    Uma análise da Política Pública de Agricultura Familiar no município de Alagoinha-PE

    The objective of this study was to investigate how the public policy of family farming is developed in the municipality of Alagoinha-PE. Considering the importance of family farming for rural development, we sought to analyze how the municipal administration's incentive is implemented with regard to the family farming public policy from the perspective of the secretary of family farming and cooperativism, as well as from the perspective of the beneficiaries of the fair. In this context, the research addresses theoretical concepts about public policy, family farming, national policy for strengthening family farming, National Program for Strengthening Family Farming and family farming public policy in Alagoinha-PE. The methodology used is characterized as an exploratory research whose data collection occurred through the application of forms with closed and open questions with the marketers as well as an interview with the secretary of family agriculture and cooperativism of the municipality. As a result, regarding the commercialization of the production at the Family Farming Fair, this, although minimally, favors the generation of a supplementary income for the families. The results obtained point to rural development, strengthening of family farming and promotion of food and nutritional security in the municipality of Alagoinha. However, the difficulty of diversification of fruit and vegetable products was identified, due to local climatic conditions. For this reason, it becomes relevant the applicability of public policies by the municipal, state and federal spheres aimed at technical assistance and cooperativism in family farming.
