The Brazilian sign language - LIBRAS is the natural language used by communities of deaf people in Brazil. Libras is considered the 2nd official language of Brazil and as the different natural languages it is composed of morphology, phonology, syntax and semantics. Deaf students when they are inserted in the classroom present some difficulties in the teaching and learning process due to the predominance of the oral language and the absence of signs in some areas of teaching, mainly in science teaching. Human Anatomy is a descriptive science that studies the structures and shapes of the human body. According to the definition of Dangelo and Fattini, Anatomy is the discipline that studies macro and microscopically, the constitution and development of organized beings. The teaching and learning process of this discipline is considered complex due to the number of anatomical terms that are used to describe the human body. Based on the observations made by the deaf student who is inserted in the Human Anatomy classroom of the first period of Licenciatura in Physical Education at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco UFRPE, it was revealed the difficulties that the student faces when faced with the specific terminologies of the Anatomy. From this systematic observation, the work in question aimed to create signs in the Brazilian sign language - LIBRAS, which help in the teaching of Human Anatomy and in understanding the specific terminologies of the discipline. The signs were created and improved together with the deaf student targeted by the observations and the Libras interpreter who accompanies him. Temporary signs were created in order to support the teaching of Human Anatomy for deaf students and serve as a basis for further studies that can fully support the specific signs of the different contents of Human Anatomy.
