Item Evidências empíricas sobre evasão de estudantes do curso de Ciências Econômicas em tempos de covid-19(2021-12-17) Soares, Edijunho de Lima; Dugnani, Rodrigo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3362907909200372; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2991052611673316This article aims to address the problem of dropouts in higher education, in the context of the Economic Sciences college at UFRPE-UAST, looking for the crucial reasons that would lead a student to withdraw from the college. Through a bibliographic review and the application of a questionnaire to students of that college, data were collected that point out the possible motivations for evasion. They indicated that socioeconomic factors and school discipline would have greater weight in eventual decisionsItem O pensamento marxista na revista brasileira de economia política: uma revisão bibliográfica(2021-12-07) Rodrigues, Felype Tadeu Neves; Dugnani, Rodrigo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3362907909200372; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1222726452999231We present a systematic literature review on Marxist thought in the Brazilian Journal of Political Economy (REP). We started with reading and organization of the texts available on the journal's online platform, as the obejective to understand how this thought is discussed, since the articles were made available on the website in 2002. Then, we tried to identify the elements and characteristics that the authors point out about Marxist literature. Finally, we present the convergences and divergences of classified themes in the sphere of Political EconomyItem A relação entre democracia e crescimento econômico no início do século XXI (2000-2020)(2022-05-25) Tizei, Emanuela de Queiroz; Dugnani, Rodrigo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3362907909200372; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4429904330359885Faced with the conservative wave that has devastated Brazil and the world in recent years, and bringing to the fore the debates about the crisis of democracy or until its possible end, this work had as general objective to verify if democracy impacts the economic growth of a country to from studies already carried out during the period 2000-2020. We used an integrative literature review as a methodology, which allowed us to make a broad approach to the topic based on previous research and demonstrate the diversity of existing opinions on the subject. Therefore, we found that there are at least four different points of view on the democracy/economic growth relationship: that democracy is responsible for generating economic growth, that democracy does not generate economic growth, that growth only occurs in the process of democratization and that growth was the result of policies adopted by governments and not the political regime in force. From the results of these researches, we can conclude that although most of the articles selected for our database have reached the conclusion that democracy generates economic growth, it is necessary that other analyzes are carried out to clarify points that werenot evident to us, especially considering the need for a more adequate definition for the concept of democracy, since it is generally treated as just the right to vote.
