This study is on a reflection on the history of architecture and seeks to describe and analyse the Jesuit School in Olinda, designed and built in the 16th century by the architect Francisco Dias, within a contemplation of the history of architecture. First we tried to understand the history, the social function and the reinforcement of the Society of Jesus through its learning centers, culture and politic. Then we examinated the architectural renovations made by the "Companhia de Jesus", such as Olinda Seminar.
