    Indicadores sociais e desenvolvimento local: o caso do município de Vitória de Santo Antão-PE

    Social indicators have information for coping with adversities with a view to local development. This research aimed to investigate how the data regarding "Health", "Education" and "Employment & Income", arranged by the Pernambuco State Database and the FIRJAN System, portray the basic needs of the citizens of Vitória de Santo Antão-PE in the period from 2013 to 2016. This study finds research bases in descriptive research. The data were obtained in a secondary way in the Pernambuco State Database and the FIRJAN System. Data analysis was based on thematic categories. The results indicate that there is a misstep or failure in the municipal government actions adopted for the dimensions Education and Employment & Income. With this research it is concluded that the social indicator of the dimension "Health" portrays adequate care to the population of Vitória de Santo Antão-PE, however, the dimensions of "Education" and "Employment & Income", deserve attention regarding the resizing or new proposals of public policies with a view to increasing these indexes and, thus, meeting efficiently and effectively, the basic needs of Victorian society and thus effecting local development.

    This research has the purpose reflect on societal racism and search for valuation and recognition of the law number 10.639/2003 through the screen ethnography of the M8 - When the death helps the life movie. To understand the black people's social formation and their relationship with the society through the cinema, reflecting about societal racism across the cinematographic production eyes. Mauricio is an outskirt black man with an African religion, racial quota holder, a student at a public medical school, and experiencing trials and situations in his personal, religious, and academic life. The theoretical background revealed discussions about identity, difference, and representation thinking on possibilities against hegemony, looking for one perspective about cinema and societal racism. Moreover, understanding how the cinema can contribute to the criticism, developing ways for professors to build a debate environment, reflections, and discuss racial/ethnic identity. The methodology adopted consists of reuse screen ethnography. First, taking an interview with decoupage, which consists in segmented the movie into some group of scenes to facilitate work on them. Then, the analytic procedure starts with the relationship between the scenes and the societal racism reflected in the movie.

    Mulheres negras nas artes: a representatividade das negras enquanto artistas nas artes visuais

    This research aims to discuss the impacts of the lack of representation of black women in the field of visual arts as artists, from the historical contextualization of art education and teaching for black women, reflecting on them in the field of visual arts as providers of representativeness and highlighting the challenges to achieve prominence as a black artist in the visual arts. The theoretical framework includes reflections on research in the history of education and art teaching for black women, representative artists, in addition to contextualizing and discussing the challenges and impacts of the lack of female representation in art, specifically black women. The methodological procedures adopted consist of a bibliographic survey and a semi-structured choice with black artists. The data obtained indicate that patriarchy, social and religious policies, social and gender inequality, racism, Eurocentrism, informality, anonymity, historical erasure, and devaluation of the productions of black artists in the visual arts, especially the of Pernambuco's northern forest are factors that caused and caused the absence of female representation, in addition to hindering the achievement of these artists' protagonism.
