The objective of this study was to investigate environmental contamination by helmintheggs, with zoonotic potential, in faeces of dogs on the shore of the city of Olinda-PE. Fecal samples collected fromsidewalks on the beaches of Farol, Bairro Novo, Casa Caiada and Rio Doce were submitted to parasitological examination using the methods of Willis, Spontaneous Sedimentation and Flotac. It enables students to earn practice experience within a chosen area, along with the knowledge previously acquired through the Bachelor. This report describes the activities carried out during the internshipin the area of Small Animals Clinic at Santo Agostinho Veterinary Hospital (SAHV),located in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, from September the 18th, 2018 to Decemberthe 04th, 2018. The objective of the internship was to experience the routine of the hospital’s small animal clinic, by following up consultations, collection of material for examinations, observation of the animals in the hospital, visualization of the results of exams and discussion of cases with the veterinarians at the hospital. Thus, the undergraduate aimed at improvingher theoretical and practical knowledge, gaining experience in the small animal clinic and obtaining greatersecurity in the interpretation of exams.
