The main object of study of this work is to analyze the visible and invisible spaces as a fundamental piece of transformation of the characters within José Saramago's work on blindness (1995), since the characters change throughout the narrative. It is also intended to work the space category, as well as philosophical theories about space, in order to report the spaces that the narrative addresses. In this way we use from the reading of Luis Alberto Brandão in his work "The theory of literary space", where he presents the theories that were chosen for the study of the work. With "The poetics of the space -Gaston Bachelard" and "Microfisicalof the power" of Foucault.

(2019) Oliveira, Irlani Ramos de; Pereira, Kleyton Ricardo Wanderley; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8902091363038170; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6440842116114211
In this work, we seek to analyze the work À sombra do Okáof the writer Olinda Beja, in the interest of deepening the studies in the presence of her I-lyrical, directed towards her native land and, consequently, her identity construction through her poems. We will start from the history of colonialism and what happened after this moment, postcolonialism, in the life and literature of African countries, always supporting us in the theory ofThomas Bonnici (2009), which gives us a broad perspective on postcolonialism and its constructions over time, as well as the proposals ofInocência Mata (2010), where the author approaches in her book "Insular Polyphonies" themes related to the voice of the culture and literature of São Tomé and Príncipe. We will make a brief presentation of the "Insular Culture", which guides our central theme, using as theoretical basis the writerAmarino Oliveira de Queiroz (2007), where in her thesis sought to present qualitative and quantitative elements related to the sister islands and also to the writerOlinda Beja, And finally, we appreciate the work cited, where we seek to list elements that show us the construction of this St. Francis identity, always quoting fragmented pieces of the work to relate to our perceptions.
