For centuries the negative environmental impacts became known and felt, requiring action to resolve these consequences: environmental management was born. Thus, the present study aimed to understand how environmental management occurs in the municipality of Carpina-PE. For that, an exploratory research was used, with a qualitative approach, with the application of interview with the Manager of the Integrated Management Unit of Environmental Management (UIGA) of the State Environmental Agency (CPRH). Finally, the documents of the municipalities of Carpina and CPRH databases were checked in order to compare with the reality found in the region and with the pertinent legislation, namely: Complementary Law (LC) n. 140/11. In view of the above, it was noticed that the municipality of Carpina, despite obtaining potential, regarding the possibility of decentralization of the activities, carried out by the CPRH, through the presence of professionals qualified for such task, do not have, however, municipal environment, relevant legislation and acting Council of Environment. It is, therefore, recommended that the municipality legislate environmental norms that are efficient and effective at the local level; make the Municipal Environmental Council acting; in addition to implementing the Municipal Environment Fund.

(2021-08-25) Silva, Rosane Coelho da; Carvalho, Marluce Vasconcelos de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2780914280180020
This research aims to evaluate the use of practical activities to create artistic pieces, using recyclable resources in Arts classes. Therefore, we propose two actions that are equivalent to our specific objectives: to identify the damage caused by the disposal of recyclable materials into the environment and to propose activities for teaching Arts using recyclable materials that are in the daily lives of students. The theoretical framework includes discussions about the teaching of Art and about recyclable materials that should be reusable for the good of the environment. The endowed methodological procedures consisted of a qualitative field research, in which we used, as an instrument for data collection, the observation and activities developed in a High School, in the State Network of Paudalho. The results obtained from the proposed discussions and practical activities contributed to the knowledge on the issue of environmental problems caused by inadequate disposal of materials, as well as to the awareness of the need to reuse and recycle waste, thus contributing to the preservation of the environment.

(2021-08-26) Silva, Leilane Jordão Pessoa da; Torres, Niedja Ferreira dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3501803097646190; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6106009687389793
This research aims to highlight the discussions that permeate the thought and educational practice of teaching Arts, aimed at creating works of art with recyclable materials, bringing also awareness about environmental sustainability. The theoretical references consider discussions on the exaggerated consumption of material goods that is responsible for a good part of the environmental impacts, among which we can highlight the high production of waste, bringing a reflection on how art can contribute to improve this situation. For the theoretical discussions mentioned, the theoretical contribution will be based on Barbosa, (1991; 1998), Cavinatto, (1997), Marodin and Morais (2004), Valle (1995) and Zuben (1998), among other authors. At the same time, it cites some artists who use the materiality of garbage in their artworks as examples, Vick Muniz, Jota Azevedo, VeronikaRickterová. The methodological procedure adopted consists of a semi- structured interview with the art teachers of the school where the research was carried out in order to obtain data on the methodologies used. It is expected that the results obtained and the discussions proposed from them, contribute to an awareness and changes in habits in relation to the environment, awakening the students' creativity and keen eye for and with the Visual Arts.
