce dependence on government programs. The properties are characterized as family units of production, where activity has reduced the rural exodus and is a factor of inclusion of female labor in the field. The goat herd is composed mostly of crossbred dairy cattle with predominant use of the Saanen breed, 70% of which are likely to expand. Sporadic and unskilled technical assistance compromises the speed of progress of these production systems. Goat milk producers have an optimistic profile, and their commitment is based on the principles of associativism and cooperativism practiced in the Lage do Carrapicho community.Item Efeito da dieta basal sobre o desempenho de cabras em lactação(2023-09-11) Souza, Margot Santos de; Ferreira, Marcelo de Andrade; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4818123702136736; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4617261628043561Goat farming has increasing in Brazil, especially in the Northeast region, which is responsible for 32% of the country's total production. Due to the edaphoclimatic conditions of this region some studies are carried out trying to improve the performance of those animals. Therefore, the present study intented to evaluate the effect of different sources of fiber (corn silage, sorghum silage, pangolon hay or sugarcane bagasse) associated with cactus pear in diets for Saanen goats in lactation process on nutrient intake and digestibility, ingestive behavior, milk production and composition. The experiment was carried out at the Experimental Station of the Pernambuco Agronomic Institute (IPA) in Sertânia (Pernambuco). Twelve multiparous and lactating goats were used in this experiment with an average weight of 48.9 kg, average initial production of 2.8 kg of milk/day and lactation period of 80 days. The goats were weighed, identified and distributed according to their productivity in three simultaneous Latin squares (4 x 4), containing four animals, four treatments and four experimental periods. The 4 experimental period LASTED 21 days each, with the initial 14 days for adaptation of the animals, and others for data and sample collection (food, leftovers, feces and milk). The diets were offered ad libitum as a complete mixture, three times a day, allowing 5 to 10% of the total dry matter supplied. The goats were manually milked twice a day. For the ingestive behavior, the activity that the goat is performing (feeding, rumination or idleness) were observed every 10 minutes for 24 hours. Statistical analyzes were performed using a PROC MIXED package from SAS (2014). Intake of dry matter (2.58kg/day) and organic matter (2.30kg/day), crude protein (0.385 kg/day), ether extract (0.170 kg/day), neutral detergent fiber (0.895 kg/day), non-fiber carbohydrates (0.858 kg/day) and metabolizable energy (5.66 Mcal/day) did not differ between fiber sources that made up the basal diet (P>0.05). Fiber sources did not influence the digestibility of dry matter and nutrients (P>0.05). The association of cactus pear with silages, hay and sugarcane bagasse did not alter milk production without correction, corrected for 3.5% of fat and corrected for energy (2.78; 2.53 and 2. 55 kg/day, respectively), in addition to the composition of the milk (P>0.05). The diets did not cause changes in any of the items evaluated in the ingestive behavior (P>0.05). It is recommended that any of the fiber sources be purchased along with cactus pear in the basal diet of lactating goats.Item Fontes lipídicas na gestão estratégica de redução de custos com alimentação de cabras leiteiras(2023-09-15) Araújo, Ayrton Manuel Silva de; Soares, Luciana Felizardo Pereira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4071178363761831; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4482266576342953Animal feed is crucial for dairy production and represents a significant part of production costs. The objective was to evaluate lipid sources, as a strategy to reduce feed costs, whether or not associated with Spineless cactus in goat milk production. For the study, 12 lactating Saanen goats were used, with an average body weight of 55 ± 8 kg, distributed in a 4x4 Latin square, with a 2x2 factorial arrangement. The treatments consisted of two lipid sources, Coconut fruit pulp by-product (PC) and whole cottonseed (CA), associated or not with Orelha de Elefante Mexicana (POEM), in the following proportions: PC - 5% Coconut fruit pulp by-product; PC+POEM - 5% Coconut fruit pulp by-product + 25% POEM; CA – 20% whole cottonseed; CA+POEMA - 20% whole cottonseed + 25% POEMA. Animals that consumed diets that had whole cottonseed as the main source of energy showed higher performance indices (P<0.05). The PC+POEM treatment presented the lowest cost for 1 kg of dry matter (R$ 1.78). The PC diet demonstrated lower daily food costs (R$ 2.54). Total income was higher for the CA + POEM diet (R$ 8.17), as was net income (R$ 4.19). Therefore, it is recommended to combine whole cottonseed with forage palm Orelha de Elefante Mexicana, in the feeding of lactating goats, due to the reduction in feed costs, especially in roughage and better performance, contributing to greater profitability of the activity. Due to the edaphoclimatic characteristics of the region (Semi-arid), characterized by low rainfall and high temperatures, challenges related to forage production must be faced in order to sustain dairy production systems in the region. Thus, the implementation of high-yielding roughage can be achieved through appropriate agricultural practices, the use of technologies, the selection of varieties adapted to the region's climate and the adoption of good management practices. In this way, fodder palm has been a valuable option for livestock farming in the Agreste region of Pernambuco, contributing to animal food security during periods of drought and offering a sustainable alternative for feeding livestock in the semi-arid region. The aim was to develop a milk production system with palm-based diets, based on the identification in the literature of the main reference indicators to be improved in order to increase the sustainability of dairy farming in Pernambuco. After identifying them and based on zootechnical indices considered achievable, a stabilized herd was idealized and diets based on fodder palm were calculated to meet the needs of this herd. Subsequently, the reference indices were recalculated and showed a significant improvement, indicating that palm can be an extremely important strategy for daisy fanning in the state.
