Its aim is to provide 420 hours of practical experience in a specific area of veterinary medicine, focusing on making the student capable of performing their role by obtaining the title of veterinarian. In this sense, the main objective of this report was to demonstrate the main activities carried out by the student Andreza Carmen de Souza Santos França de Moura under the guidance and co-guidance respectively of the professor Dr. Daniel Friguglietti Brandespim and the professor Dr. Maria Betânia de Queiroz Rolim; and as a secondary objective, to characterize the profile of complaints in food establishments and the actions of the health surveillance of Sanitary District V in the city of Recife-PE, from November 2023 to April 2024. The ESO took place from April 1, 2024, to June 14, 2024, initially at the Health Surveillance in DS V of the Recife city, under the supervision of veterinarian Dr. Raissa Ivna Alquete de Arreguy Baptista and co-supervision of nurse Ilma Cristina Silva do Nascimento; and the second part at Agência de Defesa e Fiscalização Agropecuária do Estado de Pernambuco (ADAGRO) located in Recife, under the supervision of Agricultural State Inspector Dr. Glenda Mônica Luna de Holanda and co-supervisors the Agricultural State Inspectors Marcus Antônio de Souza Medeiros and Roberto de Albuquerque Wanderley. In this way, the internship highlighted, in both parts, the importance of the veterinarian as a health professional to promote food safety and public health.Item Rotina de atividades na Vigilância Ambiental, Sanitária e Epidemiológica em Sirinhaém - PE(2022-06-02) Cunha, Sthephanny Caroline Fidelis Guerra; Medeiros, Elizabeth Sampaio de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5998863169551704; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0891142621840420Veterinary doctor can work in several areas, including public health, demonstrating the great importance of this profession. In view of the actions of this professional, especially in Public Health, it is necessary to debate the subject. Thus, the present Mandatory Supervised Internship (ESO) aimed to report the routine of activities in the Environmental, Epidemiological and Sanitary Surveillance in Sirinhaém-PE: arboviruses, rabies, schistosomiasis, inspections of establishments linked to Veterinary Medicine, as well as the activities complementary courses (training courses). Sirinhaém was considered to be infested with the Aedes Aegypti gnat, with priority being given to combating this mosquito. Among these actions, educational ones were carried out in the residences, on how to condition water and what care should be taken, because due to the irregularity of supply, these reservoirs become breeding grounds for A. aegypti gnat larvae. Traps were placed (eleven points) and confirmation of eggs and/or larvae of the A. aegypti gnat were found in some of them. Vector control were: mechanical and chemical control. Mechanical control: removing the spotlights, placing the screen on possible spots. Chemical control: use of organophosphate insecticides, pyrethroids, and growth regulators, possibly including Chitin Synthesis Inhibitors and Juvenile Hormone Analogues. In the activities of rabies vaccination, a total of 6,865 animals (canines: 4,872; felines: 1,993) were vaccinated with rabies, reaching 84% of the animal population. There were inspections in sectors such as: pharmacy, food truck, beverage warehouse, bar and convenience store, the last two establishments with several irregularities reported and in the other inspection, both followed the guidelines. In the Epidemiological Surveillance, the epidemiological data of schistosomiasis was monitored, and Sirinhaém was considered endemic (nineteen positive cases confirmed). Among the complementary activities: training courses: the “REDESIM /JUCEPE and SEBRAE” and the “e-visit@ - PE -Endemics”. Development of the routines of ESO activities in the area of public health, interconnection of the three Surveillances (Environmental, Sanitary and Epidemiological) was noted and the respective practical experiences were important to professional training, extremely valuable, in the desire to remain committed to learning and practice of the profession.Item Boas práticas no varejo alimentar: atuação do médico veterinário responsável técnico à prevenção da COVID-19 (relato de caso)(2020-10-29) Macena, Camylla Vidal; Rolim, Maria Betânia de Queiroz; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5676854885081836; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9858831950586939The Compulsory Supervised Internship is a mandatory discipline for the veterinary medicine course at UFRPE, which is a moment of fundamental practical experiences in training. This report demonstrates how activities developed at Hipermercado Carrefour Comércio de Indústria LTDA, located in the North Zone of the city of Recife - PE, during the period from March 2 to June 26, 2020, totaling a total workload of 420 hours. This was supervised by veterinarian Sandra Souto de Araújo and supervised by Drª Mª Betânia Queiroz de Rolim. During the internship period at the World Health Organization, the state of contamination by the new Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) increased, declaring the COVID-19 pandemic, which brought many impacts to a society. In this context, the general objective of this work is to report the period experienced to fulfill the mandated supervised internship; and as a specific objective to focus on the role of the veterinarian as a technical officer in the prevention against COVID-19 in a retail establishment in the north of Recife. In view of the current scenario, a protocol was created through the company's crisis committee with protective measures in accordance with state and municipal decrees, in order to maintain the safety of employees and customers during the pandemic period. A check list was applied daily and audits were carried out in the perishable sectors, management, monitoring and compliance with determinations and adjustments, in compliance with ordinances and decrees required by the state government of Pernambuco and other federal requirements. The legislation brings restrictive measures to the exercise of economic activity by supermarkets and hypermarkets, located in the Municipality of Recife, there is no current course of the COVID-19 pandemic. When any item in disagreement was found, it was noted in a spreadsheet and action plans were carried out through training in the sectors on the non-compliance (s) found. ESO provided technical knowledge regarding the role of the veterinarian in charge of the retail technician, communicating the routine and imposed challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, to promote the safe food trade and public health.Item Relato de irregularidades observadas em estabelecimento comercial de Paulista - PE(2020-10-27) Pinho, Ana Emília Pereira Câmara; Rolim, Maria Betânia de Queiroz; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5676854885081836; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5931046458391044The present work had as general objective to report the period experienced to the fulfillment of the discipline 08525 - Mandatory Supervised Internship (MSI) of the Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Medicine; and as a specific objective, describe the procedures adopted by the health surveillance of Paulista - PE, in view of the irregularities observed in a commercial establishment in the city. The ESO took place during the period from March 2, 2020 to May 20, 2020, at the Secretaria de Saúde de Paulista, located in Paulista (PE), under the supervision of Superintendent Fábio Diogo da Silva; and at the Agência de Defesa e Fiscalização Agropecuária do Estado de Pernambuco (ADAGRO), located in Recife (PE), under the supervision of the State Agricultural Inspectorate Drª Glenda Mônica Luna de Holanda. All activities were carried out during the course 08525- Mandatory Supervised Internship of the Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Medicine, from the Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco (UFRPE), under the guidance of Professor Drª Betânia de Queiroz Rolim. The ESO provided technical knowledge about the inspections carried out by the health surveillance of the Secretaria de Saúde de Paulista; and the laws frequently used to act, in the sector of artisanal products, of the State Agricultural Inspectors of ADAGRO. In this context, it was possible to understand the importance of the actions of the municipal health surveillance and of the defense and agricultural inspection of the state, which provide the commercialization of innocuous, safe and quality food.Item Rotina de atividades na vigilância ambiental e epidemiológica: esporotricose, arboviroses, tuberculose e sarampo(2019-12-12) Santos, Maria de Fátima dos; Brandespim, Daniel Friguglietti; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0279327020788151The Report of the Compulsory Supervised Internship (ESO) is the result of the experience of the Compulsory Supervised Internship at Recife City Hall, in one of its health districts, specifically in Health District III, which is located at Rua Xavantes, 205 in Casa Amarela, with cargo. 420 hours in the three areas of health surveillance: Environmental, Sanitary and Epidemiological. It was at this moment that as a student I had the opportunity to combine my theoretical knowledge acquired during graduation with the internship practitioners in the professional environment. The Public Health and Collective Health areas provide a vast field of interdisciplinary action, which aligns professional and theoretical knowledge, aiming at the prevention of diseases and diseases, as well as the promotion of health recovery. This paper concludes the Veterinary Medicine course and describes all the activities carried out in the Sanitary District III of the Recife City Hall, in the city of Recife, Pernambuco. The internship made it possible to monitor, develop and execute activities and actions, based on professional and multiprofessional activities, within the demands of the internship sites, through practices guided by the technicians. In the District there was a rotation in the sectors of Environmental, Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance. The practices were unique moments in the construction of learning, always within the ethics and professional morals. Veterinarians perform important role in areas such as Public Health and Collective Health, which constitute an eminent field of interdisciplinary action, through the application of professional knowledge, aiming at the prevention of diseases and the health’s promotion and recovery. The present undergraduate thesis contains the activities descriptions developed in the Local Health Systems IV and the Food Processing and Analysis Laboratory (UFRPE), both in the city of Recife, Pernambuco. The objective of these internships was to accompany, to develop and to perform activities and actions, based in the professional and multiprofessional performances, within the competencies of internship’s places, through practical skills. In the first place was performed an experience in the Public Health Surveillance sector – which includes the Environmental Health Surveillance, the Epidemiological Monitoring, Surveillance of the Workers Health and the Health Surveillance – and in the Health Care (Public Health), through the local coordination of Expanded Family Health and Primary Health Care Center. In the Laboratory there was did the monitoring of practical classes and the development of a physical-chemical and microbiological study with pizzas sold on an avenue belonging to the territory of the Local Health Systems IV. The activities provided constructive moments, also promoting criticality, within the moral and ethical-professional precepts.
